new community, very nice grounds, interior is beautiful. good choice of apartments. this community is one of the few places that offers Kosher food.has Friday night services. should check this one out.

I think they’re taking good care of my loved one. It seems to be a really nice place. She’s clean and happy and I guess that’s all that matters. We haven’t had any problems with the laundry so far. I was real pleased with it, which is why I chose it over the others. The other residents seem happy to be there.

They are very clean and very friendly. They have plenty of activities. I believe the food is excellent. I can't think of anything I would like to see done better or improved. Park Place seemed to have the best reputation of the places we looked at, we didn't hear one negative thing about them, and was in a good location for us.

My mother had lived with my husband and I for about 10 years and had been somewhat indedent. Came to The Hamptons right at 2 months ago and although my mom had her pitty parties everyone at The Hamptons were very, very supportive and really helped her finally get where she needs to be mentally with her new living situation. I highly recommend Homewood Residence at Coconut Creek. My dad had some second thoughts, but they couldn’t have been nicer! They are fabulous. Every one of the girls is very nice and helpful. We’re very happy with the activities offered.

I want to thank "A place for Mom". Mary made things much more understandable when I was thrust into needing to find care for my Dad. She had lots of answers to questions. She even had answers to questions I did not have, or know to ask. Thanks Mary.

My father lives in Serenades. Everything about this place is great. The staff is always willing to go out of their way to help. We are very pleased with everything.

The caregivers are wonderful, the director is not so friendly in my experience. The director is not real warm and friendly. Some of the staff has left since the new director has come on. The administration have really been the only ones we have had a problem with. I have seen a lack of professionalism with the administration on occaision. We had some rough spots in the beginning. I would still like to see showers happen more frequently. One important thing I recently learned, is they don't do a monthly weigh in, and nobody knew where the scale was, and their alternative option was to do a personal trainer at 40 dollars for 30 minutes. They have a friday bus ride, that we really love. It's a smaller community.

The Jewish Pavilion is an outreach organization that seeks to enhance the lives of residents and their families in over 50 senior living communities. The non-profit provides sabbath and holiday celebrations, musicales, ice cream socials, intergenerational festivities and more. Serenades by Sonata in Longwood is one of our favorite buildings. First off, it is gorgeous and immaculate. The residents appear to be so happy . The staff is very helpful, patient and friendly. The food is delicious and prepared in an elegant manner. When we do a party in the building, such as a Hanukkah party, residents of all faiths are included. What I have observed is the high level of participation of the staff. Everyone joins in on the celebration. At the last party, staff from Serenades, staff from the Pavilion, volunteers from the Pavilion, and residents were dancing around the room having such a great time. Residents, who could no longer dance, were, tapping their heels and clapping along to the music . I would highly recommend Serenades by Sonata for your family and friends.

This is just a great place overall. It's always very clean, and the care and activities provided are great. The staff in particular are just outstanding. There's never a frown to be seen, they're always willing to help with anything, and they genuinely seem to love their jobs and the people that live there. Not only do they provide excellent care to the residents, they're a great source of comfort and advice to family members as well. We couldn't be happier that we chose them!

My mother has been a resident since September 2013. The facility is beautiful and very well kept, but staff is what makes this facility outstanding. I just can't say enough. The entire staff is kind, caring and treats the residents like family. I never worry about my mom's safety or happiness. The team in charge of activities does a wonderful job of giving variety and keeping the residents engaged. I am grateful we found such a wonderful place for Mom.

My father had the pleasure of living at Serenades by Sonata for two years. He was well cared for by a loving staff that he called his family. He thoroughly enjoyed the interior courtyard, going for walks several times a day to smell the flowers, watch the butterflies and clouds, and enjoy the sunshine. He also enjoyed the top notch activity program which kept his mind challenged and encouraged social interaction. His favorites included SongBirds, therapy dogs, and activities on the IPad. You can tell the staff enjoy each other as well as the residents. They find creative ways to celebrate all kinds of things from holidays and birthdays to baby showers and honoring their vets. Check out their facebook page to see the residents in action. Dad would give Serenades by Sonata a two thumbs up and so would we!

