I received a wonderful tour from [name removed] today. She was very informative, very thorough, caring and just great! I hope she will always be here!

I have been volunteering with senior citizens for the past 5 years after my service in the military as a marine. I show up unannounced to the employees every time. The staff here offers the highest level of service to their residents. Management is always available to answer questions and they treat people better than most of the places I have visited in town.

I came to tour the community and everyone from the moment I walked in was friendly. I saw residents happy and speaking as they passed each other. The atmosphere seemed like home for the them. I felt it was a good match for my parents. [Name removed] was very helpful in showing and making my parents feel at ease.

My dad has been welcomed and taken care of when we really needed to place him quickly. [Name removed] has been great to work with during this transition. Would like to suggest transportation options be considered when vehicles are being serviced.

This community is full of people who genuinely care about their residents. I see upper management there on the weekends, the nurse on site almost 7 days a week and front desk staff who drop everything to help my mother. [Name removed] leads a wonderful team and I am happy to see the same faces over the years, management never changes! [Name removed] (business office) and [name removed] (maintenance) have been here as long as I've known [name removed]. From the moment I moved my mother in I knew I would finally have peace of mind and that is something I stand by nearly 5 years later.

Mom moves into NewForest Estates Independent Living soon from a very nice but different Independent Living complex so we have something to compare. Newforest offers more amenities and a bigger living space for several hundred dollars less each month. The staff is friendly, the complex and grounds are well maintained, and is located in a quiet area.

I have known of this community for many years now as I have had several tours with [name removed]. I have always noticed their personalized engagement with the residents which is what sets them apart from other communities I have toured over the years. [Name removed] and [name removed] were very helpful in the recent transition of my mother, this team is very detailed. Every question I had was answered and any sense of doubt that my mother had was eradicated. They all seem sincere from the director to the wonderful lady in the business office, [name removed]. I look forward to having my mother here!

I visited New Forest Estates by myself prior to taking my mom to visit. I was very pleased with the information I was given initially because it allowed me to determine whether or not this facility would be affordable for my mom. The executive director and sales person in training were very warm and receptive to all my concerns and answered all my questions. I was extremely impressed with the interactions I witnessed between the executive director, the sales person in training and other staff/employees and the residents we encountered during my tour. The residents were addressed by their name and some even hugged my "tour guides" along the way. It was apparent that the residents were happy and well cared for. It made my decision to place my mom there a little easier upon experiencing this type of atmosphere. I have no doubt that once my mom has moved in, any concerns we may have will be promptly addressed and every effort will be made to make her living arrangement there enjoyable. It was evident that the executive director and sales person in training love their jobs by the compassion and caring they showed their residents. How lucky can we be?

Hello and good morning! I had the opportunity to visit Newforest Estates last week. I enjoyed my visit with [name removed], who showed me the apartments, and then took me on a tour of the residence. It is a quiet location with a pool, serene garden in the center to sit and enjoy nature. The residence use to be a hotel, I have heard, therefore, it feels like you are on vacation in a quiet neighborhood. The staff were pleasant and because I was there at lunch time, the residents were having great smelling lunch. The area is gated to be secure and monitored. They change out the carpets and clean the apartments each time an apartment becomes available. This location is good in that it is closer to the VA than my dad’s house which is by Ingram Mall.

I provide Dental Services to numerous Senior Residential homes throughout San Antonio, TX and I would definitely recommend New Forest Estates as one of the best Senior Living homes! Their staff is attentive, always friendly, and they are compassionate about their residents getting top-quality care! Many of the residents that I have seen over the years have always stated how safe and comfortable they feel at New Forest. They express their love for Executive Director, [Name removed], who has a passion for making his residents feel special and receive the best care! This "hidden gem" is a wonderful place to be, and I am confident in referring family's loved ones to New Forest Estates!

This facility has gone well beyond our expectations. My aunt loves the food, management, service personnel and people. Although she doesn’t participate in many of the activities she is impressed with the opportunities they provide. As an outsider observation I feel they are one of the top providers of senior living facilities in the area. Hats off to every employee that teams up to make the place a five star facility. Everyone is polite, friendly and always speak to the residents by name. Amazing package!

My dad moved from independent living to Chisholm Place assisted living. He needed the assistance and care that is available at Chisholm Place. The staff is professional and caring. The food is very good and the dining room is nice. We have also appreciated the transportation to and from doctor's appointments. Chisholm Place is a great place for Dad.

Our first entry into Mackenzie Place was made so easy by our Sales Rep [name removed]. Her hospitality and gracious spirit was such a comfort. She was well prepared with her tour of the facility and all the information on services and related costs. All of the staff has been wonderful, very friendly and willing to do what was necessary to make Mom feel at home. Mom is enjoying all the activities, and [name removed] has worked hard to accommodate Mom's visual challenges and encourage her. Best decision ever for Mom and for all of us.

My Mother lives here. She has been here for a year. The staff is Awesome!!! Very one works hard to help residence with their needs and are very friendly. Upbeat and fun activities!! Thank you for taking care of my [name removed]

Mom had never been anywhere but home. While she is not very outgoing the staff have always tried to get her involved. It seems like the residents enjoy it there. I talked with several residents and they all had positive things to say about the facility and the staff.Everybody seems to be very happy with a lot of activities and laughter. Mom is level three and needs more care than most the other residents, and they have taken wonderful care of her despite her animosity about not being at home. Her dog is allowed to come visit anytime and that is moms high point each day. The food, while I have not eaten there, looks excellent and smells delicious. As this is our first time dealing with and facility of this nature, the staff has been very helpful and understanding. Mackenzie Place is not as expensive as a lot of other facilities , but it has been a perfect fit. I highly recommend Mackenzie place for any one living in or moving to the Lubbock area.

Friendly,caring and fun place to be. Wheelchair transportation and outside activities as well as inside We love it here. The staff listens and tries to please.

Unfortunately my Mother only was there for 2 months. After living in the same home for 50 years it was a huge change. She appreciated everything at the facility. I highly recommend Chisolm!

Cedarhurst of Woodland Hills is truly a first class facility and the amenities are outstanding. Walking into the facility you will immediately see how nice every aspect of this community is. There is not a better facility in the area! Although I could go on and on about the facility, that is not what makes Cedarhurst outstanding. Literally every staff member cares so deeply for their community residents. This staff loves and serves their residents as if they were their own family all the way from the maintenance staff, dining staff, concierges, activities director, wellness staff, office staff, business manager to the executive director. My mother was a founding member of Cedarhurst when it opened in June 2015 and it has been a complete blessing having my mom live in this community. People are what always make a difference with any organization and you could not ask for a better group of people to entrust with your parent’s care. I can’t thank every staff member enough for all that they have done and how they have loved and cared for my mom over the years! I highly recommend Cedarhurst of Woodland Hills!

Excellent care from every staff member! The team takes time out to address each resident and provides them with the level of care that is needed. I would definitely recommend NewForest Estates to family and friends.
