American House

American House Kentwood is a very nice. The community we choose was just above and beyond both communities we looked at. American house was my second choice, a little bit smaller community and my loved one wanted something bigger.

The lower score in quality of care relates to lack of qualified staff covering all hours (weekends and nights primarily), turnover in staff, and procedures and processes for over watch. Call time response to individual patient calls are beyond 15 minutes, especially in the weekend and overnight times.

The nurses and staff are friendly and caring. The facility is clean and welcoming. My dad loves the music. They could do more for mens activities.

We chose American House Village because of the location, she lived close by and so she is still close to her friends and is familiar with the area. She also knew someone who lived at American House and so she had been previously been introduced to it. It is very clean and friendly facility. She has a 2 bedroom apartment and it is a great size. They have clubs offered for the residents and they seem to enjoy that (ex. a gardening club). The biggest thing that sticks out to me is just how over the top friendly everybody is. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking - after she moved here she said she wishes she would have moved here 5 years sooner.

I don't know if I'd go out of my way to tell a friend, but would answer if asked. The food is terrible. But the staff are kind and helpful. They need a wide variety of activities.

This facility is very nice! When I visit, everyone is always friendly. Communication with the family has been absolutely wonderful. My loved one struggles with being able to verbally communicate. The staff understands that and is wonderful about working with her and being patient with her. They've been so great about it. Activities were very good, but the director is on maternity leave right now so there isn't as much variety. Overall, we're very happy with this facility. I would recommend them to friends and family.

We thought American House Spring Lake was very nice. It was just too far away for our family to visit regularly.

This facility is very good. I like that it feels very calming here. One feels relaxed. Everyone is very friendly. The quality of care is great. Communication with the family is awesome. They're proactive about reaching out and keeping us updated. Because of that I feel even more confident that mom is getting great care. The food is good. Her previous facility's pricing was a la cart and went up significantly over a few months time. This facility is all inclusive pricing. They worked with us in the beginning and had different rooms with different prices to help fit the budget. That was very helpful. I would recommend them to family and friends.

American House is a perfect fit for my mother. She is an active 88 year old but has dementia. They take good care of her and make sure she has whatever she needs. When I go visit, which I do often, she is engaged with the staff or the other residents. [name removed[], has them doing something fun multiple times a days. Sometimes my mom will participate and other times she is fine just relaxing in her room. I am very happy with our choice in American House.

The care is wonderful and the nursing team is amazing! My concerns is with the sales team, as I feel it was a hard sale and this wasn't my style. However, I understand this is the nature of the business with these type of communities. The move-in process was a good experience for us.

I toured this community and it was nice. The quality of the apartment didn't seem as good as some of the other places I toured. The apartment they had available was too far from the common areas and would have been hard for my loved one to get there. Other than that, it was good.

Anthology at Burlington Creek is very impressive and the staff is as well. A homey atmosphere, individualized care, and caring staff are exactly what I want for my loved one.

I toured American House Murfreesboro; the lady came in on a Saturday to show me around, which I appreciated. I liked that the facility was locked all the time, but on the flipside, I'd have to do more work to get in. It was smaller and it seemed dark. I don't know if that's just me or maybe because it was a Saturday and not everything was going on. I couldn't see what went on, on a day to day basis. This was my very first tour, so it didn't seem important until I toured other communities during the week. We chose another community because American House was a lot more expensive, and the rooms were smaller.

This community was fine. I felt my loved one wouldn't have gotten the attention my loved one needed.

We had a nice tour experience with American House Fort Meyers. The draw back for us was just the size, it was way too large for my loved one. The staff were great with following up with us after the tour we had.

Overall, it was a very good experience! It gives off a, homey feeling not like a cruise ship vibe others offered. It was reasonably priced.

The lady who gave our family was the tour was great - she was so involved and knew all of the residents name. All of the employees we encountered during our loved ones stay were super friendly and based on our experience we would recommend them to other families.

We overall had a very positive tour experience with American House Kingsport, we narrowed it down to this facility and another. I was very intrigued with their activities they had provided - they looked great. The set up of the rooms was nice. They were a little pushy even though we were not sure when my loved one would be able to move in and we did not like that approach, but otherwise it was a great tour experience.

My loved one, is not happy with the food, and complains that is is sometimes bland and cold. Overall, my loved one is still adjusting to the community. We picked this facility, becasue it is an exclusive community, and it gave my loved one the opportunity to connect with old friends.

Anthology at Burlington is a newer community that has all the bells and whistles. The gal that we worked with during the initial move in [name removed] was wonderful. Everyone has been pretty friendly, the care givers have bee great and understanding. Overall the meals seem to be good we do not hear really any complaints from our loved one. They also have a ton of different activities they do a really good job with that.
