I am rating the facility based on my interactions with the staff and observations. I rated the food and activities a 2. The Glades is undergoing another management company change. I understand this is the third management company in 5 – 6 years. Is this typical? I am hoping, as is my Mom, that the food will be better under the new management company. We are disappointed that the facility does not have a choir or Bridge club, as they stated when we signed on. They seem to have a lot of activities, just not the ones that my Mom was hoping for.

We got a lot of attention and help at the beginning, but once we were in there, then we had to continue to follow up on things and ask for things to make sure that we were getting everything that comes with the package we pay for.

Location and availability. The director of sales was easy to work with. Combined activities for memory care and AL. There seems to be quite a lot of staff turn over. There is no specific director for memory care.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They are always willing to assist. I also like if I have a problem the staff address it immediately.

I have found the staff very helpful as we travel quite a bit and they have provided Mom with their cards/contact info and help with ordering groceries to be delivered.

My husband suffered a very intense stroke leaving him without the use of his arms and legs. After participating in several rehab programs without great improvements Somata decided to give him the opportunity to live a somewhat normal life. He is mentally aware of his surroundings but definitely needs help in his everyday activities. With their help he is adjusting beautifully! After a short time he now calls Sonata his home!

They could do a better job of giving a good care report when the family is picking up their loved one. However, the community is very nice and the food looked great.

There is staff turnover and management changes just like everywhere else but I find they are always working on improvements and they value feedback from families.

My mother is enjoying her time at the Sonata due to the warm friendly staff and modern facilities. The care has been high quality thus far and the overall program/facility is well organized and well-run. The campus is also pretty with lots of trees and spread out (allowing residents to eat outside, etc).

These ratings are for the assisted living portion of Addington. I was FAR FROM pleased with their rehabilitation section. Note that the dining room and most of the first floor amenities are for those that require minimal care. Residents that need assistance with meals and mobility will be limited, most of the time, to the second floor, where things are not as well appointed. Staff is caring and helpful in the assisted living section. The rehabilitation portion of Addington is another story. The rehabilitation section seems to be run as a completely different company within Addington. The administration/managers of the rehabilitation center didn't seem to care about patients on an individual basis. Communication was lacking. Nursing aids were mostly good and caring, but their supervisors were a mixed bag. Overall I would NOT place a loved one in the rehabilitation facility.

The staff are very friendly and for the most part responsive to questions and requests from residents and family members. They had a really good special offer just when we needed to find a place due to me needing surgery and [name removed] needing care. They worked with us to make sure we met the deadline to get the deal. The administrative staff were very helpful

[name removed] was on a Level 1 plan and they were supposed to watch her take meds. Several times I found meds in her room. Additionally, [name removed] had chronic UTIs but I was always the one to tell them that she was off. I think they are having some staffing issues. I will give high praise to [name removed] the day nurse and [names removed] at the front desk. They are all wonderful!!! They went above and beyond several times to help [name removed]l and we grew to love them.

I did a half dozen tours. They seemed to be properly staffed. The rooms seemed clean. There were no bad smells as we walked through the facility. The facility had a "home like" feel...quaint, not sterile. The price was also important. I would recommend them. My overall experience was very positive. I'm not naïve to the costs of running these places and how they can save money with med techs. Personnel issues are going to always be a problem. I don't know what qualifies one to be a med tech, but I wish that there were more nurses and less med techs. Again, I know it's a cost savings.

We chose Park Place at Winghaven because of the rooms, activities, dining arrangements, staff. There is administration/director turnover but I think that happens at many facilities. Very friendly and caring place.

Serenades has made my mother and experience as best as can ne this has been the hardest things to do but they have made our process good for us.

Facility is clean and bright Staff friendly. Lots of activities for residents to partake in. Orientation to the facility of resident and family of resident could improve. Food is okay. Monotonous. Pets are allowed so that’s nice.

My mom has been at sonata Windermere for one year now and we feel like family there. The staff is so nice. The residents are very sweet and friendly. It is clean and decorated beautifully. The food is wonderful with many selections. It gives us a great piece of mind knowing that my mom is being taken care of.

Been living here for 6 1/2 years. I’m very comfortable, I love my apartment. Made really good friendships and relationships. I love my life here. Activities are great especially painting and bingo. Food is good.

Great location. Well laid out physical plant. Staff very helpful/friendly. Excellent food/ meals. Musical activities excellent.

I have been pretty satisfied with the facility. The main thing that stuck out was that it does not smell. I used to service nursing homes and a lot of them. The smell of urine was very prevalent. I've never smelled that at Elan. Overall, I would recommend Elan WestPointe to others.
