Clean, good location.

Clean building, engaging staff would love for my mom to live in this community. Unfortunately we chose a different community due to location

We move to [name removed] to the Savannah Grand Assisted Living in July 2018. She has been well taken care of. Many issues at home, so we are very thankful to have a place like Savannah that we know [name removed]'s needs are met and she is well taken care of.

Clean, well maintained facility. Caring staff, family oriented environment. Excellent location with all your medical care and shopping if needed.

The staff have been helpful and supportive. The food is good and they do offer daily activities. The community is clean and the grounds are nice. I would recommend this community.

Great place, fantastic people to work with. I wish the home had more fresh veges at meals not just salads, and different kinds of meat (steak).

I thought this property was very pretty and had a lot of great amenities to offer there residents. The staff does a great job at keeping the community very clean and well maintained. Overall we had a very pleasant experience during our tour, it just was not the right location or fit for my mother.

My mom seems happy.Her care needs are not hands on, we aren't there yet but the staff members always knock on her door to tell her it's time for activities or bible study.She's made some new friends because I always see her with the same group when I visit. When I go up there everyone is so nice to us.The facility is older which I already knew.The floors in her room are original and have a musky odor. It was promised they would replace them. We were disappointed on moving day when they had not been changed that was in January and they still haven't been upgraded. The meals could use some improvement as well. Overall, it's a good community and I would recommend them.The environment is a good fit for my mom.

My mother in law is loving her stay at this community. The meals provided here are great. The only problem I've had is we have to remind the aids to make sure they lay her clothes out, because of they don't my mother in law will just wear the same thing over and over again. Also, she is in the memory care unit, and they don't take them up front very often since they only have 2 aids helping back there. My loved one loves to go to the church and listen to the preacher. Anytime we have had an issue, though, as soon as we bring it up they are quick to fix it. The major highlight to this community is that she's around people that are like her, they all watch tv and eat together. We are happy with how things are going.

My dad did not like the food at this community. I am not sure why they cannot get people that know how to cook to work in these communities. . The staff were nice and good with him. They kept the community clean.

My mom is happy with the community. She said that the meals are really good. At this time is not attending the activities as of yet. The value is good and the staff is helpful for my moms needs. Grounds and her room is always kept clean. All around a good community.

My in laws is doing well at this community. Everything is working out pretty good. We've had a problem with the staff not clean their room, but my husband is going to address that to the head director. The community looks nice and well-kept. The staff is nice and friendly. There are nice activities and good food. Overall everything is well and I would recommend it.

My mom has advanced Alzheimer's so I did not expect her to interact with the other residents or to participate in any of the activities that are offered. But I have observed her talking to some of the residents and the staff has even had some success in getting her to participate in a few activities! The coordinator of Savannah Grand does an excellent job and I feel comfortable taking any concerns I have to her. I would recommend this community and am grateful to A Place for Mom for their assistance.

Things are going fairly well with my mother at Savannah Grand. They do activities, bingo, cards, people come in and sing and play. The food is pretty good, and they try to accommodate and make her something else if she doesn't want any of the options.

They were having major staffing issues when my loved ones were here. The rooms were not getting cleaned and my family members were not getting the personal attention that they needed. I moved them elsewhere. It has potential, but they need to get more staff. The facility itself is isolated too.

I paid first months rent and deposit. I signed a contract in December. An apartment was not available at this time in December. Christmas came and no space for my loved one. January comes and we get a pro rated bill? My loved one never moved in until after this. I had made several calls unreturned and eventually came into the business office to discuss this. After numerous attempts, I finally was able to talk with the Business Manger at this location. She stated the bill "was in the contract". I did not understand how we could be billed and she said "I'm not gonna argue with you about it". She was very disrespectful, completely inappropriate and unprofessional. All because I said I didn't understand how they could bill me this pro rated amount. Now every time I come to visit my loved one, I get the cold shoulder and a lot of negative energy during my visits from upper management. The staff providing direct care with my loved one are amazing. They make this tough transition easier on us as well as her. We greatly appreciate their constant efforts.

Our family had an in person tour and the community looked great, but the location was just to far away for our family.

Food iffy Cleanliness average Workers need instruction

We checked my older cousin ( in his 80's)into the columns three years ago. His air unit went out the summer we checked him in. They put in a window unit that was not sufficient to cool the living area and his bedroom. The heat unit also didn't work and they gave him two electric heaters to warm his room. Because of his decline we had to move him to another facility at the beginning of the month we feel like we should have got some kind of payback since he was not there the full month. His room also flooded several times and all of this was reported with nothing being done.
