This was a good community but there was another community that I just felt was a step above and what I really wanted for my loved one.

We like the smaller scale of the community, and its in a good proximity of our family

The care could have been better. The communication with the community broke down somewhere along the line with the family and staff during my loved one's stay. I believe my loved one should have been in memory care and evaluated more. The activities could be improved for the residents. Overall, this felt like the right choice for my loved one.

Just looking at this time. We are not ready at this time. Community is very nice.

This is a good place. Sometimes feels like my loved ones in memory care could use more attention from staff to assist with finding lost items, dressing, and more. Some of the activities include therapeutic art, planet earth exploration, aroma therapy, music, hot coca bar, wine down Wednesday, and more for the residents to participate in.

No Medicare waiver; however, it had a homey feel to the community.

We had a good tour experience with American House Freedom Place. The only issue was the location was a little challenging, we were looking for something in a residential area and this did not meet that criteria.

We chose American House Cottage because of the convenient proximity to our home and also I felt that they had a strong staff. We also like that it is in a residential area so we can go out and walk. At this location, the staff have a very caring attitude towards all residents and they are constantly trying to innovate new ideas and activities for all levels of care. I would recommend them to others who are looking

[Name removed] is a very good director, she takes care of every problem. She explains everything so you will understand it.

1. None perfect but feel doing well. 2. We are gaining weight-too much food-we never have had. 3. Big meals but realize need to not eat all but hard not to do so. Why no exercise room? This would help the new weight. Yes could walk the halls but not really into doing. 4. Cleaning is not up to our standards. [Names removed] both have allergies-need improvement here. Thanks for all you do-really happy here.

Office people and assistant director are very good.

My parents enjoy it there. They like that American House takes care of things for them like the meals They like the food overall but wish there was more variety. And they wish they could do just two meals a day instead of three. They say everyone is very nice and caring. As far as activities, there was a time when they didn't have an activities director (although they have hired one at this point), and it's been tricky with Covid. Even so, they could have a little more going on, especially outings. And rent just went up for January, which was disappointing.

They're friendly enough, and it's a pretty good place. I think my loved one's apartment is really nice. The food isn't the best in the world, but it's not bad.

This place well run. Everyone is pleasant and helpful.

We were not very impressed by our tour, it was not suitable.

My wife and I were one of the early tenants at AH. I think we were the fourth family to sign up. Before we moved in I was very worried of my wife's health. Since moving in, my wife is a new woman. She takes our dog for a walk every morning, she does not have to do any cooking witch was a dread before and has weekly maid service. We get professional work out training and most of all, all the tenants are very friendly and helpful. The one reason I did not give AH five stars is the food which management is constantly working to improve & the food service. These are two problems that is not their fault due to the covid situation. As for the value for cost, I think AH could be more flexible with their meal plans. I personally do not like getting up so early for breakfast. They could allow Lunch instead.
