Elmcroft treated us well, and we checked in with the idea of a long stay. Our two daughters decorated her room so that it would be so much like at home. It was beautiful. It all changed when they could not handle my wife's behavioral problems, and they sent her to the hospital. I don't believe that they knew the extent of her behavior issues when they assessed her. I didn't even know, I don't believe there was any error on their part.

Best choice! Looking at people, location and apt. Signed an app last Thursday!

I have heard good things from my Aunt about American House! I don't get a chance to visit often, as I live out of state, but she really seems to be enjoying herself here! I've really only heard a few minor complaints. She wishes the food would come out hotter, and I guess they often are not able to assemble a big enough group to play bridge.

New resident as of June of 2014. have a very ill husband and have received phenomenal support via the community.

Everything is good, except the food. There are a lot of complaints about food right now. My mother says the food definitely has gone downhill in the month she has been there, and a lot of the residents are complaining. The vegetables are not soft enough, the meat is dry, and that can make it hard to chew. For everything else I have been extremely pleased, I have been extremely pleased from day one. It's very clean, and the staff is friendly. They are pretty attentive and responsive. The entertainment is fabulous. I got a letter that they got a new cook, and that is when things went down, but now I've heard that the new cook is gone, maybe now it will get better. At first the portions were huge, and that was the only problem. Now they will come and sit down to eat, and it will take forty five minutes before the food comes. We chose them because, my mom liked the spiritual environment they had there.

Most of the staff has good longevity and generally speak to the residents by name. There are a number of men and a weekly veterans meeting. Many of the residents have been there a number of years and most are friendly and genuinely concerned about each other. Right now the weakest link may be food service. They are aware of this and I am told are attempting to correct it.

Overall they are doing a pretty good job. There have been some minimal minor complaints about the food. I would like to see them give the tenants a little more of a voice with changes and renovations. I really liked the location, that was probably the biggest deciding factor for me.

Rooms were too small for my husbands wheelchair.

I liked the way the staff interacted more with the residents, and the employees all wore smiles. The natural light and the courtyard make the place look bright and welcoming. I liked that everything was clean and that even the smallest studio was cute. I thought the activities were definitely geared toward an older crowd. "Cokes & Jokes", watching "The Andy Griffith Show." There isn't a book club, and that was high on our list, some more intellectually stimulating activities. There was also not an activity room or gym. I just didn't feel it was a good fit for my loved ones personality.

The hallways seemed narrow. I was impressed by the staff and residents who were all very friendly. I just don't see it as a place for mom.

Very nice facility. Once prices added on for assistance, made it unaffordable for my mom.

The community could have been cleaner. The staff and the activities were the best features. The staff was really okay. It was a pretty average value for the money. The care services were also pretty average.

Was a good fit would consider . Pepe would have therun of the home . Which would make mom happy

We just had a short respite stay. The food was good, she liked food. They had pods, and the food was prepared in the pod and so it was fresh. They were very kind and helpful. They did a good job getting back to us. They only would admit on Tuesdays, and we had to wait for their day to do the admit. Overall it was very nice and very clean, and I liked that it wasn't one big building it was smaller buildings, so it was more homey feeling. The staff was more familiar with the residents that way.

So far things have gone very well with Park Place. It's a very nice looking community, and they keep everything looking clean and well kept. It's got a nice feel to it, not institutional like some senior communities we toured. The services and care they provide all looked nice, and the food always look decent.

The rooms here were really nice, and it was clean and well maintained. This just wasn't a good fit for our needs in the end. The attendant care could be improved. I think it was a little of both training and staffing, some better training and a few more staff would have been nice.

Most of the staff, especially those who deal directly with the residents, are friendly and appear to enjoy their jobs and the residents. I like the physical environment as well as the variety and number of common or community rooms. The food is good. I think it takes too long to serve residents at meals and would like to see more staff involved in that process so residents did not sit so long waiting A separate kitchen staff would be ideal for this process, rather than using the universal staffing method employed. For the most part, I think the services, the activities, and the staff are great! It is overall a pleasant and caring environment.

In general everything has been very good and helpful. I think the systems are such that may cause an over-reaction. They have certain protocols that call for going to the hospital even when unnecessary. We chose them because they had a generally, less clinical environment. It's also smaller and easier to navigate than some of the ones we saw.
