When our loved one first moved in all of the staff were great, but after our loved one being there we just felt they did not really care. They were very friendly to begin with but there was a lack of communication and when your loved one is there we feel that families need to hold them accountable. Now this was our families experience, we do encourage families to go check them out and see if they are suitable for their own loved ones. We did like how open, airy and light the community was.

The Phoenix at Albany tour was fairly decent not quite what we were expecting after reading into it. Overall though is a good candidate.

I toured Commonwealth Senior Living at Berryville, and it seemed to be rushed. I didn't get as much information here as I did at [community name removed], which is why I chose the other community.

They are often, short on staff a lot. They get soup most of the time in memory care. One day I was there they had a green veggie"chicken" salad. There were three EXTREMELY THIN and short pieces of chicken on top of the green salad. I laid them side by side and the three pieces didn't equal a half inch wide! They also have sandwiches a lot in Memory Care. The dining room is large. For what we're paying toilet paper should be provided and so should soap and basic essentials. Even cheap hotels give you those things and so do nursing homes. There is NOT always a nurse on duty but a MedTech and maybe an aide.

Basically it is not really suited to be a care facility for Alzheimers or dementia patients. They have wonder bracelets on them, but my father was able to walk out three times by going to another residents room through the enclosed patio. He had fallen and had to be taken to hospital. Care overall there was good, they though had basically called me and asked to have Dad moved from there as they were unable to guarantee his safety there. If they are in a wheel chair it may be okay, but if they are able to walk and roam around this may not be the best place for you're loved one's as there are some areas where they can get outside of the facility and possibly hurt or lost.

We toured Commonwealth Senior Living Stafford and the facility and community is smaller. WE kept reaching out to them and they would never return our calls or get back to us. I don't think that they were going to be able to handle my loved ones mobility issues.

I had a virtual visit of the community. The community had a courtyard, and it wasn't as big as another community we looked at.

We really liked Traditions. The facility was very nice, and we were considering them as an option. But the marketing person who we met with was a little brash, which really turned off one of our family members. Perhaps she‘s not indicative of the entire staff, but she was certainly the face of the facility for us that day. Also, their memory care was a separate, locked unit. And we were looking for a place that would give our loved one more free range while still remaining secure.

This community is going through a lot of transition at the time. At this point in time I would be careful to what your expectations are going into this community. It is strictly memory care and if there is any kind of personal care that is needed really search for all of your options. The room is beautiful and we are pleased with the community and the way that it looks. The rooms are nice and larger and not box like all of the other communities.

very nice but did not feel like they could handle my loved one. i needed a furnished room also and that was not an offer here. this was a nice location and very pretty it was just the fact that it was not furnished and i felt like they could not handle her.

There has been a change in chefs and this has caused some inconsistencies in the food from my understanding. There is a full calendar of activities for the residents to participate in, if they choose to. I would encourage you to visit and visit with the residents to see if this would be a good fit for your loved one.

We chose The Phoenix because they were the first ones who responded and they were also in a convenient location. We did not really get clear expectations on what to expect, so I think they could do a better job with the whole orientation process. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

I would recommend the community if your loved one was more independent. The community isn't able to provide a lot of options for low sodium diets or other dietary restrictions. There are several things that have fallen through the cracks.

A good place to live

While our loved one was there the staff members were very friendly. The activities were still pretty limited but they did have things like bingo and brain exercises. We do think the value for cost is right on par with the other communities we looked at.

The community is a little older but still pretty clean, the nursing staff is extremely friendly but the administrative staff are not so friendly. The care services are good, not excellent because we have had a few small issues that could of been a little more preventative. However, the nurses are fully staffing plenty of people on board which made us feel comfortable. Our loved one is not crazy about the food, but they will make exceptions and be accommodating and make her something else to eat. The activities are back on and wide open. During covid the activity directors would come to their rooms and work with them individually, now everyone is able to be together again.

This location is not somewhere you want to put your loved ones AT ALL !!

The assessment process was not thorough. They did not review all of the information on my loved one to make an appropriate determination of a good fit. And the executive director was not approachable and did not respond to my phone calls or emails.

The price is right and you get what you pay for. Communication is pretty good between the staff and the family and they do return calls quickly. I would recommend this community to others if the price is an issue for your family

The place is very nice, however very expensive. The prices are ala carte in addition to the $2800 rent. The folks that showed us around also just didn’t fit our personalities. I felt they were stuffy. They also werent accommodating with anything we asked. Everything had a fee.
