Very warm inviting community that has a home like feeling as soon as you walk in. The staff seems genuine and compassionate. They have very high functioning residents that are continuously engaged in activities and active. The food is amazing and the rooms were furnished which was a great plus. We have been VERY happy here for the last year and recommend it highly!

The staff are so nice here. They treat the residents like family. They have more patience than anywhere we’ve been they are well trained in Alzheimers’s care. Not to say everything and everyone is perfect but about 99%. Some of my husbands clothes have been missing for weeks and haven’t been found. The residents sometimes go into other rooms and pick up things but that can be expected bc they don’t know what they’re doing that stuff makes it’s way back to owner. Activity director is awesome. I would recommend this place bc my husbands behavior is so good here bc of care. They deal with difficult residents very well. The food could be improved otherwise it’s great here. I should know. Been 5 places before here. He’s in private room

My brother is a resident of the Memory Care Unit here and I can only say awesome things about Addington Place. From the Administration to the CNA’s, Addington is the BEST! If you want to make sure your love one is safe, and is taken well care of, give them a home at Addington. The place is beautiful; the food is good, and the people who work there are AWESOME! They listen to what you have to say, and they do their best to accommodate your request. I am so glad my brother is at Addington Place… they are taking very good care of him. I can go to bed at night knowing my brother is in a safe and secure place. Thanks to all of you at Addington for being wonderful people, who have hearts of gold!

I have lived in my 1-bedroom apartment with screened in balcony for about 3 months....am I completely unpacked...no!! but I am getting there with the help of my son who lives about 45 minutes away. The rent here includes so much....the apartment with full kitchen, stacking washer/dryer in a closet,, all utilities including 50 channels for TV watching, weekly light house keeping (including changing the bed sheets!!!), 3 meals a day (food is very good). there is a swimming pool (water exorcise 2X week, landscaping is gorgeous, and 20 or so activities each day....Staff are very friendly and pleasant and helpful. Words cannot describe how pretty this place is.....do yourself a favor, set up an showing appointment before it is too late and all the apartments have rented....filling up fast!

This brand-new facility is impressive. The decor is fabulous, the staff are friendly, and the location is ideal for anyone wishing to have their family close to Wellington. It is a "shelter in place" facility to my knowledge, built to the new standards. It features the ability for a resident to slowly transition from Assisted Living to Memory Care (they hold a special license for this) so residents can "drop in" on either of two Memory Care units on any day that wandering or escaping might be a concern. There was a fabulous "game room" with everything from a giant Scrabble board and giant chess to Bowling using a Wii (very innovative!) Drawbacks for us were that this facility is 100% Assisted Living and Memory Care, so there were no younger, more vibrant residents around to keep everyone on their toes and interested in staying lively - my father's wife, who is younger, would have been dismayed that all residents were impaired, as she is going along as a "companion" and will not receive care. My 8-year-old son was disappointed that this facility has no pool, and was a bit afraid of the grounds as we were told they are allowing a young alligator to call their pond home! The view out the apartment windows was lovely, however, and every apartment was completely barrier-free - even the shower was "wheel-in".

I visited 12 places in a very short period of time. Ultimately what helped me decide was the staff. They were considerate of the fact that I had to make a lot of tough decision in a short period of time. The office staff were very helpful, and did not pressure me. As I viewed several places, I did not see staff mingling with people like I did at Poet's walk. My mother moved in at the beginning of January. The front office staff always greets me with a smile and kind word. One time, I came unexpectedly to visit and my mom was already visiting with two staff members in her room, and was telling them stories. I heard the laughing before I walked into the room which makes my heart happy. I was so worried my mother would be upset about losing independence. She actually seems happier. She has new routines with her new friends. She told my teenager that she has a "bestie". These ladies really hit it off from the start. I can't say enough good things about the staff. My mother has adopted them all. She is constantly introducing me to my "new sister". The only thing that would make Poet's walk better would be to buy the chef an ice cream maker. (He has some ideas, and I volunteer to taste test.... for the residences of course). Thanks to all the staff for all they do! You are appreciated.

