The staff was very accommodating. The room needed just a few small fixes and the tv was not yet set up as requested upon move in. It would be so helpful if moving help was offered. We had family, so we were ok but if it were just my mom, I'm not sure how it would have gone. It's a small thing but as these transitions are often emotional and a bit sad at first, a welcome sign or small gesture like a welcome snack bag or something could lighten the atmosphere a bit. Overall, we were pleased.

Communication from management is often unclear and slow when issues come up. For example, I complained about the Wi-Fi, and while they said they understood the problem, nothing ever improved. The Wi-Fi service is terrible, and overall the concerns I raised were never properly addressed.

The place is wonderful. They just struggle with the food and having enough staff help.

Beautiful building and rooms. Good food. Nursing is attentive but they could use an extra nurse during the day in assisted living part of the facility

My overall experience upon moving to Vitalia is rated at 4 stars. I don't think 5's are logical as any moving situation has its pros and cons. Although several conversations took place prior to selection and much paperwork and documents were presented there was a period during which I felt overwhelmed. Adjusting to new surroundings while still trying to make it a home took priority. Learning the rules ie who to contact with questions could have been easily solved if a long time resident ( or committee) had been available as a potential source of info. Knowing who to contact is more than half the battle because as a newbie the last thing you want is to be labeled a problem. After settling in which took several weeks I am able to say I am satisfied with overall service. The staff is pleasant and friendly and there are plenty of opportunities to become socially active. I am making it my personal goal to try a variety of programs and to make as many new friends as possible.

My very first tour so I have nothing to compare to. My guide was knowledgeable and gracious. She invited me to come participate at some point to get a better feel as I get closer in chosing what I feel fits me best.

Floor staff were very good. Seemed like they couldn't hold on to their admin staff. Food was fine. Quality of care was very good. I felt my mother was safe there. Notable staff were nurse [name removed] at nurses station and [name removed]-Love who worked on the floor. [name removed] from Premiere Health was also very good. Reason for leaving was financial only.

The facilities seemed to be clean and organized. The staff seemed engaged with the occupants. We are early in our search but found the sales person knowledgeable and supportive.

Mostly, things are good there. The staff is nice and thoughtful. My father passed away last[Date Removed] and the support they gave my mom and the rest of the family was tremendous. There are plenty of activities for mom and she does almost all of them. The facilities are clean and the food service is good. The Princeton does struggle with communication sometimes. Mom had a fall and went to the ER as a precaution. I wasn't notified until hours later. There was a billing mix up after my father passed and we just got a bill for 4 months rent, after being told we had a credit each billing cycle. There have been a few medical things that have popped up that I only found out about because I initiated a meeting (I am PoA). But, they are nice people and try to fix the issues when they arise.

The full-time staff included a few good employees. However, in my experience, agency workers did not seem as invested and often appeared to be there just for the paycheck. Cleanliness was decent overall. I didn’t have many concerns about the room, but that was partly because my wife was wheelchair-bound and unable to create much mess, so there was less need for frequent cleaning.

The activities coordinator, [name removed], is amazing! You'll have to ask my Dad about improvement opportunities, but I do know his onboarding was pretty rough

Very nice facility; just not sure it would be a good fit for me. The fee charged for a 2nd occupant doesn't seem right. At this time I am not comfortable with the laundry arrangement or the inability to cook for myself if I want. But I do have other things to consider at this time and Mallard Point remains a high possibility. [name removed] was a great tour guide and I appreciate the time she gave me.

What we like the most about the community is that the aids and the nursing staff seem like they genuinely cared about Mom. Even though she was only there a short time

They are short staffed currently and things that are promised are not happening timely. The activities are very oriented to women and are not overly enticing. There are definitely ways they could engage their residents differently. I am hopeful with the spring and summer months coming it will change. The meals are not as good as as they originally promised and often take a very long time (understaffed). Overall these are opportunities to strengthen the community not reasons to leave. The executive director is very responsive however.

it was really an overall good experience, it's difficult to reach perfection. I would recommend to others.

The initial tour was good, and they painted a pretty picture. Then we moved my sister in and reality set in. Madison made too many promises they couldn't keep. I'm not saying anything is bad, but should do a better job of not promising the moon when they should know better.

Low quality of food is the main issue. They do a great job on their marketing/sales presentation, but I don't think they follow through on everything they describe. No coordination of activities in the TV room game such as big ball games or movies. The snack bar is poorly stocked and I have sense that there are probably not as many social activities as they initially described, but all-in-all it is a nice facility and they have treated our parents well.

The staff and other residents have been very welcoming. Move-in day was not smooth. The apartment wasn't ready for Mom, but they got busy and took care of everything very quickly. Mom loves her new apartment and living somewhere with people who share similar backgrounds and interests due to common age.

It's a beautiful facility with a lot of activities, nice menu and a clean nice sized room/ bathroom.

I would say 4 the people are always nice when I call or see them and very helpful. Dad seems to like the new cooks he says the food is better. The place always seems clean and well kepted.
