Atria Evergreen Woods has done an excellent job so far! It's a nice looking, clean facility, and the staff have all been friendly and professional. They seem to treat all of the residents with great respect, which is very important. The food in the assisted living and independent living sections is fantastic, although the food in the memory section seems to be a bit more standard fare.

The staff is really friendly. They are very clean. She gets enough food, but we feel like when we buy a meal, and they are out of half the stuff and they don't offer a replacement. The quality of the food would be a four. There seems to be something going on all day. They seem to take pretty good about keeping them interested and offering lots of activities. They could do a little better with the housekeeping, they don't throw garbage away unless it's in the can. The same goes with the laundry, she won't put it in the hamper, so they don't take it. We liked how clean and the way they treated each other and us. They weren't just sitting grumpy in a wheelchair. It was a very up atmosphere. You didn't walk by one employee that did smile or talk to you.

Atria was by far the best community in the area. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have lots of activities on their calendar and invited us to a few. Also the chef and the food was great, the food was shockingly good, it was very tasty and they had a great menu. I think the pricing could be different so everyone could be equal, that is something I would change. Overall it's a good community and this is definitely an option for my parents if/when the times comes.

They were very clean. They were wonderfully friendly. They did give him good care. They had a lot of activities when he wanted to get involved. He was a good eater and he ate everything they gave him. I chose this because I was looking for a memory care unit and they had that. I especially liked that he was involved with people with the same problems. They weren't mixed. They treated him well. I felt very comfortable leaving him because I knew they would take care of him, he was in good hands.

Very nice people and a clean facility. My mother is now a resident of Aspen Village and I'm hoping she will be happy there. She has met some of the residents there and seems to be enjoying herself. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I am a little concerned about security.

I toured for my mom. It is just like her apartment. She felt very comfortable and was excited about all the activities and outings, especially the Saturday shopping with the ladies! We are seriously considering it after the holidays!

i love everything! so many activities and great happy hours. i love bingo and we play 6 days a week!

My only regret about moving here is that I didn't do it sooner. Every staff member is not only competent and helpful but without exception is friendly and more than willing to do whatever is needed. Most of the residents are friendly, too, but those who are never satisfied with anything just make the rest of us look better!

I loved Emeritus from the first day we pulled into the parking lot. There seemed to be a lot of happy people walking around and the interior was very clean, bright, well-decorated, and welcoming. I also can't say enough good things about the staff from the directors to the dining staff and care givers. Everyone who works there goes out of their way to be kind and helpful. Everyone smiles a lot and treats the residents and guests with respect and courtesy. My family and I are very pleased with Mom's accommodations in a companion suite. The room is spacious, bright and just what she needs. I am also delighted that their are so many activities available for the residents. My mom has been at Emeritus for approximately 3 weeks and I can tell already that she really likes it and is enjoying all the socialization opportunities. P.S. We loved the good food and the great dining experience. Residents and guests are given choices and treated as if they were in a fine dining restaurant. We are really glad that we found Emeritus through the agency called A Place For Mom.

The Gardens was one of the suggestions from the advisor and turned out to be just what we were looking for. They responded very quickly and once the decision was made my mother was moved in lest than two days.

The staff have been AMAZING. Warm, Kind and Welcoming!!! Love everyone I have met so far. Always available to talk or be there to listen! Activity Director for Memory care, [name removed], is such a force!!! She is truly one of a kind!!!! The memory care is kept BUSY!!! The food is average at best and a continual complaint from my mom.

The facility is well maintained. The staff members are very accommodating and quick to respond to questions/issues.

Overall a great place to put your loved ones and yes, we would recommend The Berkeley at Short Pump to other families based on the experience so far.

The apt was what we needed. The help was very good and trust to do what we needed. The activities was interested and kept us busy not board. You could go to what you were interested in Not all things interested everyone. That would be a 4 also.

Staff is pleasant, seem to work hard. There is usually a number of activities during the day. My wife has colon issues and is very particular about what she can eat. For the most part she is pleased with the food. And when she can't eat what's on the menu, there is usually something (e.g. sandwich) they will make for her.

I believe these are accurate based on my experience and opinions. If you recommend Traditions of Smyrna to anyone please use my name to the management if they decide to move here. We have regular outings for lunch , ice cream shop visits, and coffee shop outings. They also take non-drivers to grocery stores, and a $[removed] food allowance is counted in your monthly rent and hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared for you until you use all your allowance. There is a Bistro in the building that will prepare most anything you would want. Each meal costs a certain amount that is subtracted from your monthly allowance until it's spent, you can still buy more if you want and it will be added to your next monthly payment. in this community if you don't have anything to do it's only because you don't want to do anything.

The name has been recently changed to The Berkeley at Short Pump. It is difficult to evaluate accurately with new management. However, they seem to be responsive to concerns. The care giving staff has been very good. The medication technicians have been very prompt. My two concerns are with housekeeping and communication. I think my husbands room should be cleaned more thoroughly. Communication updates from the on site Dr and activities there haven't been good. This is one of the main goals for the manager. Too soon to tell how successful she will be.

My friend had to move from the first floor to the third floor because her first floor unit was near the greenhouse, AND an exterior door that was in the hallway next to her unit. This door made a lot of noise as folks used this door all throughout the day and night. It would've been nice to know that in advance of her moving into the first floor unit and save the cost of the second move.

The building is kept clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and caring. The apartments are quite roomy, so a person doesn't feel cramped. There are a number activities available each day to participate in based on your interests. There are trips to local restaurants and other outings. The meals offer some variety and also has a la carte items as an alternative. Overall, Vitality Living is a good place to live.
