Viva Senior Living

I currently have both my mother and my father living at Viva Senior Living. Mom’s in Personal Care and Dad’s in Memory Care. I moved them to Viva from a different facility because of Viva’s home-like qualities. When I toured Viva, it was apparent both the residents and the staff were happy and enjoying their time there. And when the tour went through the dining area, it smelled wonderful, like a home cooked meal! They handle all of my parents needs, including prescription medication management (at home, they were always getting their pills mixed up and missing doses), assistance with daily tasks like dressing and bathing, rides to doctors appointments, and anything else that arises. I feel they go the extra mile to make the residents feel at home. I highly recommend Viva for your loved ones if they find they need some extra help. P.S. They have a fantastic activities director that keeps the residents engaged in fun games and entertainment!

With the type of dementia, my grandfather has, the staff has been wonderful and dealing with his temperaments, and I couldn’t ask for better employees at Viva Senior Living .[names removed]have gone way above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that my grandfather is taking care of. It is clean and the activities are great. Very reassuring that my grandfather is safe and well taken care of.

My father moved to Viva in [date removed]. He was welcomed with open arms from day one. I am so thankful for the amazing staff at Viva. I know that my father and the rest of the residents are in good and caring hands. Thank you Viva!! You deserve 10-stars.

We were astounded that all aspects of the move went without any glitches. [name removed]was wonderful to work with. She saw that nothing went wrong. Even went to the doctor’s office to see that paperwork was completed.

Our loved one really liked Canterfield and the people and the nurses. The double room is excellent. The meals are not the best, but they really are trying to get their food program in order but hiring is difficult.

Average price here. Cardinal Senior Living Communities is Not a bad place. They need more staff, but that is every where. The staff are friendly and look after my mom. The food is good. There are wonderful activities and holidays events. And she is happy with her room.

Oak Pointe has been a blessing for my father since he lost his wife/our mom. He can be as social as he wants to be, when he wants to be. We've noticed an improvement in his attitude and well being since he move here in [date removed]. He's happy and gladly admits that mom knew best when she said that he belonged in a place to help him be comfortable and taken care of if she couldn't do it; I wish we found it before she passed away because she would have been happy here. We/his children can't be with him all of the time, and now don't worry about him falling and not being able to get up or forgetting to take his meds. When I visit, I often find him playing cards or chatting with others by the Keurig. The layout is great to get some exercise. They have recumbent bikes for residents use. I recommend this facility to anyone that is in a similar situation. It's not home, but it's a very close second (maybe better because he doesn't have to cook/clean!).

My mother is a resident of Heritage Hill Senior Community. In her words..... "The staff is so nice and caring. The food is really good. And the best part is all the activities I can be a part of." Hearing this makes me feel confident that she is being well taken care of. The cost to live at Heritage Hill is well within her budget and that was one of the important factors in choosing Heritage Hill Senior Community.

The staff is always warm and welcoming my to visiting family members. They take care of our family member with such care. Providing all they need to be well and live as independent as possible. We love it there.

We were very happy with The Terrace at Chestnut Hill, we highly recommend it. I did not personally attend any meals or activities there. We were happy with the cost.

We are so pleased with our experience with Commonwealth. They truly care for my mom. They are very communicative and involve the families. We have lots of family meals. She attends many activities. The staff is always friendly. We have been thoroughly pleased with her placement at Commonwealth.

Viva Senior Living at Harrisburg has helped my dad and I throughout this process so well. You definitely feel like family with them.

The experience has been excellent. We picked this community because it was voted Best independent Living, and the cost, outdoor enclosed deck, and good food.

Heritage Hill is a top notch facility ! My father is a resident in their secure Shepherd’s Garden unit and I could not be happier with the fantastic care he has received since he has moved in. He is calm, content and very happy. He is always clean and well groomed, he loves the food, his room is always immaculate and his laundry is done daily. It was a very bumpy road getting him into the right facility (he had previously been in two other facilities where his care and safety were wholly inadequate). I thankfully have no concerns now regarding his care or safety. The staff genuinely loves and cares for him as if he were their own family member. Moving my dad into Heritage Hill is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have had interactions with the entire staff including the Director, the nursing staff, the housekeeping staff, the direct care staff, the kitchen staff, the marketing team etc. and every single person is beyond wonderful. Thank you Heritage Hill!

My mother-in-law is very happy at The Terrace and she is not easy to please. We were impressed when we visited with the facility and the staff. Lots of activities for the residents. Highly recommend The Terrace.

This is my mother’s 3rd Assisted Living facility. It’s not easy for seniors to move and to change, but Traditions makes it as easy as possible. Lots of pleasant, responsive staff, loads of activities and entertainment, and day trips to stores to keep mom happy. Gentle transition to secure unit if needed and hospice services as required. Mom is living out her days in my neighborhood, close to her kids and grandkids, and great grandkids, who all visit regularly. She can remain safe, secure, and cared for while we can work, travel, and care for our families too. Overall, a good fit!

Staff was very helpful and flexible. They provided good care for my father-in-law. The room was large and comfortable. The administration staff was wonderful to work with. I was pleased with the facility,

All 5.... my sister-in-law initially went to another facility and it did not have a secure unit. Luckily, we called a place for mom and was given a few references and one of them was Heritage Hill and we couldn't be more pleased. Everything is well done and my sister-in-law is well taken care of and my brother has peace. The facility is clean, organized, well run. People are accountable. Staff are understanding and knowledgeable and most have been there for a while. Proof of good management. Invested in patients.

My Mom has had a great experience. She is in the memory care unity and [name removed] has been amazing to not only her but the family and has worked with us to guide her into her new residence. We really appreciate the time she spent with us and wanted to thank her for those efforts. The staff has been kind and helpful and [name removed] walked us through all the specifics and has always been there to guide us and answer any questions. We highly recommend Traditions.
