American House

I'm happy, glad my daughter brought me here. All the staff in the community are very special.

Park Place community is fresh, big and not outdated. It is costly when it comes to the value for we have been happy so far. We have been able to eat some meals there with our loved one and they are really good. They do have happy hours on Friday's that our loved one enjoys and the different amenities they offer are a nice dining room, library, barber shop and a café. We had to hire their outside care service team to help with our loved ones medication and we did have a couple issues with their overall consistency.

The American House community is very nice and very clean and everything has been going good with the staff. We do know our friend is liking everything. The meals are included with the monthly rent and she enjoys them. They are also doing more and more activities each day.

So far they have acted quickly to any concerns that we have, not many concerns. They are doing improvements to the facility.

This is a welcoming place with nice people in the community and they are currently going through a transition to a new owner. They have activities like outings and they are starting to get out in the community more and then they have other basic activities for the residents to keep them busy and active in the community.

I would recommend this community. It is super nice and it is one story which worked great for my parents. We like it here at this community. They have activities like a singer, bingo and more for the residents to do to stay busy in the community. My parents do not participate much but there is always something every day for the residents to do to stay busy.

My mothers first experience with assisted living at age 97. Had a bit of a shaky start, however, the staff have been caring and helpful and she is enjoying her life at American House. I have been navigating most of this process from out of state and the staff have excellent in their communication keeping me apprised of any issues with her or changes at the faculty. Particularly with the looming threat of COIVD they have gone to great lengths to keep their residents healthy. Much appreciated

I did have to get on them about getting some things done such as giving my loved one showers and since then things have been resolved. They were short handed which was affecting some things, but the people that are there on a daily basis are great. They do do outings with the memory care residents once a week and we like that. Memory care is a flat rate no matter how much care they may need. I would tell others that this goes for any facility, you just have to stay on top of things and visit your loved ones. Overall we have been pleased with Anthology of Rochester Hills.

The care staff was very limited during the entire stay of my loved one. We paid for better service than we received. The communication with the manager was limited as well. The elevator was out during my loved one's stay and this prevented the residents from getting out to socialize with other residents. The food was delivered by the staff; however, it arrived cold. They did have activities for the residents on the first floor.

American House is a very friendly place. If you are not in memory care, there is a lot of options for the residents. However, in memory care they don't offer much. The staff are excellent to work with, if we have questions or concerns about our loved one. My loved one doesn't care for the food. There are hardly any desserts for the residents, and the taste of the food could be improved. The community is able to assist with medication management for my loved one. There is laundry, housekeeping, the room, medication management, three meals a day, and activities are included in the monthly fee. Music activities is what has been offered for activities. It would be nice to see other options such as card games, memory games, arts and crafts, or more for the residents to participate in.

this community tries very hard to meet everyone's needs. it is clean, attractive, and comfortable. the food is good and activities are ample and every once in a while we have entertainment.

We were promised to be seen by the physician and to have an appointment set up with their podiatrist and neither has happened in the several months our loved one has been there. That to us is very disappointing. We have had miscommunication and mishaps with our loved ones medication and to us that is a big negative and can be detrimental to our loved ones health which is extremely important to us. That needs improvement. They also could improve on their overall communication. Being the primary caregiver, this community we think would benefit from having a newsletter sent out or monthly meetings to bring the families together and to keep them updated with the constant changes going on in todays world. Besides the communication this is a 5 star community.

My loved one is enjoying it. He's not particularly active, but he goes to the meals and seems to like the food. He's doing well there, and physically he's doing better. They're in the process of renovations now, but it seems clean enough. I would like to see their furniture be more senior-friendly. Some of the pieces of furniture are harder for older people to get in an out of.

I didn’t really like American House Bonita Springs very much. And I can't really put my finger on why exactly - I just got kind of a hinky feeling about it. It did have some pluses to it. I thought they had a good set-up for somebody with dementia. The facility was arranged in little pods, so the residents didn’t have to wander to get to places, but they could still walk and wander around if they wanted to. Everybody seemed nice. But it was more expensive compared to others we looked at.

We find the community to be very beautiful and super clean. The staff members are wonderful and the care services are good. Sometimes we see our loved one needs more skilled nursing and for the staff not having the skilled nursing they do an amazing job. We aren't to sure about the meals and dining, we have not had them ourselves but when we come to visit our loved one eats it all. The value for the money is fantastic, it is more then enough for what we are getting.

The community is very personal for my loved one. They have made sure that my loved one has settled into the community. The staff are good at getting my loved one to physical therapy. They are caring and address the residents by their first name. I feel my loved one is safe here. I would highly recommend the community to others.

they try and do a good job here at Beach House. however, every individual resident won't get enough attention with the amount of staff they have. if you want someone to be around and show close attention to your loved one all the time; you'd have to bring in additional help, like a health care aide.

We were very impressed with what we saw during our tour experience at American House West Knoxville. It was just not a good fit for my loved one, he had a lot of special needs that could not be accommodated.

I toured American House and although they were under renovation, it was a nice tour experience. we chose another community because of its location.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. They have a variety of different sizes of rooms, the cleanliness, and staff stand out to me. The staff are very helpful if I have questions or concerns about my loved one. Overall my loved one has been satisfied with the food. The community has activities available for the residents to partake in if they choose to.
