Initial transition into the residence was not a smooth and coordinated as I would have expected. However, the property, staff and food are good. There were some challenges coordinating and understanding who to discuss concerns related to care, medications, etc; so I would end up contacting multiple staff with my questions. I have since received additional guidance around who is responsible for handling patient care, administration of medication, housekeeping, etc so I feel better about my decision to move my family member here. There are several activities scheduled every day; great tasting, healthy meals and friendly staff. I wish there were more nurses on duty though especially on weekends and evenings. Overall, the facility and property are clean and properly maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful and really seem to care about their residents and their families. I have peace of mind knowing that my parent is safe, eating the right things and taking medication as described. I love the diversity of the community and the staff as it is a great reflection of the neighborhood where we live.

Elan is a great place for my mom. [Name removed] at a Place for Mom went out of her way to help me find this wonderful apartment style living for my mom. [Name removed] at Elan made my mom feel right at home. As any place, Elan has room for improvement, especially in the food services, but overall this was a very good decision for our family.

It is still a work in progress for my mother with her move to this community. We did a rough start at first. The lady that was in charge of the aids, and the medication management was on vacation. Since she has returned everything is working out well now. They have a good staff, and they have been helpful when needed. Also kind when I come to visit. The community is well-kept, they do a good job with the cleanliness. They offer good activities and provide nice meals. The verdict is still out on if I would recommend this community, but everything is moving in the right direction now.

I have to say after the few tours that we went on this property impressed me the most. The appearance of the community is fresh looking and very upbeat. The staff and the residents seem happy to be there and want to interact with you. My mom is still adjusting but she overall seems to be doing very well there and likes it. She has gone to a few social hours and is slowly making new friends. She has not complained about the food so I am taking she enjoys it. Since mom has been there I have already recommended it to a few people.

Newer metropolitan complex surrounded by asphalt. Well-maintained but rather dark decor. Considered premier accomodations. Check the packages for graduated care.

My dad is doing well since moving in. I think The Hampton at Meadows Place could use more activities in the memory care unit. There is only one food option for the residents. They also need more fruits and vegetables on the menu. The community is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this community but I would say do your homework first.

Parents have been in there for 2-3 years now , its hard to get hold of them the internet phone is always down due to the terrible internet as well as tv, its clean ,good employees. Have some disconnect with the laundry , not a hands of place must go in and take care of things once a week or so. But could get probably with a higher care option.

It was good, but it was not the level of care that we needed. We didn't know enough about what was needed, and I don't know if maybe the assessment wasn't very thorough. They had only a few caregivers for a lot of people. I think the patients are expected to be more independent. It was clean but the room wasn't as well kept as I would have hoped. This seems to be more for an independent person. I never really knew how much we were going to pay for place, when I would ask they would give me the base rate, which is vastly different based on care level, that was frustrating.

They're doing a good job here, overall. They're providing the care my loved one needs, and although she isn't always happy with what they provide here I feel like they're doing the best that they can. It's a nice looking community, they keep it clean, and the staff are friendly.

I was only there for a little bit, but nothing really stood out. The main reason that we didn't choose it was because the memory care was on the third floor and my dad would have had a harder time going outside unless he was chaperoned (which he wouldn't like.) I was also not as homey.

We have had a bit of a rocky start. Staff has been forgetting to take mom to the dining room for meals or returning her to her apartment after the meals. Communication has been poor. I was not given names and phone numbers for key personnel. After almost 3 weeks we were finally introduced to the care manager. Also we were told that A Place for Mom does not collect a fee from us, however, Elan offers no administrative fee for veterans or spouses of veterans. When I inquired, I was told they would not honor that as they had to pay A Place for Mom. So in actuality, I feel that using your service cost us $[removed].

My review would be that it was a good ALF for independent livers that will seek socialization in their own. Not great for more isolated individuals or those that might need to transition between independent and assisted living.

The apartments at Fox Ridge are not wheelchair friendly AT ALL. Difficult access to both upper and lower cabinets and closet space, and doorways, while possible, are tight. If you are limited to a wheelchair it is also difficult to change rooms if a bigger one becomes available with a "zero-step-in shower... unless YOU want to pay for installing / renovation... have to pay them to improve their property... I would also recommend a interior camera that records.

Mom has been in the facility for six months and they have yet to vacuum and clean the place . I have reached out numerous times to the director, wellness director, and housekeeping manager and still they haven’t cleaned. They have missed doing her laundry numerous times and even tried to enter her apartment at 1:00 am to gather her laundry. She thought they were breaking in and was very frightened. On the plus side, her caregivers have been very kind and helpful and nursing has been very responsive. Nursing 5 stars, housekeeping 1 star. And she can have her dog which gives her a great deal of comfort.

I felt like they did not watch my mom as well as they should have. I paid extra for urinary incontinence, but they obviously weren't paying attention because when she ended up in the hospital right before she died, her bladder was about to rupture if you were changing diapers and things you would notice that she was not urinating. Then, when my mom passed away, she was taking to the hospital the second day of September, and then she was put in hospice and they would not refund my money. They said that I took her out of there on my own, so therefore they would not refund my money for the month of September, they said I didn't give 30 day notice

It would have been fine for someone that doesn't have behavior concerns. My husband was combative so it wasn't a good fit for us. The activities were pretty much the same everyday. Exercise videos for hours in the morning. All the residents just sat there and stared at the TV. There were a few other things thrown in but not much. I know there was a big turnover after we left so it may be different now.

[name removed] was an exception, she was not happy there. She would not take part in the activities, was not cooperative with the staff etc. Some of the other patients there seemed to be content. Overall it's a very nice place and we would recommend them to other families.

After a thorough search for a memory care after a hard experience at another assisted living, we settled on Serenades. One of our most important criteria was staff longevity and continuity of care. We asked specifically about this, asking how long the administration had been there, how committed they were to staying, how many years the average care employee stayed, and if the facility keeps the same staff with the same residents as often as possible. We met with the administrator and the sales person. Both of them gave very encouraging answers. Sadly, once we moved in, we found the opposite to be true. We found out after we moved in that the sales person had already informed the company she was leaving. Within a month of move in, the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and sales director quit or transferred to another location. We have had a revolving door of staff and a very high turnover rate for caregivers. The caregivers are kind, but we hoped for more longevity.

My dad was moved into Memory Care. They had a TV blaring at a high volume constantly. There was not a quiet place for him to go except his room. Also on the weekends the staffing is questionable. My dad got very sick & they called me. He had fallen out of his bed & he needed to go to the hospital. They had called the paramedics but they said he wasn't injured. He was actually very sick with the flu but they didn't catch that. He was extremely dehydrated & I called an ambulance once there which was totally necessary. He looked terrible. I actually thought he was dead when I went to his room. He was sitting in a chair by himself with his eyes closed. The Assisted Living side is better. I would give them a 4. Both my parents have passed away so these are not good memories. There were a lot of very nice people working there. Not a bad place. Memory Care is challenging anywhere.
