This place is a complete fraud!! The only reason they have good reviews is because they had a contest on how many people can get good reviews for them. And in exchange they would win some lottery tickets.95% of the people who have put a review for this place are family members of employees and know absolutely nothing about what really is going on behind them closed doors!! You have staff members who ask family members for money. Staff members run the facility not administration! To where residents no personal business about staff members. Administration is rude conniving and just straight-out frauds!! This is not an assisted living facility, it's more like a skilled facility. You have residence who where accepted and lied to about the services they would get. But Lamar Court can't even properly staff their own facility. They leave the care of your loved ones in the hands of only one CNA and one nurse for 84 residents. Which the last time I knew was the legal with the Kansas State board of nursing. Awesome have even covered up reasons why residents have passed away in order to save their own behind by coaxing employees on what to say. Had a woman die because the CNA dropped her pushing her in her walker the wrong direction and ended up breaking her back and four places and eventually died. They are also in legally giving a residence cat insulin knowing that is outside their scope of practice and license. You have several employees who have continuously been verbally abuse by one person who Lamar Court keeps making excuses for!! I wouldn't leave my worst enemies family member in this facility nor trust them to take care of them for they might end up dead as well.

Both my parents have been in Church Creek during the years in Rehab and in Assisted Living. The facility is really slipping now. The rooms are not very clean, the staff is friendly, but not helpful and the care is sub-standard. The only shining star is [name removed] in Speech Therapy. If you are looking for a facility to really take care if your loved one, I suggest you look elsewhere.

I was a student here for clinicals and i do not advise sending your loved ones here if it is for a short amount of time. I saw first hand illegal activities of passing meds when the indivual was not liscended to. The care and respect for the patients is extremely low one of the lowest i’ve seen. If you want your loved ones to be respected, treated with the correct care, constantly looked after and even be in a healthy state do NOT send them here.

The management is very rude to the staff u see when walking in the door and visiting family and such. They are unapproachable, when you want to tell them something they brush it off when it comes to family and staff especially staff, you can see staff not saying bc they dont want to say anything bc they feel like they are nagging and interrupting their million breaks. NO day time nurse m-f. I would want my mom or dad to be at a place that there is a full time day nurse or night nurse not a cma filling in that place. I wanted to move my mom and dad there but the few times I came I got the push over like we will do what ever you want to get you in the door and then they get in the door and the level of care isnt what is promised. So I passed and went to another TRUE ASSISTED LIVING. Its not an ideal place to work nor would suggest having your loved ones move in unless your okay with them sitting in the same spot until its meal time or bed time. They cant keep people in any department. They bring in anyone and everyone, which is odd due to we are an assisted living not a long term or a daycare or skilled. That place is terrible. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.

my first hand experience is: though they constantly told my parents that they were unable to live independently together, to the point of alerting elder care abuse people when my father removed my mother from their paid for care, they were very wrong as my mother and father are now still together living independently in their own home and they left stratford commons in november 2017. They are much happier now. so remember to follow your heart for the care you desire and deserve

i had a bad experience with hope memory center, the place smells like urine, even my loved ones clothes, they have house keeping but they dont do much work at all, what brought my attention is that i see all the CNA's doing all the work, for ex: laundry, sweeping, moping, making bed, foldingd clothes, showers, washing dishses,taking the trash out, feeding and serving the residents, helping the RN's take vitals, ect. if the CNA's have all these duties how can they spend time with the residents, the residents sit in front of the t.v basicly all day, they do have an activity lady but that is not enough, and they are also short staffed, and management sucks! we would like to see more staff day through the night, to better protect and supervise our love ones, and the house keeping should clean this whole place up and do the laundrey every day! so the CNA"s can have more time for our love ones,its depressing to look at every day, this place is not worth $5000 a month! very disappointed....

If I could rate it zero stars, I would. My moms room was left unclean until a private pay nurse came and yelled at them for neglecting to clean her room and bathroom. The administration changes every few months and seems to have gotten worse each time. After experiencing a fall, my mother was taken to the hospital and then to rehab. When it was time for her to return home to Lamar court, i was told that she could not come back (they said this before reassessing her). They didn’t even have the courtesy of telling my mother directly (and she had been living there for seven+ years! They gave me two days to find her a new home. If you want honest people and good care, look elsewhere because you will not find it at Lamar court!

