Overall Vitalia is a really nice place. They are having staffing issues just like everyone else but they have an outside staffing company making up for the shortages - they are trying their hardest. The temporary staff are actually pretty good and my mom likes them a lot, she just wishes is was more consistent. I would recommend Vitalia to others.

When I received a bill the first of the year for the first time, I discovered I was charged for insurance. I had taken out my own policy for years. When I complained I had received no notice, I was told everyone has.

This was a wonderful community with great staff. This wasn't as roomy as another community.

This was a good community. They didn't have the floor we wanted, and it was too expensive than we wanted.

This is a very nice community. It is conveniently located to family to visit our loved one. The people are very friendly here. The communication with the staff is good. The only concern I would have is that I couldn't find anyone on the overnight shift to let them know what they needed to change for my loved one after a hospital visit. Overall, I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

We went with Vitalia Active Adult Community because it is a brand new facility and the location was close by. They just recently opened so they are still ironing some things out which is expected. The food started out really good but in the last few weeks I have been hearing more complaints from my mom. Overall so far is has been a good experience and we would for sure recommend.

The Cambridge was nice enough. It just wasn't the right fit for my loved one. It didn’t have the same good feeling as the place we chose.

Overall this is a good community but there is a staffing problem. The dining and food services do not have enough staff either and this is my only big complaint about this community. They have activities like bingo, and they really don't have to many other things or activities for the residents to do. The staff that they do have are excellent they just do not have enough staff.

The first week our loved one was there they were a little down and sad but within about a week they adjusted quite nicely and became super happy. Our loved one just loves the care givers. The staff members there are super friendly. It is a smaller place but not to small and they offer a good variety of things. We like how they have different levels of care packages. Based on the experience so far with University Senior Living we would recommend them to other families.

Right when we first walked in we were immediately impressed with the main gathering area, they have this lovely fireplace right in the middle of the room. It is just a very welcoming community. The lady we dealt with, we believe she was part of the sales and marketing team was just wonderful. They have a pretty even ration of men and women residents there. We really like going there and visiting, so we would say the experience is going just fine

They have a friendly staff at this community and it is comparable to an apartment living complex. Residents are fed three square meals a day on a daily basis. They are well taken care of . The only thing that I can say that I disagree with is that they should have somebody sit the medication out for the residents for no charge and not an outside company that is charging for it. I would like it more if this was included in the charges due to the conditions of the residents.

The staff are very friendly. The community is new and clean. They need more staff to be able to provide a higher level of consistent care. There is no main chef and the food is served cold. The main chef left because he was having to serve the food as well. My loved one is having to wait a long time for medications and bathing assistance. There are a lot of agency staff coming in as the community is unable to maintain regular staff.

This was a wonderful community with great staff. Quality service and take great care of my loved one. I would highly recommend the community. The only drawback was the monthly fee.

We struggled to find a place for my father in law who has dementia. He was in the hospital (2 separate) prior to finding The Madison. [name removed] was excellent to work with, giving us all the information we needed and working with us to get him moved in a timely fashion. [name removed[ expedited her evaluation which helped in getting him moved out of the hospital. It made a bad situation bearable and really quite easy. Thanks to the wonderful people at The Madison who make the community feel like family.

The biggest thing that we struggled a little with was communication between the head of nursing/wellness director, nursing staff, and follow-up from their on-site doctor/PA. Carriage Court wanted us to go through them for medical communication, and then there was just a breakdown of communication. I think they're experiencing staff shortages, like a lot of places, which contributed to the communication issues. I think they provided opportunities for activities. It just seemed like they had a changeover of staff in terms of the activities director, and during that period of time, there was a lull in what the residents were able to participate in. I'm' sure they were trying to find the right fit for the person for the job. The staff in general were really good. Everybody seemed very loving and caring toward my mom. We had a couple of little issues, but overall, it was above satisfactory.

It's worth it. They are good. They provide a variety of meal options. The staff are very helpful and welcoming.

The people that we dealt with were nice and helpful. I liked the cleaning lady. I only met her a few times but she made sure my loved ones room was fresh before my loved one moved in. My only complaint is potatoes and gravy was served often. Her room was on the corner and very pleasant. Anytime I needed help to get my loved ones mail, I never had any issues. I can't give them a 5 as there is always a need for improvement. The upper level had scooters and such in the hallways. They seemed like a hazard for my loved ones mobility issues if she moved on that level.

This is one of the top places in the Columbia area. I like the idea that the community has all care options in the community, from independent living to assisted living and then to memory care if necessary. The staff are great to work with if I have questions or concerns about my loved one. My loved one likes the food that is made available and I like that it is healthier for the residents.

The staff have been great. They're very polite, and the nurses are excellent. Overall it has been a very good transition for my loved one. I think they do a great job accommodating residents who tend to revert back. They have different stations throughout the building that help residents who are remembering their previous interests/professions/daily tasks.

We chose Vitalia Senior Residences because out of the facilities I toured, this one definitely felt like the best fit. The staff were good, I liked the administrator, and the layout is very nice. There is a community feel, feels like one big family. The common areas are very clean but they did not stay on top of cleaning the rooms, but they were very short staffed just like everybody else. I would recommend them to others looking, I think they will be great once they are properly staffed.
