American House

I would recommend them. They are a Medicaid approved facility so if a resident outlived their money & was Medicaid eligible the resident would not have to move.I feel there's always a little room for improvement. So far I'm quite satisfied.

The facility is older than others that we visited, and there are fewer units. The staff are always friendly and willing to help or answer questions. The food is good, but there aren't many choices (meals are set in advance and there are often only 2 choices of meal for dinner and one for lunch or breakfast.) Care (medication management, etc.) are a little scattered, at least in the beginning, but that is to be expected. Hopefully they will get more consistent.

I would tell anyone that wanted a place for parent that staff is pleasant, food is good and they offer some good activities for seniors.

I would say that my dad is having a positive experience at American House. He's been very clean. The staff is wonderful. He seems to be very well taken care of. He loves the food. There are a lot of activities.

My loved one was a resident at American House Westland Hunter Senior Living and most everything was very good! Overall, I would recommend this facility to others.

The staff was helpful. [name removed] did a great job talking with my mom when she was first getting used to the idea of moving out of her home. We are still in the adjustment phases but everyone we meet has been helpful and pleasant. The other residents have been great as well.

The move in was easy and the community was very helpful. The directors are friendly and helpful. Staff is friendly and helpful as well, but there are obvious staffing issues. All in all, I would recommend this community to others.

Overall, it was such a friendly place and the staff truly LOVED my mom. One issue was that residents were not able to lock their doors. Other residents would come in at all hours of the day and night as they were walking the halls. She had a privacy lock, but they knew how to use their fingernail to turn it and get in. if it wasn't for that aspect, the entire experience was wonderful.We picked Anthology over other places because it had the most amenities (drs come to the property, etc), and seemed more upscale/people at same level of dementia.

Due to the disease I have this is my 6th Assisted Living Community and I am very happy with my choice to become a resident at American House. I am extremely happy with the accommodations made by American House.

Nice and clean and friendly place . Price was in range but raised it $120 starting January not thrilled. I picked this community because it's a half hour from my home.

I would recommend for people to consider American House for their loved ones or themselves. I was helping my uncle find a place to reside and was impressed with virtual tour, representative and cleanliness of the residence versus other establishments I reviewed.

My mother-in-law has lived here for almost a year. She really enjoys all the activities and being with so many other people her age. I need to really give a special mention to the life enrichment director, [name removed]. She is the most caring person and goes the extra mile. She is always asking for input from the residents and follows through with their requests. Plus, she is a ton of fun! The kitchen staff is also kind and cares for each resident as individuals. And the noon meals are delicious.

The staff members at American House are helpful and friendly. It is a clean and well run community. Our loved one seems to like the meals. The activities have been good so far. Just wish Mom would participate more.

My loved one is currently a resident at American House Coconut Point and everything has been very good for her at this facility so far. The friendliness, care services and staff are great! The cleanliness, meals, activities and value for cost are very good. We are happy with my loved one's care at American House Coconut Point and would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I would say that overall this community is a good place with patients that have early to middle stages of Alzheimer's, from what I've seen with patients who are capable of walking or moving with wheelchair. Staff are attentive, respectful, and always busy taking care of patients. I would recommend to others.

The Palms is a lovely and efficient residence.

The staff, care services and activities are good. The meals are okay. Overall, my loved one is exceptionally happy with American House Keene. I would highly recommend American House Keene to others.

What our family likes the most about the American House Southland Senior Living is the overall friendliness of the staff members. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.
