American House

I've only been living here a short time. Everyone on staff here is very nice. All are trying to bring Happy Times despite the virus.

We are well taken care of.

[name removed] and I are extremely happy at American House! We love attending activities with many great friends. We love our apartment, I believe it's the perfect place for us! Perfect model, perfect location. American House has wonderful, cheerful staff. The staff is always helpful. There are three of us in our wonderful apartment. The third resident in our apartment is my service dog, Yugi. She is loved by all.

I have lived here for six years and it really feels like home. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We have opportunities to interact with other through games and entertainment. My apartment is nice and having a washer and dryer this fantastic. We are well fed and if you don't like a meal, there's something else to eat.

I have enjoyed living here. The people are very friendly. [Name removed] has helped me with my computer. [Name removed] creative and decorated beautifully and thinks of crafts that we can do. I like the exercises that [name removed] arrived. I’d like more intensive winter aerobics.

I am satisfied and have been here since May 2016.

I am extremely grateful for a few employees at American House. They give me some peace knowing my mom is in good hands. Thank you to [names removed]. You continuously go above and beyond what needs to be done. I will forever be grateful. I am so sorry, there are more, I just don't know their names. Also [name removed] is great! I miss playing bingo.

Community was great before covid-19 has felt like prison to my parents since then. Staff tries to make it better but it just isn't good anymore.

My mother living in the American House has been the best for her and me, her daughter.

I couldn't ask for a better care from the staff. Can't wait to be able to get back in the dining room and be able to socialize with everyone.

My husband and I agree that an above-average rating is given including maintenance and dining services. Our one concern is the lack of news and communication when circumstances demand it. Example: the fire alarm sounded. We joined others in the hallway not knowing what to do. When the alarm ended there was no announcement of the cause. Also during this pandemic, we were execting explanations of the future plans, etc. a suggestion box would each fear and anxiety. Thank you.

Want diabetes care, friendly atmosphere, well prepared food with variety, place where family can normally visit when Covid has passed, place where you can go out with family, activities in the care place

I have lived here since it opened in April of 2013-actually [date removed]- I would not still be here if it were not a great place to live. To have your own washer and dryer is the best party of it for me and all the other things.

Amazing crew, very good food, very comfortable! I was only here two weeks before the virus struck so I'm anxious to learn all I've missed since March!

Good place to live.

We chose American House East 1 because of the convenience to family and they had a great price advantage at the time. The room sizes here are very spacious. I would want others to know that they have a chapel inside the facility and there is a priest who lives here, so they have weekly mass. My favorite part about the community so far is that she has other people her same age to socialize with. I would recommend.

I believe this is a great place. The community is a wonderful place for your loved one. My dad was in this community and then my mom was placed into this community, without any hesitation when needed. The end of life experience we had with the community for my dad was amazing. They treated with us with love, caring, and kindness during this difficult time. There was a staff member who had a case of COVID. However, there have been no other cases with staff or residents since.

We chose American House because of the location, the cleanliness of the facility, and she has a brand new apartment that no one has ever lived in before. She is in a 2 bedroom 2 bath and it is great size for her. One thing she has noticed is the quality of the food has gone down from when we first signed up. They now have a different menu and the food is not as fresh as it was before. The best part about the community so far has been the friendliness of all of the residents, it made it an easy transition for her. I would recommend.

The overall appearance and cleanliness of this community really stood out to us in the beginning, and the food they serve is very good. The rooms on the memory care side are fine, and we would recommend this community to a family or friend.
