People are good at the service they provide

My mom seams to like it and attends most of the activities. I have been impressed with most of the items at the Meadows. I do feel they could really improve on the food. The selection does not seam very healthy or creative. When we eat with her we stick to a sandwich, salad bar or burger. Last time we had the meatloaf and it was not good and it came with frozen wilted looking vegies and a few red potatos.

The facility is beautiful and well maintained. The residents are able to walk out of their rooms into a bright, active area where they can participate in activities of mingle with other residents and guests. The Activity Director is amazing - planning such a variety of daily/monthly activities & inviting guest performers and entertainment. Concerns: 1. Staff morale and turnover. The CNAs are always kind and considerate of the patients but the new faces week after week is alarming. Often the facility seems understaffed especially at night. 2. The RN that is shared with the AL section is never visible in the Memory Care unit and did not return any of our telephone calls. 3. In 6 months, The Meadows Directors was seen mingling with the guests, residents and staff only once.

Getting medication dosages and times were a little problematic for the first couple of months. There is not enough staff for extra services unless you pay to go up to a higher level, making it necessary for home health services. Now that mom has leveled out, things are much better, but were a little rough in the beginning.

My Mother was here for 8 years and due to the flooding, this facility has been shut down. While it was here, there had been a few different owners but Brookdale was the best. The staff was very friendly but they didn’t have that warm homey feel to it. I didn’t really like that the staff let my mom go to her room and isolate herself. The food here was good and they had a lot of options to pick from. Usually, at every dinner, they had 3 different types of meat.

We toured at Brookdale Irving, and I really liked the community. The gentleman who led us on our tour was amazing; such a nice man, and such a nice facility as well. my only issues were the far distance and the price.

This looked like a nice community when we visited. This is a two story building. They do not have individual apartments as the rooms are one big room with a bed and bathroom. The person that took us on tour was nice.

My husband and I have recently made the move into this community and I have no complaints of how things are going. The staff have been kind to work with and I am comfortable with the care they have been providing us. We have been enjoying the meals and participating in some of the great activities they have to offer. Overall we have been pleased and I would recommend it to anyone interested.

Mom liked this community very much. They tend to run on the smaller size than most other communities. The staff was friendly and helpful on our tour. The community looked clean and well maintained. She didn't choose this one because she wanted to be closer to a family.

Staff is wonderful, helpful,. [Removed] is very informative and helpful. I think the dogs should be banned for the size of the center these animals do come in contact of person have allergy's and are afraid of them.

i had recently taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I was pleased with how things had went for us. The staff where kind and made sure to answer any questions that we had for them. One thing I had noticed is they did not seem to have as many activities as some of the other places. My mom also wanted a closer location to her family in the end decision.

My mother is doing better, The Meadows is a very nice place. It is bright and sunny. The downfall was that they don't follow up on half the things they tell you before moving in. The management did not keep some of their promises and blamed it on miscommunication. We moved mom in and her and my sister had to clean the whole apartment. Their excuse was that they thought she was not moving in for a week. They still have most fixed the cabinets. I am a little disappointed, I also wish they would focus on the new person, helping them getting accommodated and introduce them to some people. They did do that but it was towards about the third week. I also think families should look at is the activity level of the resident's before making a choice. Mom is very mobile, she's walking, and most of the residents there are in wheelchairs and walkers. It would have been beneficial for her to have other residents there that could go on walks with her.

We have had a couple of issues and it appears to be getting worked on. I did not appreciate an increasing bill, it seemed to be higher after the following month. I also was told they had no problems taking care of diet needs. All is getting straightened out. It has been helpful to have them provide the care. It is a positive experience and I see the staff showing compassion and see they are trying to make progress.

My mom stayed here for awhile until we found that she needed more help. This was not the right level of care for her and the hallways were distant from her room. They were no longer the right fir. It is a nice place and the staff were very accommodating and attentive during her stay.

Mom is still adjusting to living at Greenfield. Her health is better. The staff are fabulous and really do care about the residents. She does not like the food, however my father in law does. There is not a variety of food options in the evening. They seem to offer a lot of activities. The community is clean but there is a musty smell and some cracked walls in the stairwell.

I think on Sundays they need more employees its hard to find one to help on Sundays .. and its very quiet and deserted on Sundays. You dont see many employees on Sunday .. just residents. You have to hunt for someone.

We toured Lucas Place and it was a nice small lock down unit. This is a cozy community with more of a nursing home feel. I think this might be a good place for people looking for dementia or alzheimer's care.

It seems like a nice place. The outside area is not very big. The food is alright.

I think they need some help on the maintenance. We have had a lot of trouble with the plumbing. The manager is gone now, and I haven't had anyone able to tell me who the new manager is. They have a little atrium with trees and birds, which we used to have a view of, but with being moved due to maintenance. The food has been good. The rooms are clean, they have good housekeeping. The people are friendly, it's a nice place, they just need to work on the maintenance.

This was a nice place, and a top choice when we first toured. I don't think this was the best fit for my loved one. I was not entirely happy, and we ended up moving. Once moved my loved one was much happier.
