I am quite pleased with the new director and current staff at Poet's Walk Cedar Park. The quality of care, leadership, and communication with family has improved considerably. This community and others have gone through a difficult time retaining qualified staff, but I am hopeful that the improvements made at Poet's Walk will continue.

Overall Monarch at Richardson is a good place. My dad really liked the food. The staff members were great.

I thought Azpira at Windermere was very nice. The facility was pretty and clean. Nothing else really stood out to me here. The location was not as ideal in terms of stores/amenities nearby.

The Hampton at Meadows Place is a very very nice community, it is very modern and the staff team that works there has been there for quite sometime so they know all the residents by name. The director will even walk around greeting the residents. They do have family activities every months and holiday parties as well as daily activities. The care givers really seem to be committed to giving the residents the best possible care and we would recommend this community to other families.

Sonata Viera is certainly a place to look at if it fits your family member's needs. Compared to other places in the area, it totally outshines them. They have a great number of activities to keep the residents involved all day long. It took a while for my loved one to get acclimated, but she's doing fine there now. She's happy with the food. It's expensive, but the cost is competitive with other places.

We're happy that our family member is here at Legacy Ridge. The staff are very friendly. Weekday room cleaning service is better than on the weekends. My family member loves the food. And we value the hospice service they recommended.

I'm very happy here. They have every amenity you could think of. I am a goer and come home late at night and have no fear for my safety. Every thing is provided for you (food, house keeping, entertainment). Nothing much to complain about

Our loved one was not there for very long, and we did have some issues when it came down to the level of care and what was promised - some of the things we needed were not followed through with. However there were plenty of activities that were offered which we really liked.

We chose Serenades because it looked better than the others we visited. We went to 2 other places and the residents were completely out of it, although it is strictly a memory care facility there are a few residents that are more with it here and able to hold a conversation with my loved one. The price is competitive and also walking distance from my home. I do have to request things multiple times and sometimes the word does not get passed down so that has been frustrating. They could improve on their communication within the staff. Overall we have had a very good experience with Serenades West Orange and would recommend the facility.

I thought Sonata at Coconut Creek was really nice - the facility was nice, and they seemed to have good activities. The rooms were a little bit smaller though. We visited another Sonata location in the area and had a similar impression.

I would definitely recommend Sonata to others. My loved one was in memory care so I can't comment on other buildings. Staff was friendly, accommodating. I had commented on the food not being very appealing or nutritious. It had improved but needed more work. Remark applied to dinner only. That's what I saw. Management was very helpful & caring. No activity after dinner other than TV. Some activity for residents during daytime, however I realize it was memory care. Shortage of staff at times. Made things difficult, & I know it's a problem all over. Place could use an updated look. Nevertheless, I would still would recommend it for the attention that my loved one received.

This is an excellent place for your loved one. The community is only five years old, and the best value for your dollar. The staff communication with the family is excellent. They are willing to remedy concerns quickly and they have an open door policy when it comes to the family's questions.

This was a good community, but we didn't have any family close by for our loved one.

The front end experience is wonderful. I was not rushed through the process, they made sure that I was in the right frame of mine for my loved one. The staff are friendly and proactive in caring for my loved one. The community is very clean. I feel that the community could use some additional assistance; however, I feel this is most anywhere currently. No community is perfect. Overall I would feel comfortable recommending someone place their loved ones here.

It's been wonderful to meet new people and hear their stories and experience their friendliness. I've spoken with some of the residents and most have come here because other residents spoke to them during their tour - that does make a difference. Most of the staff have been very helpful. My apartment is great. I have a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a washer and dryer in my unit. I was able to take all my things out of storage with the space I have here. They do allow pets, I have two cats with me. They provide transportation to some appointments and stores within a certain radius of the facility. Activities offered include fitness and wellness, cards, movies nights, happy hours on Friday(s), crotchet classes, bible study, yoga, water aerobics and so forth. Overall, I would recommend The Glades at ChampionsGate to others.

I would say to modify your expectations. It is bright and shiny and looks really great from the outside but really needs to be considered is the level of care. There are a lot of staffing shortages and communication is not always the best especially when you first move in they do not tell you a lot of the details that you need to know. Getting services started was a challenge and unless you hire a private care partner then your loved one is not going to get a lot of personal care. If your loved one is not self sufficient then you want to hire a care person to care for them due to the small number of staff in the community. I feel that my parents are in a safe environment and I am not completely dissatisfied and with all of the shortages alll other places are comparable at the time just go in with your eyes open.

We went with Monarch at Richardson because the location works out really well for my brother who lives close by. They keep her busy throughout the day in the memory care unit. They play games, do exercise classes, read to them, etc. She has a personal room and it is a nice size. The only negative is that they have lost almost everything of hers even though they are all labeled, so it would be nice if they could keep track of her personal items.
