Park Place community is always clean, and prior to the virus they did a great job when it came to the activities. This community is very attractive and it met all the needs that we were looking for. Our loved one seems to be satisfied with the food.

The staff is helpful, courteous, and friendly. Their attitude is always upbeat and helpful. The concierges are wonderful, pleasant, professional, and helpful. They do the utmost to make the residents happy. The food is of decent quality. The staff in the restaurant is wonderful, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. The female director and her staff of directors manage the property very well and are very caring and professional. Maintenance keeps the property in excellent condition, and housekeeping does, as well. The residents are from various places and appear to be knowledgeable and friendly, but, nevertheless, that is not true. They are, typically, boring. They vary in age and come with different interests, of course, which makes it difficult at times to not sit at dinner and laugh. The pool is beautiful. The activities are wonderful and allow for different choices. Overall, I am very happy in the facility and I find my day filled with different things to do.

We haven't been in the facility since COVID, but it is a great place the staff is friendly as well as very attentive. It is very clean, the food seems very good. The head of the nursing staff is amazing, she is constantly following up on things and keeping us updated. It is a little on the pricey side, you get what you pay for. My parents really like participating in the activities they provide. The memory care side, have a variety of different activities such as. If it is national ice cream day, they would make ice cream. If it is national cookie day, they would make cookies. Since COVID the activities director makes sure to spend one on one time with each and ever residents.

From our standpoint, I think the most important thing is that they were able to offer diabetes management. We chose this community because of this reason and that he would be able to live in an assisted living because he wasn't ready for a nursing home yet. The caregivers are great. The food is good and they are able to offer a diabetic diet to him. The staff have been great in accommodating, managing, and persuading him to make better choices according to his dietary restrictions. I would recommend this community to other families.

The staff is very friendly. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been sending us newsletters regularly about what they are doing and planning for the residents and their safety. The price at Sonata At Coconut Creek is a bit high. It is a pretty nice place and I have no complaints.

My mom moved there because she could not live alone any longer. The residents were at Merrill Gardens were friendly and kind. The food could have been better. They really tried. The room sizes and outdoor space were good.

I was there when they were doing a sing along which was so much fun to watch. Lots of people were sitting outside in front of the building underneath the veranda. The place smells very clean. On the 2nd floor there are enclosed balconies. Downstairs has a courtyard with putt-putt golf. There are reading rooms, wii bowling, pool (game only), a rehab-type gym, salon, art room, reading area, planting of veggies is encouraged, menu changes are every 6 weeks. Memory care is on the 2nd floor and you need to have someone with you with a code for the elevator that is scanned to get to the 1st floor. What is to keep anybody in assisted living just walk out the front door and into the busy street? The people there smiled a lot, there is a very busy activity calendar, many exits are all clearly marked, nurses stations are there and medication technicians handle the meds. A physician visits once a week, but not each person is seen by the doctor. That is more like once every 3 weeks. I don't believe there is any wait list. This place is one year old and I believe 75% occupied. How is billing the long term care company handled? Incontinence? Showering?

Nice building. Has unsupervised Swimming pool, which could be a nice benefit. Rooms clean and staff is very nice.

Sonata has a beautiful memory center. It’s in two separate buildings one for mild to moderate and the other moderate to severe. It’s nice because it’s in its own building and not set inside a building. Meaning it doesn’t feel like a prison ward. The bedrooms are nice size, very modern, clean and very nice.

First of all thank you for sending all the pics of my beautiful sister. Secondly, she is so happy there. She loves her caretakers. She’s made a few close friends and is friendly with everyone. I’m glad that I made the choice of Poets Walk for my sister. [Name removed]

The Pavilion at Great Hills in Austin, TX is a very clean, pleasant facility with friendly workers and a fairly responsive senior staff. Some of the problems my family has had with the facility can partly be attributed to my mother's dementia and her inability to keep track of any items or remember what is scheduled, etc. So, we have had just one major issue in the three months she has lived there. We had a problem with her medication administration when the medication aide placed her medicine in her apartment for her to take on her own instead of staying and watching her take the medicine, for which we were paying an additional $450.00 per month. We never could find out how long this had been occurring - over one week for sure and maybe almost two weeks - and only discovered this when my sister and I started finding little medication cups with pills in them squirreled away in my mother's dresser drawers and under couch cushions. It took two emails and a personal visit from my sister to the Executive Director to resolve this; find out what was going on, what they were doing about it and have our $450.00 refunded. We were finally informed that the medication aide had been dismissed. Luckily my mother has no life-threatening illness, although she is taking psychotropic medication which should not be missed. I don't know if other residents were having the same issues. My sister and I have realized that we have to lower our expectations, because in such a large facility with so many staff and residents it seems impossible for everything to work well all of the time. We do not have the will, heart or stamina to move my mother again, so are just hoping this was an aberration and all will go smoothly in the future.

This facility was very nice and the 1 bedroom was quite roomy. The staff was friendly. We did not see the Memory care section so a 2nd visit is needed. This facility is on our short list.

liked sonata but again rooms to small for two people. maybe something we have to live with.

Just moved my mom there 3 months ago. She likes it a lot. I was hoping there were more intellectual activities. A bit difficult to understand the doctor communication. I will figure it out.

Lovely facility and staff. [Name removed] is wonderful and all the people there have been so helpful and friendly... We are impressed with all the programs they offer and the rooms and courtyards too.The food and dining area are very good with lots of selection and high quality nutrition. It is a place we are considering for my Dad. We are now looking at their Memory Care too.

Much improved over the last year. The new chef has prepared a variety of delicious meals. Still having some communication problems among the staff, but seem to be getting better once management addresses the issues presented by family of resident.

This the best place for my wife with behavioral issues. The caregivers are very nice,always calling her by her name and two caregivers help her with bathing and dressing, The care givers are trained very well.

REVISION Elan Westpointe, New Braunfels, TX. This is the 2nd time I have reviewed Elan. After speaking with the Director, I believe they are now making strides to improve on the issues that concerned me in the previous review. I also believe they are still working on improvements in other areas. I believe the director, [Name removed] is the right person for this community. Thank you [Name removed]!

I went on a tour here and the staff was really nice and helpful. They answered all of my questions. It was nice and clean. It had a nice courtyard area. The residents were up and active. This was my second choice, It is important to me that there is a front desk person and they didn't have one here.