Serenades West Orange in Winter Garden, FL, is what a facility SHOULD be for everyone everywhere who struggles with finding quality care for a loved one when it is no longer possible to care for him or her at home. In addition, Serenades is for Alzheimer's/dementia care -- a niche desperately needed in this country. We moved our Mom from the memory care unit of an assisted living facility to Serenades West Orange in May 2013. It has been a wonderful experience from the get-go. Serenades is so far superior in all ways to the other facility: clean (as in CLEAN); bright; wide hallways to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs as needed; motion sensors; well-placed helpful lighting in the rooms for residents (such as a light strip next to the bathroom door, permanent nightlight over the toilet); good food (individually served to each resident -- food kept warm on the built-in induction burners on the kitchen counters; well-trained staff; friendly, caring, and attentive staff; excellent/timely communications and follow-up with staff via email/phone; meds dispensed by RNs with iPads (and residents' photos for proper ID) (Note: Mom was mis-medicated multiple times in the other facility, which manually wrote down the meds); RNs 24 x 7; secure -- no chance of your loved one wandering out of and away from the facility; excellent/stimulating activities (music, dancing, arts and crafts, language arts, etc.) provided by Team Elliott Education 3 times a day, 7 days a week. We went from being totally stressed out about Mom's care because of constant problems (some minor but mostly MANY major ones) and spending 80% of our visit time following up with the executive director and resident care director at the former facility to being able to really visit with Mom at Serenades West Orange. A very few minor items were handled expeditiously without our having to constantly follow-up like at the former facility. Our stress level concerning Mom's care has gone down 1000% because of Serenades West Orange! Our dear Mom is declining rapidly with late-stage Alzheimer's at this point, but we know she is well cared for at Serenades West Orange. THANK YOU EVERYONE AT SERENADES WEST ORANGE for "getting it" in what quality Alzheimer's/dementia care should be.

Memory unit was impressive, as were the staff members for the memory facility and the assisted living portions of the residence. I was impressed by Becky, the director of the Yamato Homewood Residence and the care in which the residents were assisted and thought of--I will be visiting again.

A beautiful place - very inviting - Debbie was full of information. Its close to Mom's grandchildren and not that far a drive for me. I like Pavillon alot.

The staff at Serenades is very kind and helpful. Their focus is on the residents and their over all well being.

Top of the line, but more for someone with dementia and she would have been locked down. She didn't want that. She would have felt like she was in jail. Was like a five star ritz carlton and the staff was wonderful. It was beautiful, and the staff was great! This would have been my number one pick but she wasn't that demented that she needed to be in a locked facility. They have a beautiful garden.

This facility is amazing! My mom is well cared for and treated like family by all of the staff. The residents receive healthy meals, fresh fruit, and snacks all day every day. There is a nurse on duty 24/7. There are activities daily and the staff is exceptional. My mom was at Emeritus of Ocoee before coming to Serenades, she was abused, denied food and medically neglected. I'm so thankful that we found Serenades. The facility is beautiful! They go above and beyond! If you are looking for an Assisted Living Facility where your loved one will be loved, respected and well-cared for Serenades at Winter Garden is the place for them to be. Look no further, trust me.

Since my mom has moved into Serenades, I don't worry about anything. The girls are so kind and gentle. I believe they are Angels. The best decision we could have ever made. Thank you all!

It looks like a Hyatt and the people are so friendly -- from the staff to the residents. They have taken my mother under their wings. Her apartment is so cute, with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The food is delicious -- Mom always looks forward to her meals and we really enjoy eating with her when we can. They are quick to respond and eager to please. Mom loves all the aides and nurses -- they treat her like a queen.
