American House

When we moved in we were introduced at the meal. Everyone greeted us and welcomed us. If there was an issue they resolved it immediately. The meals are good. They serve a hot breakfast 3 days a week and serve yourself the other days. Our main meal is at noon. We are very happy here.

Super friendly staff and residents made my mom feel comfortable and included right away. Very clean, great staff, delicious food and the facility is located on a beautiful piece of property! I would recommend The Lodge to anyone looking into independent living.

Our family recently moved our mother into American House. The staff and residents were very welcoming and put her at ease with this transition. We couldn’t be happier that mom is comfortable and happy in her new home.

I'm very happy with the place! Food is good -staff is wonderful -activities are plenty.

I find the first of the year rate increase excessive, they have improved the building considerably and do have periodical meetings asking residents how they can improve which shows interest. However, many of the complaints are about the food and it has not changed. Overall, outside of the price, it is good. Part of their success is due to the size of the facility which allows attention to detail and efforts to make it a "home".

We chose American house Shallowford mostly because it was within budget; but they made us feel very comfortable. The Staff has been wonderful! My mother-in-law has been there a year now, and she is happy. Best move we made for her and us!

Staff is very helpful, polite and knowledgeable . The da pokey is clean and well maintained . The services they offer such as housekeeping and laundry are great values and done professionally.

The staff seems to be very friendly and caring toward their charges. There are a lot of different activities that they put on. My mother has made new friends, she has made use of on-site physical therapy, and to my surprise, she has been going to the on-site exercise classes. It took my mother about two weeks to get used to the place, but she does seem to be happier at Park Place than she was in her house, just a few weeks ago.

It is a loving and caring community. The staff, the cleanliness, and the affordable prices is what stuck out over other places.

I have recently been searching for a new assisted living facility for my nearly 90 year old mother. My experience with American House in Hendersonville was absolutely best in class. My mother has been in assisted living for over 5 years and it had become time to get her closer to family. In my search, I visited 9 different facilities. I looked for a clean place with happy and well taken care of residents. Let me say that the staff greets you with the warmest welcome you could ask for. They listen intently to make sure they get to know both the resident and the family. It’s easy to see the care that is taken in every detail to make sure the residents are provided with everything needed for a safe and active environment, with a little extra love on top. You can tell that every person who works at American House from Director to Maintenance, loves each resident like family. I’m by no means in need of assisted living yet, but when I get to that point, this would be the place for me.

It is helpful for other families to know; How fast the staff responds when the resident pushes a need. Button. Can the resident request an alternate meal. How are residents grouped for meals and other activities.

American House West Knoxville has been a wonderful experience for our loved one who needs a memory care setting. This community offers a wonderful "home' experience with the benefits of an exceptional Memory Care Director and friendly, well-trained staff. The menu and food quality are better than expected, and our loved one looks forward to meal times. This community allows our loved one to be safe and gives us much needed peace of mind!

People there are very nice. The rooms are clean. Food is good too. My mom loves it there. I can’t think of anything I would change about American House. My mom is 91 and has dementia so she is not able to take advantage of some of the activities but it’s a great place to be.

My mom's dementia accelerated quickly once my dad died. She lived with us and my brother for about 2 years. It wasn’t a sustainable model so when we made the hard decision to place her, I contacted A Place for Mom. [name removed] called me right away and after explaining what we wanted and needed she connected me to about 7 places, who all called me within the hour, and were very helpful. They listened, asked good questions, and most did great follow up with me. We found a place and mom’s been there for almost 3 months and likes it. The staff care a lot and are working hard to make sure dementia residents get the full comprehensive care they need.

5 across the board. This assisted living facility is awesome. The staff is kind and caring and takes care of issues immediately. The atmosphere is very positive.

My sister's room was always kept nice... sometimes the outdoor entryway was in need of cleaning. No knock on the staff, but, I it must be said this isn't a nursing home... And as my sister required more and more care, we needed to move her out and into a nursing home. I must say, [name removed], the social worker was outstanding along with your weekend lead and activity lady. Whenever we had a need for help, [name removed] was always available to meet our needs. She was wonderful and did about everything.

What we like the most about American House is their interest in the residents. Their courtesy and their attention to their needs. Their enthusiasm about their special events, like family night. The meals for family night are extraordinary. Yes, we would recommend the community to other families based on the experience so far

My husband was admitted to the memory care section of American House. The staff are all so caring and are never too busy to answer my questions. [name removed] is well cared for, I made the right decision when I chose this facility. I would highly recommend American House.
