They were very reassuring when I approached them. I thought there was no place that could care for my mother but were given options other than their facility. This caring attitude from everyone there made the decision easy to place my mother in their care.

They don't provide a lot of care, they take them to the doctors or shopping, but as far as the care goes, this part of Providence doesn't have much. The part that is built right now is a retirement community, and they will be constructing an assisted living and memory care unit sometime towards the end of next year. In independent living, they provide two meals a day, and each apartment has their own kitchen and laundry. People to come do hair and such, and they have a visiting doctor, but no one that oversees meds. For the money and what you get, Providence is the best thing. In fact, several residents from the other facilities we looked at ended up moving to Providence.

Thr staff is very caring and attentive.

My mom is just not willing or ready or whatever to go into an assisted living. She gave it a few days and just was not comfortable. She felt lonelier there than she does at home even though she lives by herself. She's not a very sociable person and it was just a little overwhelming for her to be put in that environment. The food was great and the people were really attentive. My mom is just not ready.

They're really good but they're not perfect. They were really conscientious about cleanliness and really friendly. It's more expensive than the last place my wife was in but I think it's worth the extra money. The care is great. I used to go 3 times a week but I started going only 2 times a week because they said that might be better. When I get there sometimes they've gone on a bus ride or have done some activity but I don't know how often they actually do that. I am of the opinion that there should be a lot of opportunity for activities. There are 20 residents there and 4 aids that check on them every half hour or so to make sure everything is okay. The house coordinator is very involved with the care. I'm very happy with them.

Elmcroft is a great community with great staff. It is all one level so it provides ease of moving around and navigating. The staff I interviewed and talked with was really good. They have a large dining room for the residents to eat. The room itself is about 100 sqft larger then other communities we were looking at. They were offering about 350-360 sqft while Elmcroft is offering 450 sqft. I am very satisfied with them at this point and would recommend them to anyone.

We chose this community because it is located close to family and makes it convenient to visit. The cost of Broadmore is good and competitive for what they offer. Seems like a good amount of their activities are religion based which could be a little different. But overall we are happy with Broadmore Senior Living.

Every time we visit Elmcroft of Shallowford everything is clean and neat. It doesn't have a smell like some of the other places we toured. We are relatively new to Elmcroft but we are happy with them so far.

Our mother has lived in assisted-living at Elmcroft for over two years. The facility is beautiful and very clean. The staff is well-trained and helpful. Mom reports the food is wonderful. Many daily activities are provided. Residents there seem happy and satisfied with the home. The staff is considerate and cordial.

The one bedroom apartment is a very nice size. Specifically, the bathroom is really well thought out and the shower is a walk-in shower which is helpful for people with limited mobility. The staff is kind and helpful and care is thorough and available at any time. Some of the activities are a bit repetitive but seem well attended by the clients.

Had a few issues no power due to the down power lines but the staff handled it well. House keeping is good food for the most part is good. Size is an adjustment but it is all I need.

It is a great apartment size, most of the staff is great, facility is well laid out, LOTS of activities = great for socializing. 3 meals are automatically included in rent, no separate meal plan is an option, which was a disappointment for someone who doesn't utilize the 3 meals provided. SOME of the Medical Team on site are wonderful. A couple of their people need to improve, and there is room for improvement with the Medical Team on site, but it is very helpful. They offer 4 levels of Assistance packages, as well as a la carte Assistance services. Designed so residents can age in place. Overall, very good facility. Compared with others we looked at, it would be a 5 instead of a 4, but does have room to improve. Glad Mom is there instead of somewhere else

To provide feedback on American homes, it's difficult because of my mother's age of 102 and her ability to be involved and enjoying the food. She only eats breakfast and lunch, so they're probably going to rate about 4, her apartment is kept neat and clean by the staff. I would rate the staff in general at a 4+. I can't really evaluate the activities because she is limited to a wheelchair. She also is given services by hospice, and I would rate hospice 2 stars..

Staff is fine. Very friendly and helpful. I do my own meds. Food is ok; I'm diabetic so I have to watch my intake and amounts. Place is clean for the most part. I sometimes have minor issues with getting my laundry done on time. Room size is fine. It's just me. I'm in a wheelchair so I need grab bars in the bathroom and shower which there are. A bit pricey; I don't have insurance.

Staff is wonderful and caring. Friendly and loving staff along with a smaller population of residents. A Place for Mom was wonderful to me and very helpful.

Admin staff and activity directors have been amazing. It is very clean and apartment size is very roomie and spacious!

Semi private apartment is a bit small for 2 people to share but economical for the area. Not sure how to suggest how to improve activities as there is not a lot of participation or not a large census. Food is average. I really like all staff.

The staff is great and they have treated my mother well. They have also been kind to my father when he visits. He has told me numerous times we made the right choice. This place has exceeded my expectations.

Food is very good as is kitchen staff. Care is good, depending somewhat on who you get. The staff answer phone calls, and answer the call button promptly. The building itself is beautiful inside & out. But individual room cleanliness could be a little better; you may have to point out something that needs attention, but staff is responsive when you do. No problems with billing and staff; AH does not appear to have the staff turnover some other places have.

Staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions in great detail. Very nice facility and we are still try to figure out the best situation for my parents.
