The Reunion at Clear Lake was one of the better options for my parents who are in their 90s and have special needs. The community is active and it's nice to see residents around every time I stop in. My parent's are still adjusting to the lifestyle of living in an apartment and having to do some things for themselves. All people who work there are very nice and try to be accommodating. My mother says staff do not come as soon as she needs them when pressing the alert button. I think the staff do the best they can with amount of people they take care of. I thinks it's great they know everyone's name. There were 2 things that concerned me. 1. The tracking of my mother's meds ans 2. Tracking the water needed for my mother's oxygen machine.

I have made friends here and eat meals at various tables with them. The WFV is an old building and has not been maintained well. I've heard multiple tenants comments on allergies to unknown causes. I suffer greatly when I go down for meals and usually end up sick for several days. I have had pneumonia for the first time in my life, and suffer with multiple allergic reactions.

This is a very nice facility and the staff generally do their best to take care of the residents. Their only issue is being able to keep enough staff to do this really well. But I think that is a problem that all facilities are facing. The Wildcat staff is genuinely caring. If they had more people, they would do a better job. When we left in June, they were very stretched and were doing the best they could, but it was hard because the management kept accepting more residents without additional staff. I would definitely recommend Wildcat Senior Living.

Overall, good. We picked them because it was close to my house. I would recommend to others.

The price was certainly a factor. Emerson is not the most modern or blinged up apartment. But it offers a lot for the price. My mother is very happy there

Very positive! It's a friendly place and well run. Highly recommended! We picked this community because of the affordability.

Sometimes, the maid skimps on cleaning the shower. Many times, eggs, bacon, sausage, or Canadian bacon not included for breakfast. Only protein served is yogurt. There were supposed to be movie nights once a week, but that hasn't happened. The shuttle won't take [name removed] to the nearby Gold's Gym. The shuttle isn't always working. We feel it's a good value for the cost, but we still don't like the fact that breakfast served there is not that nutritious or good for residents with blood sugar problems. [name removed] has a medicine that affects her blood sugar. The breakfast there has too many carbs. On the positive side, we got my friend [name removed] to move to New Forest Haven in [date removed]. He likes it and has another friend there [name removed] who also moved there recently. Yes, We recommended New Forest Haven to [name removed], and he moved there. His friend [name removed] heard about [name removed] recommendation, and she moved there.

They are very good with the residents and are very understanding. They treat the residents with respect and are very caring. They could also make some improvements on the food.

Most of the staff have been there for several years and really look out for the residents. Although the building is aged, they do a good job keeping it clean and nicely decorated. They have activities throughout the month and management goes out of their way to make families and friends of the residents feel welcome.

Emerson was a place for me to bee closer to my job, not much if any participation with activities provided. For worked full time. Staff was helpful and awesome. There was substantial increase in rent last year of $100, and this year the director told me going up $50 more. Can't extent any further. Each person is different in their experience. My experience is different for I didn't have much contact with residents, or wait staff, except now and then in the cafeteria. Most residents don't work so there experience would be different.

Everyone that I have had contact with has been very kind and helpful. From staff to residents and family of residents. There was an undisclosed move in fee(per my brother)& also additional fees if your lo is taking any medication. There is an ongoing problem with my mom’s commode. It barely has any water flow and barely flushes. They said that if it continues that they would replace it. That was a week after she moved in. She’s been there almost 2 months and she still has the same commode and flushing problem. Mr. Rodney is very kind and said that he doesn’t mind coming to her room every day if he has too to get the toilet flushed. He said once that he got a big wad of wipes. And another time a big wad of toilet paper. I’ve seen how my mom folds her toilet paper and is very frugal about how much she uses. I have enjoyed family night twice so far. My mom has dementia and doesn’t remember to be able to tell us how well she likes it there. She is always dressed appropriately. Thank you

Mom likes it there. When my dad passed she wanted to stay in the area so she could be close to relatives and friends. I looked at facilities in my area. But she wanted to be in the area where she lived. She is Baptist. They have Baptist and Methodist services each week. That was important to her

Nice place. Very helpful and friendly staff. There are issues in the cafeteria. They don't always have what is needed or wanted. They seam to always be short of help. Food is usually pretty good though.

The activities they schedule are great. They really try to keep them all occupied. They look after the residents even though they live independently. Negatives would be the place just smells odd. Right when you walk in the door. I wish they'd freshen it up! And they keep increasing the rent. Some have even had to move out because they couldn't afford the increases.

I know every business has had to make concessions during this difficult economic time. However, w/the seniors 3 meals were originally provided. I understand providing a sandwich meal on Sundays so the staff can enjoy their family. Though rent is up, food services are cut leaving seniors w/out dinner everyday of the week. Fried foods are often served to often. The elevators need to be serviced so no one gets hurt.

My mom's overall experience at New Forest Haven Assisted Living has been good. [Name removed] is an outstanding and caring Director. The CNAs and other staff are good to great. I have found the Assisted Living building to be well cared for, comfortable and clean. Everyone has been welcoming and friendly. The food is just okay, but I think New Forest Haven is aware of this. My mom's studio apartment is nice and the level of care has been refreshing. New Forest worked to create a plan that was affordable.

My loved one was previously a resident at Emerson South Collins and the overall experience was good. Emerson provided a safe, active environment. The move in process was easy and the staff was friendly. The other residents were happy and friendly, as well. Based on our experience, I would recommend Emerson South Collins to others.

Overall, the experience has been very good. Very clean and inviting atmosphere, a great staff, and a good group of residents overall. My only complaint is that I was told that the residents would be taking outings for shopping etc. and that is not the case. They do not have a van suitable for taking a large group anywhere. This is contrary to what the brochure had and what the administrator told me during my initial visit. I hope they can correct this as I think it would be a benefit to my mom and all the other residents.

Staff is great, very helpful and friendly. The housekeeping is good. Moving in was easy, they showed you how to get big items in. You are able to take your meals to your room, just have to bring your own container. They have really good food and you can pick from a couple of items. Communication with the family is really good.

There has been quite a turnover of staff but that can be expected from the sale of the facility right before our move. And in the process there has been updating and remodeling of the facility. They are still in the process and the main areas are nice. Apartment size is bigger than other studios. The apartments themselves have not been updated this time yet. Amenities are getting better. Pool, family room, they added a new area in the dinning room for happy hour/gatherings.