The rehab part of this facility is substandard. If you do not have a patient advocate to protect you, you enter this facility at your own risk. After a couple of days of late meds, no response to call button and other "little" issues involving care, it was time to relocate to another rehab facility. The fact that the interior of the rehab wing was beyond tired and in need of rehabilitation and cleaning was not a factor in leaving. It's all about patient care.

My family was told they would take care of my allergies to certain foods and other things. Baloney. I was made ill frequently. My daughter finally started bringing in food for me. They still would serve food containing things that I was allergic to. I had to give them my own laundry soap and softener but they did use them. I lost so much weight that my family had to "rescue" me. They still charged us for an entire month although they were told that if they didn't improve I would be leaving at the end of the month. They charged me for the next month even though they had sufficient warning.

We did not like the care from this community. the staff did not offer good care for her. The staff did not do what was ordered from the dr. Several times we were informed that is requested were not carried out. filled. We could not trust the staff to do what was needed. They did not answer the call button when my mom was needing assistance. The community was not clean and the carpets were very dirty and not clean. The staff did not keep up on cleaning. The menu was very bad and most of the meat that was offer was not good for any of the residents were able to eat what was offered. They did not respond when she needed care. I could not recommend this community for care to anyone.

They admitted my mom with false info from a non guardian who lied. After I and my mom made many requests for her discharge, they refused to listen. I had to get a sopeana from Gw Co to free her from the lock up! She witnessed visits from staff boyfriends at nite. Never allowed outside so the grand vision of space, rocking chairs os false. UTI and asthma never treated even tho she had her meds. She went from using a walker and cane to a wheelchair on 3 weeks! $5000 per month!? Put a camera on your elder until u can get them moved!

This was honestly the worst experience I've had in my life. I came in to look around one day around 5:00. There was definitely not enough RA's on the floor! It scared me because there had to be upwards of 50 residents in the facility but for some reason some of the workers said there was only two RA's. If management cannot find enough people to care for the residents then they do not need any more residents! I would not recommend this place of business!

Hardly worth a star. I once walked into this place and saw a girl popping meds while she was pushing the med cart. Saw residents in wheel chairs just sitting by themselves. The few nice employees they have, have nothing nice to say about the place either. Luckily I don't have any relatives here but a friend does and if it wasn't for this resident passing away I'm sure we would have pulled them out. This place makes rising sun look phenomenal!

Do not put your loved one here. Very bad experiience

They padded our monthly bill with [Removed] charges. We are seeking legal remediation. The executives of this place are not only incompetent and uncaring, they are also shysters.

The first impression I had was not good. The entire community smelled like urine and the person that took me on my tour did not seem concerned about this. There is carpet throughout the entire community. This was not the right place for my loved one.

Run don't walk away from this facility. It's filthy and run poorly with a revolving staff. If you want to provide all the care while they take your money; then this is the place for you!

My friend's mother DIED there. She was neglected seriously. Her mother had bruises on her that were "unexplained," and she was left in her own waste in a bed that was inappropriate for her at 96. My FATHER has been left unattended so much that he had FALLEN so many times that even the DOCTOR'S AT SPARROW HOSPITAL REFUSED TO SEND HIM BACK. I don't know (or really CARE) IF THE STAFF ARE INEXPERIENCED TO TOO BUSY, THESE ARE HUMAN BEINGS AND OUR LOVED ONES. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN, AND I THINK I AM GOING TO START THE PROCESS. When these "nurses" and "administrative staff" get to be in their 70s, 80s or 90s, THEY are going to receive the SAME TREATMENT THEY ALLOWED TO HAPPEN TO OTHER PEOPLE'S FAMILY. THEY SUCK.

My father-in-law had about ten falls while at Hope Memory Care Center. The last resulted in a broken hip. I would tell others that the community tried to cover up his falls. We are very disappointed. We also could not get them to change the food, they would puree his food.

When I moved my mother there about three years ago, it was a good place. Unfortunately new management came in and everything went downhill from there. There was a constant turnover of staff, and staff members became hard to find. Residents in the memory care were often left unattended and without activities. My mother's hearing aids were lost and nobody wanted to take responsibility. I have since moved her to another facility where she is receiving plenty of attention and professional care.
