Vitality Living

I am currently a resident at Aspire at West End. It's a very nice place, but too expensive.

I picked it because it was less expensive. I would tell a friend that it was a very good place to live but that you would have to be extra patient with the meal. I moved out because it was a little out of my range financially. But it was still a good value for the money I thought.

I do highly recommend the facility. The move in process was easy. Nursing staff and housekeeping are great. Anytime I've had an issue, they are extremely willing to fix it. The only real issue she has is the food has gone down hill since she's been there. Everyone complains about it. Also there aren't enough servers on the weekends to accommodate. Other than that, she is thrilled. It is clean, they have completely updated the interior with new paint, flooring, furniture. It's very nice.

I would tell a friend the facility has a clean, safe, comfortable appearance with caring staff.[name removed] (was the Director then, unsure if she is still there) was wonderful, as well as the ancillary staff I came in contact with. My mother felt safe there and had most needs met in a timely fashion. She wasn't overly impressed with the meals however I sat with her at several and the menu/meals I saw looked just fine, so that may have merely been a preference thing. My mother was in the hospital recovering from a surgery when my sister and I were tasked with finding a respite option for our mother (she was unable to go home with 24hr care for safety reasons). We chose The Hearth/Vitality as it was the closest option for both of us, at the time had the best package pricing wise, and [name removed] the Director made us feel comfortable and at peace when meeting with her regarding the need for our mother's stay.

The facility is close to restaurants and other businesses that you need. The hospital is 3 minutes away. All of my doctors are close also. It's 20 minutes from the town of Murfreesboro which is a fairly large town. The people are friendly and treat you well.

Most of the staff has been wonderful, especially [name removed, [name removed] and [name removed]. My dad had an incident where he needed someone right away and he had pressed his emergency button and it took them quite a long time but we brought it to the attention of everyone and I believe it's been much better. What I have seen of the food looks and smells great. My dad is a picky eater so it's hard to go by him. They are redoing a lot there like painting and new flooring, etc.

Calls/messages aren't returned or addressed very quickly, if at all. Mom's aides are wonderful. Her meds are dispensed well. [name removed] with Maintenance is very accommodating. The food is VERY good. The fact that mom didn't have to go to memory care at this time, reasonable price, assistance that was part of the price were main reasons we chose Vitality Court. I would recommend them. There are going to be issues at ANY facility.

Overall Traditions of Smyrna is a very nice place. It is very clean and friendly. Care of the residents is their top priority. I know that they are working on making some changes to the food.

Everything has been good, but it is very expensive. They have great staff. They have been A little lax in cleaning residents' rooms. Overall I would recommend Vitality Living Springdale to others looking for care.

The staff is very helpful and patient. The housekeeping is excellent. The facility is kept very clean. The meals are very good. Mom is very happy there and I would highly recommend the facility to others.

THE SEVICES PROVIDED ARE VERY GOOD. WE HAVE A WONDERFUL STAFF IN THE ACTIVITIES AREA. SOMTHING FOR ALL DIFFERENT INTERESTS. THEY PROVIDE A MONTHLY SCHEDULE OF ALL ACTIVITES. EACH DAY IS LISTED WITH ACTIVITES AND TIMES. THIS IS A FAMILY TYPE OF ENVIRONMENT. ALL OTHER PROVIDED SERVICES ARE ADEQUATE TO MEET DAILY LIVING NEEDS.

Before coming into Vitality Living I had medical issues, but after moving in I was taken care of well by the kind staff. Compliments to the executive director for running a tight shift.

What we like the most about the Vitality Living community is their ability of contact to get update on my family member during her respite stay. We would recommend this community to other families.

After visiting several assisted living communities my family and I chose Vitality Arlington for its prime location, the caretakers to residents ratio, greeting personnel, willingness of management to accommodate my move, and the value for the services provided. The wellness center staff is alert and aware of the residents’ needs. Management knows each resident by name. I do not make it a habit to write reviews, but this community has been good for my recovery and I want to share that with others.

The initial communications from tour scheduling to move in was a bit disjointed, we were left a bit confused initially but it all came together in the end. The location is ideal, it's close to our home and offers lots of outside spaces to explore when visiting; the activities coordinator is always present and engaged when we visit; the Wellness director has communicated well; and there is a lovely outdoor courtyard. We chose Vitality because it fit the criteria as closely as possible for the most beneficial and comfortable environment for our loved one.

My experience has gone well. I have been able to talk to mgmt about my concerns and the staff has been available. The full time aides have been helpful too. The facility is located near family and its brand new.

I've been a resident for 23 months. Because I haven't lived in any other unassisted, senior living residence, I cannot fairly compare it. Overall the people, facilities, food and other accommodations are good. Most of, but not all the residents, have some relationship to Woodbridge. Being from NYC, before living in Northern VA, to me, Woodbridge is not my favorite place to live.

The facilities are brand new and very modern. The assisted living facility rooms are larger and more spacious than other older ALFs. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

It's quite lively, the residents are often out in the community spaces, the staff is wildly friendly and helpful, the dining room has many options and its staff are keyed into each person's special needs for meals. That's a significant feat, especially since food becomes the center of so many residents' interests. An exception would be the busy people in charge of the caregivers who tend to be not as helpful for family members. Another thing that bothers me is that there is little communication about her care or needs from staff, and little follow-up when a concern is raised.

We were there for a very short period of time less than 2 months. the majority of this time mom had been placed in hospice care with Compassus. The things we liked most was we were told there would be a nurse on duty 24 hrs a day in moms unit. There were only 10 residents in moms unit. The layout of the facility. It was very open, the living area and dining room was located in the center and all of the residents rooms surrounded the dining and living room. there were no long halls.
