My mom was reluctant to enter an assisted living facility, but once we had toured Sonata Viera, she was so pleased. The person the initial arrangements, [Removed], was extremely friendly and patient. All of the staff was welcoming and the residents appeared cared for and well groomed. The facility is lovely, clean and cheerful. I feel so relieved that my mom is happy and in a safe environment

This place is wonderful I have very little complaints. My mother has dementia and the staff is very compassionate and goes above and beyond to make her feel valued and cared for. [Removed] the director is wonderful anytime I have an issue and I call and leave a message he calls back right away. Given the fact she is still having issues with adjusting to being there and doesn't understand where she is they keep her busy during the day with activities which she really enjoys. They have a website where they post pictures of the residents participating in the activities and all the pictures I've seen so far has my mom smiling and enjoying herself. There has been one issue of residents wandering into the rooms at night and from what I have been told all the doors to the rooms should be locked so I would like to see that corrected and the follow their practice that is in place.

I could not be more pleased in the care and love this place has for my father in law

I really liked Poet's Walk when I toured. We had already left a deposit with them. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean, but we had found another community that fit my father's needs a little better.

I was very impressed with how many retired military veterans lived in this community and how much they recognized them. The entire complex was in excellent condition and out of all the different facilities I looked at this one was probably the nicest. They also offered a ten percent discount for military and there families that want to come live here. I just had a great overall experience at would defiantly recommend this place.

My mom has been here a few months now and we have nothing but praise for Serenades. The staff is almost universally wonderful and they all provide great care for my mom. We choose Serenades because we have two friends who have a family member there and they gave Serenades high marks. We give it the same!

First impression was great, I knew that I liked the people and facility in the first visit. I checked out other facilities just to compare and I came back to Thrive.

A place for mom was a great help, I wasn't sure were or even how to look for a place for my mom and dad. I looked a several places and in the long run felt that this was the best fit. It met all our needs. Clean, great staff, all the service they needed.

My Mother was a resident of Serenades by Sonata in Longwood for 2.5 years. We cannot say enough about the quality of the care and the beautiful environment. The caregivers were loving and attentive. She had the same caregivers the entire time she lived there which speaks volumes, especially in an industry fraught with turnover. Not only was the staff there for my mother, they were there for my sisters and me. The facilities are beautiful and extremely well maintained. The daily activities are level appropriate and engaging. We were very lucky to have found Serenades and grateful that it was there for Mom (and us) when we needed it most.

They are very, very expensive. Some of the staff provide really good care and some of them not so much. It is a very clean community. The people in charge are very helpful and courteous and love what they do.

We like that they are smaller, they have three buildings and each one has 30-35 residents. Smaller as far as the rooms, too; each apartment is like a large bedroom with a bathroom. They do respite, so we are trying it out until the end of December. After that you could do a month to month, with no commitment. Great price, they really worked with us. Her needs are a little more than everyone realized, though and when they add on the care charges at the end of December, the cost will go through the roof.

I'm satisfied with most things. My husband seems to be happy. They have 3 great meals and snacks. They have a lot of activities and the activity director is incredible. The reason I gave a 4 because there is a few things that I've addressed and I hope being fixed. The staff is great. Overall, I would recommend them to others.

The medical staff is great. They are caring and attentive. The activities are pretty good. The person who runs them makes a big effort to get people to go to the activities, so that’s good. The cleanliness is fine—more than fine, really. It’s very good. The food situation is mixed. The food itself is pretty good. I’d give the food maybe a 4 out of 5, or 3.5 out of 5. But the service in the dining room is really bad. You have to wait a long time. I would also say that the managerial staff is very easy to work with. They are congenial and helpful. Overall, I’m quite pleased with The Preserve. It’s not perfect, but it’s very good.

Staff are great and helpful. They host a variety of daily activities for the residents. Our biggest issue has been with food service. Inconsistent meal times, running out of food, small serving sizes.

My friend is pleased with the interactions she has with the staff. She enjoys the variety of activities and has even started a few gatherings of her own ( a Bible study and a book club). Her room is the perfect size, of which she was doubtful of in the beginning but will now say it's all she needs. She still says she feels like the meal selection could improve especially now since ownership has changed and they were told there would be the opportunity for more variety.

The overall experience was very good. [name removed] and [name removed] were wonderful and always there when I needed them. The nurses and staff were all very sweet and all introduced themselves upon my mom's arrival. They made me feel confident about having her at Sonata for a month of respite especially since we were traveling out of state. The apartment s were spacious and clean with safety features like bars in the bathroom and night lights. I would get pics and updates to let me know how see was doing. When I asked mom what she liked best she said the food! They have lots of different fun activities every day. She is not a huge participant when it comes to things like that but she did some chair work outs and watched movies with her new friends. I would recommend Sonata is a very nice place with a cozy vibe and very nice people.

Not enough activities. Food is excellent. Nurses Aides could be more attentive preparing residents for bed. Cleanliness overall good. Apartment size is very good. Apartments are nice. environment overall is generally good

Staff is exceedingly kind and we would recommend the community to other families.

The staff is very courteous and knowledgable when answering my questions and concerns. I am considering Beach House as a place for my wife.

The staff is extremely approachable. The overall atmosphere is friendly, and the place is extremely clean. The individual rooms are cleaned on a regular basis. Laundry is done in a timely manner. And I really appreciate the fact that my mother can come and go into the courtyard as she wishes. They have the freedom to move around if they are able. But it is extremely secure as far as actually exiting the property. So overall, I feel she's in a very safe place.
