I attended an open house our at NewForest Estates, I was not ready to move in yet when my best friend of over thirty years informed me she was moving back to San Antonio. I informed her that I had the perfect place for her to move into. She loved her new apartment and the help. When I was ready I also moved in and I have been here one year. I love to eat my meals with my friend and I am glad that we do not have to drive anywhere to see each other. I am safe here and the best part is I do not have to cook! The staff is nice and helpful. There is transportation outings if I need to get anything.

I was in the process of moving back to San Antonio when my friend Pat [removed] had just had a tour at NewForest Estates and told me it was the perfect place for me. The funny part was she was not ready to move in herself. I had a tour of the community and Pat my friend of over thirty years was correct! I love everything about my new home. I made the mistake of leaving it once and regretted it. I missed the good service and my apartment. It did not take me long to move back. My friend Pat has now moved in also. It's great having her here with me.

I love everything about NewForest Estates. There is always something to do. Food is good. Activities are great. I love the Activity Director Brenda, she does a great job. I also love Randy [removed and Michael [removed]. All the staff is so helpful here. There is not one person in this community that I do not like. My daughter tried to get me to move out and move in with her, but I refused because I am happy and content here.

I love living here. I am very content with my apartment. All of the staff is very helpful and that's what makes us happy here. I am happy and active here. I love the music socials, the party themes are great. It's just wonderful here.

I just had my 104th Birthday Celebration at Pacifica @ NewForest Estates. It was a wonderful party! I received over 104 birthday cards from friends, managers and staff. I was overwhelmed with the party. I love living here! They are always checking on you to see if you are okay and if I need anything. Great service! I want to thank Brenda, Activities Director for the special work and detail she did for my birthday party. My friends are still talking about the event. I have lived here three and a half years now and I still continue to make new friends daily.

I have been here only three months, and I was welcomed with open arms by the residents at my new home. I already belong to a card group. I play every night with my new friends and the food is really good. I love the activity music socials.

My daughter-in-law and two granddaughters visited two other communities and they all agree that Pacifica @ NewForest Estates was the right choice for me and it was! I have made so many new friends and the staff is very helpful. I feel safe here. There are a lot of activities to choose from. My favorite is exercises. I have lived at NewForest Estates three wonderful years and counting!

My husband and I started out together at Independent living. When the time came and he needed more help he was moved to assisted living where he continue to receive excellent care. I have been Pacifica @ NewForest Estates for ten years. I enjoy my friends and the activity programs provided for us. I feel safe and happy here. Housekeeping does a great job with my apartment.

A place for Mom helped me move here and I love my apartment, 3 and a half years later I still love it. I think the staff are great and the 3 meals a day really sold me . All the extras we get are beautiful. I really feel this is my home. I don't have any family here but I told Randy that if I needed to move in assisted living I would like to move here nowhere else.

So far our experience with The Atrium at Overland Park has been a very good one! It's our first experience with placing a loved one in a community like this so I don't have much to compare it to, but so far we haven't been disappointed! The staff here is friendly and professional, and they seem to take great care of the residents!

Chisholm Place is a very nice place. It is kind of small. I believe they have 36 people total. It is a single floor and easy to get around. The staff there is wonderful - very friendly and helpful.

Everything was great while my loved one was here. They took good care. I didn't have any major complaints. I would rate them very highly. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I would recommend them to others.

So far things are going pretty good. The food is pretty good so far. They have plenty of entertainment and activities. They have a bus that will take us out to the grocery stores, but I don't see if they have transportation to appointments or not, but that would be nice. I don't have any complaints so far.

We've had a very positive experience with Brookdale Irving! My loved one really seems to be settling in well and enjoying himself here, he has made a few friends already! The staff has been very helpful throughout the whole experience, and they've delivered on everything they promised during the touring process. I would recommend them to others looking into this sort of care in the area!

So far it's going pretty good. It's clean, but they have a lot of construction going on right now. The staff is very pleasant and very helpful. They have certain windows of time for meals, by the end of that window, the food will be a little cold. There is always something to do. I am really happy with it.

Right now I would say the only thing missing is more people who like to play a nice relaxing game and not too competitive. Otherwise it is about perfect for me. The apartment are a little on the small side but this is a positive for me as I have mobility issues and I can grab something if needed. The apartments have wonderfully high ceilings that make them look bigger and provide opportunity for creative decorating. The bathroom is a good size and has a nice walk-in shower. The facility is less than 15 yrs old and has nice gathering places such as the media center where you can watch a movie on the big screen TV with surround sound, play games, read a book or sit on the balcony to watch the sun set, They are truely pet friendly and have a nice fenced area for play. The laundry facilities are adequate but busy. I moved here from another retirement community and get more amenities for less money- 3 meals/day instead of the 2 at the old place (except Sat/Sun), daily trash pick up at my door, wkly housekeeping/linen service, fresh vegetables cooked just right and a full breakfast every morning if you want it and no dehydrated, reconstituted powdered eggs! I could go on but I'm running out of room. I'm getting so much more and better quality than the old place and at $400 less a month. The apartment may be smaller and the game players fewer in numbers but the move was definitely worth the effort. I didn't mention the incentives. I was lucky enough to catch a special that helped with moving expenses. Come check it out. I think you will be pleased too, They arent perfect but they are darn close,

If they don’t go up in price – it’s very reasonably priced. They have a good staff. It’s very clean, and priced right. The food is very good. I think everyone’s been real pleasant to deal with and helpful. There’s nothing to argue about. There is plenty of parking.

I was directed to Emeritus by A Place for Mom when I was searching for a place for an elder friend who had no family. Everyone was very helpful, understanding and patient - taking the time to listen to all my concerns about my friend. Within a week we had secured a suite for him at Emeritus. He seems to have adjusted well. I know he is eating better now. It was important to him to remain in the Irving area and he appears to be very happy in his new home. Emeritus has made his transition so easy and affordable.

We liked the Atriums very much except that it's independent living. The second floor is assisted living but mom had bypassed that - they weren't able to care for her at the level she needed. But we liked them very much.

The only significant negative about the food was the switch to the breakfast buffet instead of ordering Ala carte. Dad says most of the resident he has talked to do not like the buffet. Then regarding activities, Dad has been told that Jenks is too far to go to the men's group dinner, but the ladies go to Claremore. So there is a perceived discrepancy there.