Super enthusiastic administrator! The monthly cost was a sticker shock situation but if I had expected it, I would not of been as shocked. Many activities and super clean and friendly.

My Mom was in the Preserve this past year until her recent death. She was always very clear that she never wanted to go to a "nursing home". She was highly educated and had traveled the world. When we arrived at The Preserve she was immediately taken in by the beauty of the place. She found the other residents to also be well educated and primarily all professionals. Initially she was engaged and social. During these months she enjoyed the wonderful variety of activities offered; the music, BINGO and visiting animals. A speakers series is available, arts and crafts, trivia and a monthly talk by a resident sharing their own life story - just to note a few of the options. The pool is wonderful, the grounds are beautiful, the pond is serene and the neighborhood is private. We always spoke of how it looked like she'd moved onto a cruise ship. The large welcoming reception area and the coffee area, the open dining room and the intimate neighborhood block areas for each resident's apartment made getting to the apartments here easier and much less confusing than any other facilities we found when we were looking. With time Mom began a significant cognitive decline and became caught in a no-man's land of not really belonging in either an ALF or a Memory Center. She could be rude to the staff and wanted to remain in her bed or apartment since she realized she couldn't remember anyone's names and sometimes felt confused. The care the nursing staff, the aides, and all the various support staff provided her was remarkable. They were kind and gentle and attentive to her and her needs - even when she was not always gracious in return. (which she was unaware she had done) She was always clean, she always had food and drinks available to her, her doctor was always kept in the loop and her meds were monitored and dispersed appropriately. The aides were gentle and thoughtful and often checked in on her when she chose not to join an activity. When we entered this concerning decline the nursing staff was so kind to us as a family and taught us so much about this terrible disease. Even as times became tough, Mom always spoke of how kind the residents and the staff were and how beautiful her apartment was. My family appreciates the care our Mom received at The Preserve; the beauty and simplicity of the facility. the variety of activities, the kindness of other residents and the excellent medical and personal care provided to her. We appreciate the continuing education we received from caring nurses and aides. We highly recommend The Preserve for senior care.

The staff and administration are very friendly and attentive. The activities director was great and everyone seemed to be concerned about the welfare of my husband.

We toured most assisted living facilities in the area. Most looked nice and had great brochures but care levels varied. We wanted one that had 24 hour nursing on site and could provide support for oxygen and medication. During the tour we met with both the Community and Executive Directors and were very impressed with their knowledge, sensitivity to my mothers needs and the facility. Sonata far exceeded our expectations. The food is great, there are always activities and the staff is friendly, caring and responsive. Most times the aides respond in minutes when my mother needs assistance. Thank you Sonata

Our experience with the folks at Barsthaven was quite positive. Everyone was always courteous and helpful and seemed to know their”folks” very well. Unfortunately my husbands decline was very rapid and he passed away after only 3 weeks. The Barathaven staff was very compassionate and helpful through it all.

Revel of Nevada is a special place. New, exciting and a wonderful experience. Not only are the activities are of best quality, but so are the other residents that live here! I met the love of my life here, [name removed]. She moved here in June and I moved in July. We have become a couple. Neither of us were looking for romance, it just happened. Here at Revel, something has happened that I never thought would have happened before. I knew I would fall in love with the community, but I never knew I would have fallen in love with a man! Without Revel, I would have never been able to live the life I am now. It is an amazing community – and so is the guy I am with today.

i absolutely loved the place and the vibe, more of a family setting. the big drawback is the studio apartments. Although they are plenty big enough, my father prefers a one bedroom place.

My husband was the first female president when poets walk open [date removed]. He has a favorite, but all residents are treated with respect and affection. The caregivers all very compassionate, they all are attentive to any changes in residence health or demeanor. The food is healthy – the activities keep them engaged. The management bends over backwards to accommodate concerns of family members. This is a clean facility.

WHILE AT SONATA I FOUND EVERYONE FRIENDLY, THE FACILITY CLEAN AND THE CARE GREAT. I AM ONLY THERE PERIODICALLY BUT FEEL THAT EVERYONE IS GENUINELY CONCERNED FOR ALL RESIDENCE THAT LIVE THERE.
