The community is smaller than most and I like that they receive more personalized care. The community is kept neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

The staff are hard to reach to check on our loved one. It took a while for us to set up payment the way we wanted to pay. When we visited recently it was hard to find the management team. The food is really good. There is a full activity calendar for the residents to take advantage of.

They were excellent here. The director who ran the place was an excellent communicator. The ratio of staff to residents left plenty of staff available per person. That very well could have been that they had a bigger percentage of dementia patients to care for. The food was decent, a notch better than where we moved to when we moved to a different area. It was relatively easy to leave communications and notes regarding my loved one's care. Communication is key when you're on this side of your family member's care. And their communication was great. I attribute most of that to the director. He'd had a personal experience with a loved one passing, and it was a big awakening for him. He was just very good.

They have done a great job with safe activities and try to safely engage the residence. The response time could be better when there are things that my loved one needs. The process of getting in the staff were incredibly helpful. The communication wasn't what I had expected after my loved one was in the community. I had to get an aide in addition to the memory care cost due to person issues with my loved one. They were helpful setting up on the room. Once the resident is in the community, I think they need to have more staff available to talk to you about your loved one.

It is quaint, and not an institutionalized community. It feels like my loved one is living in a small neighborhood. There are only 20-25 people in each building. The staff are very good to work with. They are responsive to questions over my loved one.

The rooms at the community are adequate in size, we have no complaints, however we are having some issues with the overall rates.

My mother seems to enjoy it, and there are people her age. There is a swimming pool and exercise room for some activities. COVID has made it difficult with limited visitors. There was a leadership change due to a new company buying the location. My loved one enjoys the kai fish and balcony.

This is a community of approximately 50 residents. I was pleasantly impressed with the virtual tour and the information provided by [name removed]. I have a few questions about the availability of music for him and other residents. I am concerned about the ratio between caregivers and residents, which I was told is one for every 10 residents. My other concern is his transition specifically with the need to guide him to it. I liked the place very much but I need to have more information on the chef/cook and the quality of the food. I will visit again to clarify and asked specific questions about exercises, activities, and music. Also about the possibility of my volunteering 3 hours or so every day for a couple of weeks to help with activities, and then lower to two for a couple of weeks, then one, and finally stop once we agree he has transitioned. Park Place community is always clean, and prior to the virus they did a great job when it came to the activities. This community is very attractive and it met all the needs that we were looking for. Our loved one seems to be satisfied with the food.

We haven't been in the facility since COVID, but it is a great place the staff is friendly as well as very attentive. It is very clean, the food seems very good. The head of the nursing staff is amazing, she is constantly following up on things and keeping us updated. It is a little on the pricey side, you get what you pay for. My parents really like participating in the activities they provide. The memory care side, have a variety of different activities such as. If it is national ice cream day, they would make ice cream. If it is national cookie day, they would make cookies. Since COVID the activities director makes sure to spend one on one time with each and ever residents.

From our standpoint, I think the most important thing is that they were able to offer diabetes management. We chose this community because of this reason and that he would be able to live in an assisted living because he wasn't ready for a nursing home yet. The caregivers are great. The food is good and they are able to offer a diabetic diet to him. The staff have been great in accommodating, managing, and persuading him to make better choices according to his dietary restrictions. I would recommend this community to other families.

The staff is very friendly. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been sending us newsletters regularly about what they are doing and planning for the residents and their safety. The price at Sonata At Coconut Creek is a bit high. It is a pretty nice place and I have no complaints.

I was there when they were doing a sing along which was so much fun to watch. Lots of people were sitting outside in front of the building underneath the veranda. The place smells very clean. On the 2nd floor there are enclosed balconies. Downstairs has a courtyard with putt-putt golf. There are reading rooms, wii bowling, pool (game only), a rehab-type gym, salon, art room, reading area, planting of veggies is encouraged, menu changes are every 6 weeks. Memory care is on the 2nd floor and you need to have someone with you with a code for the elevator that is scanned to get to the 1st floor. What is to keep anybody in assisted living just walk out the front door and into the busy street? The people there smiled a lot, there is a very busy activity calendar, many exits are all clearly marked, nurses stations are there and medication technicians handle the meds. A physician visits once a week, but not each person is seen by the doctor. That is more like once every 3 weeks. I don't believe there is any wait list. This place is one year old and I believe 75% occupied. How is billing the long term care company handled? Incontinence? Showering?

Nice building. Has unsupervised Swimming pool, which could be a nice benefit. Rooms clean and staff is very nice.
