Food quality and tastiness 3.5 out of 5. Disappointed that Alamar advertised prepared food 24 hours a day but it is only available in 2 hour time blocks with dinner 4:30 - 6:30pm and breakfast not served until 8am. Nursing staff is very difficult for residents to contact but do seem concerned. Poor communication between nursing staff from shift to shift. Short staffed for maintenance, and, again difficult to contact to take care of in room maintenance issues. Seems to be a lot of upper level staff turn-over going on. That said, it is a cheery happy place overall.

Nothing major, just had a little issue connecting with the business office. Just felt homey. Rooms are large activities all day long.

Most of the staff are pretty good. Some of the people do the minimum. Quality of the care for the most part is good, but sometimes leaves room for improvement. The activities are less than I expected and in a group setting more difficult than I expected they would be. The food for the most part is pretty good. There are two entrées in the evening and sometimes one of them may not be very good. The people serving the food will serve whatever they are given, even if it is less than desirable. The residents are not given knives of course, and sometimes the food cannot be cut with the edge of a fork. The room size is adequate, but there is absolutely no security. The rooms are not locked and the residence can wander from room to room. management says this is so the ambulatory residence can go in and out of their room, which makes sense.

[name removed] was an excellent guide. Who found the facility to be very clean and the staff to be friendly and outgoing. The private rooms are much larger than other facilities that we told, and we were very interested in being put on the waitlist.

Basically the men and women are in their own neighborhood. And its small, meals are excellent.

There was a bit of a delay in getting her medical information and care switched to their Provider. Overall, she is very happy there and is being well cared for. She enjoys the activities and is even leading a few.

This facility, especially the individual rooms are NOT handicapped friendly.

The process to get moved in was a struggle. Communication could have been better. Room wasn't cleaned...we moved in 10 days after it was paid for, plenty of time to get the room cleaned. Still not happy with the cleaning staff for her room. The care team is good to call and communicate with issues that arise.

Weekend staff is a drop off. The facility is very clean and bright. The food is not bad, just a little bland. They really try with the activities, but the population is small so it is harder to match people vs a larger facility.

We would rate it a definite 4. There were a couple issues/concerns and most have been addressed and resolved. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families. Serenades has a comforting atmosphere and caring staff. It has been a great experience for our family to have our father there and know he is well taken care of.

Clean and nice amenities. The only negative is staffing problems in dining. Absolutely would recommend

Overall experience is about a 4.5. Nothing's perfect and good can be difficult with over 150 people to feed at each mealtime. Selection varies, but overall is very good, not gourmet, but very good. Most of the people seem to be happily engaged in the wide variety of activity offerings.

The staff is very helpful and courteous. It's more of a homely environment with smaller groups maybe 30. Same employees serve the same group everyday most of the time. So each one gets to know each other more personally. The only area that dropped was the food choice and quality drop a very little from the start but it's still good. The employees are very good .The medical group handle her pills dispense very good. Compared to the other place she stayed for 5 years is much better environment

There was some staffing problems. I really like the cleanliness, the friendliness and pricing. I would pay more for better food. They also need a very tasty diet menu.

Pretty well. There is still the expected confusion associated with dementia, but he has a good, caring staff to guide him thru.

I would recommend it, but just that they do not get good reception if you are call your loved one to their cell phone. You have to use facetime.

The place is very good. The onboarding is not so good, meaning there is not a lot of attention/help getting acclimated. But if you can get beyond the initial phase the staff is friendly, the place is clean (daily pick up of trash), they offer many in house services such as physical therapy, doctor, salon, pediatrist, and pharmacy. The food is very good. The price is very reasonable.

They have been great for the most part. Staff are friendly and helpful. They did make us jump through a seemingly unnecessary hoops before they would admit, but since then they have been great.

We have recommended English Meadows to others and will continue to do so when possible. We only have experience with the Memory Care Unit but other residents seemed happy and well cared for. So we can recommend English Meadows highly to other families.

Elan Westpointe is truly a community. The director and staff work hard to make you feel at home. They host many events that allow residents time for social experiences with one another and with family. The staff makes the most of the dinning experiences for all meals. You truly feel like you're visiting a restaurant. Room service is available for a small fee. [name removed] (Director) is great about listening to concerns or any questions. She does her best to put you at ease. The cleaning and custodial staff are phenomenal! After visiting many facilities this one was a no brainer!
