My mom has advanced Alzheimer's so I did not expect her to interact with the other residents or to participate in any of the activities that are offered. But I have observed her talking to some of the residents and the staff has even had some success in getting her to participate in a few activities! The coordinator of Savannah Grand does an excellent job and I feel comfortable taking any concerns I have to her. I would recommend this community and am grateful to A Place for Mom for their assistance.

They were having major staffing issues when my loved ones were here. The rooms were not getting cleaned and my family members were not getting the personal attention that they needed. I moved them elsewhere. It has potential, but they need to get more staff. The facility itself is isolated too.

I paid first months rent and deposit. I signed a contract in December. An apartment was not available at this time in December. Christmas came and no space for my loved one. January comes and we get a pro rated bill? My loved one never moved in until after this. I had made several calls unreturned and eventually came into the business office to discuss this. After numerous attempts, I finally was able to talk with the Business Manger at this location. She stated the bill "was in the contract". I did not understand how we could be billed and she said "I'm not gonna argue with you about it". She was very disrespectful, completely inappropriate and unprofessional. All because I said I didn't understand how they could bill me this pro rated amount. Now every time I come to visit my loved one, I get the cold shoulder and a lot of negative energy during my visits from upper management. The staff providing direct care with my loved one are amazing. They make this tough transition easier on us as well as her. We greatly appreciate their constant efforts.

Our family had an in person tour and the community looked great, but the location was just to far away for our family.

Food iffy Cleanliness average Workers need instruction

The atmosphere is friendly. The rooms are a little dated. The meals are not great. They're giving their elderly residents food like you would give to kids in elementary school. There are no healthy meals served. It's always something fried, or a hotdog, or a sandwich. As far as appearance, when you walk in it's always decorated really friendly and festive for the current holiday. They did help connect my loved one with some home health services. They have a lot of fun activities for the residents daily. And they bring in church members from the community to come in and do church services, Sunday school, and singing.

The staff talked a really really good game, but they could not follow through with their promises. We are still waiting for our refund after our loved ones passing and they keep giving me the run around saying they have sent it off but it has been weeks. A lot of inconsistencies. The house keeping was not the best, our loved ones belongings when we would come to visit were caked with dust. The staff did their best and the care our loved ones absolutely needed she got, but at times when she would ask for water or help the staff would just walk right on by. We do know they are understaffed like all other nursing homes.

I have been several years and am happy with activities. My one concern is meals which could be better. Also a good once a week cleaning of apartment including vacuuming every where. Activities are sufficient.

Never get my rooms cleaned. Food has been suffering lately. Most employees are very nice and friendly.

I think it's very nice. Once I get over the loss of my wife.

Savannah Grand is a nice facility, but I don't think they can offer the level of care or support that my in-laws are going to require. They do have staff on-site 24/7, however when asked if they had RNs on staff, the response was "some of them are CNAs". The focus seems to be more on filling vacant units rather than providing the absolute best care possible. I would be comfortable placing someone here if they were looking for more of an independent living option.

I had a good tour of this community. This is a nice facility with friendly people. The staff was kind, and helpful. My questions were answered. The community looked nice from what I saw. Everything was nice, and clean. My tour went well, and the experience was a nice one.

The community and staff were very nice but the facility was older and didn't meet our needs.

I was concerned about the staff, I believe the staff did not provide the level of care they should have. The rooms were average, and we didn't hear any complaints. I would not recommend this community to others

My Dad escaped the first night from memory care. He was found wet, cold and bruised down the road!!!!Then his cell phone disappeared. I went to visit him and he was severely dehydrated and septic! No one told me he wasn't doing well! When I got there the aid said yeah he hasn't eaten in a while!!!!
