The price was certainly a factor. Emerson is not the most modern or blinged up apartment. But it offers a lot for the price. My mother is very happy there

All staff incredibly caring. Facility is clean and bright and odorless. Courtyard is a unique feature allowing residents safe access to the outside to get fresh air and sun and enjoy nature. Residents allowed to keep small pets. They add so much to the residents quality of life. I think like every facility they could use more staff but that was more a hardship for staff than for residents. The facility has its own hair salon. Getting their hair done regularly makes such a difference in the residents self esteem and mood. On site podiatry service monthly. Fills a huge need. On site Covid and flu vaccines. Transportation to medical appointments. Church services. Facility cost is relatively high but you get all these things for that price

My loved one was here for a short period of time. He personally did not like it at all, but I thought it was a nice place. The food was his biggest negative. The staff members there were all great!

Most of the staff have been there for several years and really look out for the residents. Although the building is aged, they do a good job keeping it clean and nicely decorated. They have activities throughout the month and management goes out of their way to make families and friends of the residents feel welcome.

Emerson was a place for me to bee closer to my job, not much if any participation with activities provided. For worked full time. Staff was helpful and awesome. There was substantial increase in rent last year of $100, and this year the director told me going up $50 more. Can't extent any further. Each person is different in their experience. My experience is different for I didn't have much contact with residents, or wait staff, except now and then in the cafeteria. Most residents don't work so there experience would be different.

Everyone that I have had contact with has been very kind and helpful. From staff to residents and family of residents. There was an undisclosed move in fee(per my brother)& also additional fees if your lo is taking any medication. There is an ongoing problem with my mom’s commode. It barely has any water flow and barely flushes. They said that if it continues that they would replace it. That was a week after she moved in. She’s been there almost 2 months and she still has the same commode and flushing problem. Mr. Rodney is very kind and said that he doesn’t mind coming to her room every day if he has too to get the toilet flushed. He said once that he got a big wad of wipes. And another time a big wad of toilet paper. I’ve seen how my mom folds her toilet paper and is very frugal about how much she uses. I have enjoyed family night twice so far. My mom has dementia and doesn’t remember to be able to tell us how well she likes it there. She is always dressed appropriately. Thank you

Mom likes it there. When my dad passed she wanted to stay in the area so she could be close to relatives and friends. I looked at facilities in my area. But she wanted to be in the area where she lived. She is Baptist. They have Baptist and Methodist services each week. That was important to her

Nice place. Very helpful and friendly staff. There are issues in the cafeteria. They don't always have what is needed or wanted. They seam to always be short of help. Food is usually pretty good though.

The activities they schedule are great. They really try to keep them all occupied. They look after the residents even though they live independently. Negatives would be the place just smells odd. Right when you walk in the door. I wish they'd freshen it up! And they keep increasing the rent. Some have even had to move out because they couldn't afford the increases.

I know every business has had to make concessions during this difficult economic time. However, w/the seniors 3 meals were originally provided. I understand providing a sandwich meal on Sundays so the staff can enjoy their family. Though rent is up, food services are cut leaving seniors w/out dinner everyday of the week. Fried foods are often served to often. The elevators need to be serviced so no one gets hurt.

My loved one was previously a resident at Emerson South Collins and the overall experience was good. Emerson provided a safe, active environment. The move in process was easy and the staff was friendly. The other residents were happy and friendly, as well. Based on our experience, I would recommend Emerson South Collins to others.

Grayson court has been a real partner in helping my husband and I cope with his long term recovery. I find them kind and responsive to his needs at all times. They have worked well with the home health service providers that come to provide medical support several times weekly.

Overall, the experience has been very good. Very clean and inviting atmosphere, a great staff, and a good group of residents overall. My only complaint is that I was told that the residents would be taking outings for shopping etc. and that is not the case. They do not have a van suitable for taking a large group anywhere. This is contrary to what the brochure had and what the administrator told me during my initial visit. I hope they can correct this as I think it would be a benefit to my mom and all the other residents.

Staff is great, very helpful and friendly. The housekeeping is good. Moving in was easy, they showed you how to get big items in. You are able to take your meals to your room, just have to bring your own container. They have really good food and you can pick from a couple of items. Communication with the family is really good.

New owners since January are upgrading and expanding the staff which has been a positive experience thus far. They need to have more activities that are more appealing to the majority of residents and at least 5 days per week instead of 2-3 days per week.

My Mom passed away on [date removed] Mackenzie Place is not my favorite place right now. I can't get answers to my questions concerning the final bill, and they have not reported her death to the pharmacy. And we're still getting bills.

We found that the Meadows is a friendly community. Both the staff and residents have been warm and welcoming. We chose the Meadows for my MIL for the convenient location in town for friends and family to visit, the friendliness of the staff, the recommendations from friends who work in the healthcare field, and were familiar with several local assisted living facilities. The more moderate cost of care.

The staff is great but some of their processes need to be refined. Good people that are somewhat poorly managed. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Wheeler Terrace community to other families.

Over all it is great. One "special" at lunch and dinner with an alternate menu with salads, sandwiches, fish ,chicken baskets with chips "tots" or regular fries sometimes sweet potato fries or breakfast items. We have not gone down to breakfast as we are not morning people. Staff is friendly and helpful, trashes are picked up regularly and units are cleaned weekly - towels and sheets are picked up and laundered bathrooms are cleaned and floors are vacuumed. If I have anything in the sink they wash them too and clean counters and wipe down fridge! We are in assisted living due to my husband's dementia and Parkinson's. He is able to take care of his own personal needs but when help is needed it is prompt and effective. We receive a daily schedule of activities for the following day in the evening or the next morning with a game or puzzle on the back. We feel over all this is a comfortable situation and the best price for our needs

I was familiar with Winkler because I led the Sunday School class once a month pre-covid. Everyone I ever encountered spoke highly of the facility. Winkler has a very good reputation.
