Vitality Living

The staff have been wonderful. We were very apprehensive about putting our Father in a home. He is in the memory care. They keep him very active. He actually participates and seems to enjoy it. He seems to be thriving. So far so good!

So far, we really like the building and also the staff. The people here are really nice and this is a nice, clean facility. The level of care is excellent, the activities are fun and appropriate, and the kitchen staff prepares excellent meals.

The grounds at Atria St. Matthews were really nice. My ability to come and go to visit was very convenient. I could come in any time and see her. The complaint that I would have is they talked about implementing all these services and that never happened before she died. Part of the implementation was getting therapies so she could get stronger so she could get a bath. 2 or 3 weeks in they decided she would just get sponge baths. When she went in the hospital 2 or 3 days before she died it was clear she wasn't getting cleaned in a lot of areas. It was too late to be talking about all that. If they realized that they couldn't fully bathe her they should have sponge bathed her a lot sooner. Other than that I think things would have been pretty good there. I think the were responsive for the most part and things would have been good if she would have lived longer. When she died they were very caring.

I have been very pleased with them. I have been very pleased with their introductory program. They had ambassadors for the first week. They continue to encourage her for activities. They are so encouraging anytime I go in. They have meetings to address questions, with staff, residents, and family. The residents have been extremely nice to my mom. The food has been excellent, they have a wide variety with menus on the table, and grill you can order from. Even the waitstaff have been really good, and attentive. The room gets taken care of twice a week. The medication management seems to be smooth, and they are communicative. They are very quick to respond to a button, and again very communicative. One of the best things was having the option of a one bedroom apartment, not just a studio, so she doesn't feel like she is in a care facility. It's very bright and they have a courtyard. The third floor has a higher level of care. They have beautiful sitting rooms at the end of each hall, so there is a nice place to socialize. They have a happy hour, and a karaoke singer.

The apartments are very nice and very cozy and they do a good job in keeping them clean. The laundry service is excellent. And this isn't a complaint about all the residents, but my father talks about the food. I would like to see an improvement in the food. Overall it's a really nice place, and they are convenient and considerate to us.

Overall our experience with Aspen Village at Lost Mountain has been a good one! The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff are friendly and professional for the most part. They also do a great job with the food! My only concern is that since we moved our loved one in there has been a bit of staff turnover, and not all of the new people are the quality we were hoping for.

Overall I would say things have gone well so far at Aspen Village! They've been very consistent when it comes to assisting my loved one with medication, movement assistance, bathing, etc. The staff here are very friendly, and it is a very professional environment. One area they could stand to improve, however, is the food.

My loved one has been here for about A month. She loves it. They show up to give her a bath and give her medicine. We are happy with everything. It has been great. My overall rating of this property is 4 1/2 stars. I would recommend the Emeritus at Pleasant Hills. This is a nice community. They are remodeling it so It will be even nicer. It is also very clean and have wonderful staff. The staff and residents are kind.

My husband & I enjoyed every moment of our stay. We could not have asked for anything more. The friendly people & staff. The food, The entertainment everything was great.. We would recommend everyone to go there.

Mom has been at Atria Lake Forest for over two years and feels most welcome and comfortable at this ALF. The staff are very professional and kind. Solid, consistent performance, Overall, many thumbs up!

Atria Evergreen Woods has done an excellent job so far! It's a nice looking, clean facility, and the staff have all been friendly and professional. They seem to treat all of the residents with great respect, which is very important. The food in the assisted living and independent living sections is fantastic, although the food in the memory section seems to be a bit more standard fare.

The staff is really friendly. They are very clean. She gets enough food, but we feel like when we buy a meal, and they are out of half the stuff and they don't offer a replacement. The quality of the food would be a four. There seems to be something going on all day. They seem to take pretty good about keeping them interested and offering lots of activities. They could do a little better with the housekeeping, they don't throw garbage away unless it's in the can. The same goes with the laundry, she won't put it in the hamper, so they don't take it. We liked how clean and the way they treated each other and us. They weren't just sitting grumpy in a wheelchair. It was a very up atmosphere. You didn't walk by one employee that did smile or talk to you.

Atria was by far the best community in the area. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have lots of activities on their calendar and invited us to a few. Also the chef and the food was great, the food was shockingly good, it was very tasty and they had a great menu. I think the pricing could be different so everyone could be equal, that is something I would change. Overall it's a good community and this is definitely an option for my parents if/when the times comes.

They were very clean. They were wonderfully friendly. They did give him good care. They had a lot of activities when he wanted to get involved. He was a good eater and he ate everything they gave him. I chose this because I was looking for a memory care unit and they had that. I especially liked that he was involved with people with the same problems. They weren't mixed. They treated him well. I felt very comfortable leaving him because I knew they would take care of him, he was in good hands.

Very nice people and a clean facility. My mother is now a resident of Aspen Village and I'm hoping she will be happy there. She has met some of the residents there and seems to be enjoying herself. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I am a little concerned about security.

I toured for my mom. It is just like her apartment. She felt very comfortable and was excited about all the activities and outings, especially the Saturday shopping with the ladies! We are seriously considering it after the holidays!

i love everything! so many activities and great happy hours. i love bingo and we play 6 days a week!

My only regret about moving here is that I didn't do it sooner. Every staff member is not only competent and helpful but without exception is friendly and more than willing to do whatever is needed. Most of the residents are friendly, too, but those who are never satisfied with anything just make the rest of us look better!

The Gardens was one of the suggestions from the advisor and turned out to be just what we were looking for. They responded very quickly and once the decision was made my mother was moved in lest than two days.

Their activities director in the memory unit is fabulous! To note, though, the caregivers that are supposed to follow through with activities outside of the director's work hours don't always do that. Some of the caregivers could use education from the Therapy team in terms of how to best assist and cue the residence with mobility and ADLs. I think the residents could do a lot more, or keep doing a lot more if staff had more of such training. The unit and overall building is clean, well lit, and cheerful. Laundry gets done individually and regularly. Except for from the activities director, you need to hunt down, and sometimes ask multiple times about your loved one's medical/health/medication care and to get certain things done or to find out that things are not getting done. They do a fabulous job at getting your loved one to appointments and being there to pick them up to return them to Vitality.
