Vitality Living

Very nice people and a clean facility. My mother is now a resident of Aspen Village and I'm hoping she will be happy there. She has met some of the residents there and seems to be enjoying herself. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I am a little concerned about security.

I toured for my mom. It is just like her apartment. She felt very comfortable and was excited about all the activities and outings, especially the Saturday shopping with the ladies! We are seriously considering it after the holidays!

i love everything! so many activities and great happy hours. i love bingo and we play 6 days a week!

My only regret about moving here is that I didn't do it sooner. Every staff member is not only competent and helpful but without exception is friendly and more than willing to do whatever is needed. Most of the residents are friendly, too, but those who are never satisfied with anything just make the rest of us look better!

The Gardens was one of the suggestions from the advisor and turned out to be just what we were looking for. They responded very quickly and once the decision was made my mother was moved in lest than two days.

Staff is usually very helpful - a lot of repairs going on - building that was damaged by the tornado has finally been repaired and a lot of new persons have been housed there as well as some who were in the building but were in independent living have been moved to new spaces. A lot of changes going on here right now!

Seabrook memory care has been a good choice for our family. The facility is clean and well maintained and the apartments are a nice size. The staff is overall very friendly, caring and responsive. They made a difficult move in day as stress free as possible and have continued to provide a nice experience for us. I wish memory care had a bit more in the way of engagement and activities.

Overall we (my Brother, my Dad and I) were happy with Vitality Living Lake Forest. It was clean, nicely decorated, quiet and friendly. They hold events and keep family and clients informed of these events as needed. My Dad attended a movie once and seemed to really enjoy it. People helped him get in to and out of the chair at their theater. He as quite pleased. Whenever I called to find out something about my Dad (I live in NY and had trouble getting in touch with him a couple of times, plus a few other easy issues), the person at the desk was always helpful and kind. My Dad liked the food - considering he was picky with what he ate this was huge. The nursing care was good but when he arrived at Vitality he was on Hospice (and remained on Hospice for the rest of his time there), it was a little confusing with the coordination of who attended to my Dad, what they did for him and how often. Once my brother called the issue was resolved. My Dad wasn't good at advocating for himself so family needed to step in. When he had an emergency (skin tare with a lot of bleeding) the nurse on the premise was available quickly to sort things out. The only complaint my Dad ever had was that he had to wait for someone to take him to the dining room in a wheelchair and then wait again to go back to his room. He truly only lost his independence in November (before going to Vitality). He never really adjusted to the idea of needing the wheelchair all the time to get around. We would recommend Vitality Living Lake Forest. Considering I couldn't be there when he passed, I believe he was in the best place he could have been for that moment. I now realize I never thanked them for the care they gave my Dad. Everyone deserves a special thank you from us.

The apartments are very nice. Staff is nice. There are some staff shortages due to stated Corporate direction. Food has been hit or miss. Some meals are served on paper plates. Some times the food is not properly warmed or kept heated until served. The house keeping staff are excellent. Services and programs are good and well run.

I’ve been here about a month. All the staff, including the leadership team, try very hard to do their best. However, they are challenged by significant Employee turnover, especially the servers in the dining room. There were problems with my apartment when I moved in, so I can’t say that my apartment was move-in ready. The ownership of has changed and recent cost cutting measures are attributed to corporate policy. Aspire offers many activities. The other residents are both cordial and interesting folks I’m glad I decided to move here.

Lots of recent turnover in kitchen staff which has caused problems with food quality and dining experience. I would recommend the community to others

The facility was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Spring Hill is quite busy, but if you're inside, living there, you don't see that. The price is higher than the [community removed]. Maybe it's a case of getting what you pay for, but when you are on a budget, you have to make compromises.

Staff shortages, especially in the dining room, making meal service take longer. They need a new director; not sure if they have hired someone yet. Often her room is not cleaned when scheduled due to staff shortage. Residents are friendly, and she has made new friends. Residents are offered many opportunities to participate in activities, both at the facility and through "field trips." Although there are still staff shortages, she is happy and feels sate there. Yes, I would recommend Vitality to others.

Can I just say that the Memory Care Director is amazing!!! She cares so much for the patients and it shows!. She has so many great activities planned for them! I do wish there was someone there to do activities on the days she is not there. So their routines would be consistent. As for the food, I have been there several times and it seems like the Memory Care side doesn't have enough food... or drink. They should be getting enough because they do pay the most each month. I really like the consistency with the nurses... this helps the patients to trust them and less stress on the patient.

The room size was great for chair, double bed dresser tv and other little table, they kept everything clean. There needed to be in my opinion more activities for the people to keep them alert. They good good meals and snacks. The staff were very kind to the residents as I saw and I think they could have used more staff with the number of residents needing help. My mother spent 13 months there before she passed and they were good to her to the end.

Overall, we have been very pleased with the facility. The care staff and med techs are phenomenal. They are very sweet, genuinely caring, and seem to truly care about the residents. The food is really good, with two lunch specials and two dinner specials each day. There is also an everyday menu with plenty of additional options if you don’t want one of the specials. The entire facility appears to be very clean from what I have seen, and the residents seem genuinely happy and well cared for. The apartments are also a great size—cute and comfortable, not too big and not too small. My only complaint would be communication with the nursing staff and administration. This is an area where I feel there could be some improvement.

Overall, we've had a positive experience. The staff is friendly and caring, and the rooms offer a good amount of floor space. The community is generally very clean, although there is occasionally an odor in the hallways. One of the highlights is the activity program during the week-there are plenty of engaging activities Monday through Friday to keep residents involved. The weekends are a bit quieter and could benefit from more activity options. The food is average overall, and weekend dinners are often simple sandwiches, so a little more variety would be appreciated.

The caregivers were kind, but the facility often seemed understaffed, which made it difficult for residents to receive timely attention. The food was fair, and the overall cleanliness was also fair. At the end of the day, no one will ever care for your loved one the way you do, so it's important to stay involved and advocate for their needs.

Overall, my experience has been very positive. The staff is excellent, and the activities are enjoyable. The food is very good, and the community is very clean. The room/apartment size is also very good. Overall, I have been very happy with my experience. I would recommend the community to others who are searching for a senior living community.
