Watermark Retirement Communities

I am not the resident, so answering from a family members observation and comments received from my family member. I would give The Watermark a 4. Overall, a very nice facility with a good variety of activities, although there is not much that we've found for visually impaired individuals. Caregivers I've met are very nice and sweet, but don't always follow through on what they say they will do. Family member wishes there was less "hard" fried foods, less smothering with garlic gravies. Would like to get 1/2 baked potato occasionally or some yogurt. Room size is very adequate and cleaning staff does a good job of keeping it clean. I think the peer ambassadors for new residents needs some follow-up so staff and admin know if residents are adjusting and meeting people. I heard from my relative and a couple other residents that it's quite an adjustment.

Staff are great and always willing to help when needed. I am very happy at The Fountains. This is my home.

Sonrisa Independent Living is a 4 out of 5. It is an upscale, elegant facility. The apartments are quiet, spacious and feel homey. The residents at this independent facility are very friendly and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The open common areas are very attractive and inviting. The outdoor pool makes a lovely view, but is not used as much as I thought it would be. The food is okay but it could be improved upon, although there are many meal options. The staff is friendly, supportive and accommodating ... they are always eager to help in any way possible. The location is great ... it is close to The Galleria Mall so shopping of any kind is convenient and restaurants and grocery stores are close by if desired.

The staff are amazing (especially [name removed], [name removed]& [name removed]). But everyone I've encountered has been lovely. The rooms are great. Everything is clean and the food that I have tried has been delicious. I think the only thing I would say could be improved is timely communication.

welcoming environment. stayed for lunch. nicely presented, and tasted very good. The one bedroom apartments were to my liking. I was pleased with the washer and dryer being in the apt. There were many activities to choose from. there is transportation to and from your medical appointments. and days for shopping. Sitting areas outside were comfortable looking. Many places inside to keep you busy. (library, fitness, etc).

The staff and director are very compassionate and caring. Everyone knew my Dad by name from the first day. They come quickly when he needs them. It's not a skilled nursing facility so there are not a lot nurses to be able to handle medical concerns. For example, my Dad is diabetic so I worry about his feet and legs. I have asked several times that they make sure to put his compression socks on during the day, but it rarely happens so his legs always fill with fluid. There's no one checking him for minor scrapes either to prevent infection. My father does not like the food. The apartment size is adequate for his needs.

Maybe being a little bit more attentive in the memory unit, but I guess that would everybody would want

What they could improve on would be to hire more staff, however we would recommend The Fountains at Greenbriar to other families based on the experience so far.

I recently began my search and tours of various facilities, and this was my first stop. Thus I didn't have a baseline to compare. Skybridge is modern, full of activities, dining plan and optional restaurant dining and cafe. Exercise room, outside patio with grill. Multiple areas for social gatherings, or to sit and read. I saw a 1 bedroom unit. Sufficient living space, but not much closet/storage space. Pets are allowed (which I find to be a +)

The apartment has plenty of room. The food is good. There are plenty of activities to keep dad entertained.

Great looking facility. The apartments are a nice size. Lots of activities. Staff is responsive and very welcoming. Lots of opportunities for residents to socialize. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Poor quality and taste.

Great food, friendly staff, a little bit expensive, but it is Bellevue so you have to expect that. I have had a few minor complaints but they have mostly centered around confusion regarding whether mom's caretaker is responsible for something or if the staff is supposed to be doing something. I also need to better understand the billing for my mom's care, but that is likely my own problem since I am allowing for a flexible settling in period which hasn't fully locked in the care. Still, in contrast to the care that my mother in law gets at Auburn Meadows, Auburn Meadows staff seem to be more diligent recording how much time is spent helping each resident. Billing at the Watermark seems to be based upon an estimate at the beginning of the month that doesn't automatically get adjusted based upon what actually happens. When I complained about the first month, they made a significant adjustment, but I haven't taken the time to fully evaluate her second and third months yet to see.

Care services - some promises were made but were not followed through with in regards to care. Food - My mom reports the food is not great, meals are repeated for lunch and dinner, staff in dining room unfriendly.

The staff was enormously helpful with getting everything approved and set up prior to moving in. Once moved in, all communication seemed to cease. As there was no follow-up once settled. Our move-in coordinator was no longer employed with the company. Also, there is no convenient plan of care follow up as indicated during our interview for our Assisted Living Resident. We (the family) was told to just reach it to the doctor for any questions. Then the FOOD??. We have been told it is left over lunch pretty much with a little something different added. At times, the food is unrecognizable. When the dinning hall manager was confronted and concerns were expressed, he told us to just send him a text of when dinner was not satisfying. The menu is just basic and not good quality standards for the money paid and for someone that is relying on someone to provide quality food when you can't do it yourself. Lastly, there seems to be NO updates of current events (newsletters or meetings) for Assisted Living residents or families to chime in.

I recommend Watermark! Facility is very new, maybe a year & a half to 2 yrs old. Very luxurious decor. Caregivers r courteous & attentive & caring towards the residents. Between lunch & dinner 1 caregiver does educational stuff w/the residents, and exercise so the residents r engaged & not bored. Very good food! I've had my mom in 2 other memory care facilities. Compared to the other 2 this one is the best

The staff at blue Bell is for the most part very very good. Caring friendly on top of issues for the most part. I would clearly say a nine out of 10. [name removed], the Director Of Nursing is outstanding.

The staff is always very helpful. What is nice--everyone greets you by your name from day one. Made me feel that I mattered. Facility is clean and comfortable. There is no chef at this time. Hoping for someone who can cook. The ordering needs to be improved greatly. They are always out of food that is popular--need to increase the quantity.

Nice facility, good food, friendly staff and great location. It was newer and nicer. Downside its too expensive

I think we've been mostly disappointed in the food but pleased with most everything else so far.
