I really hoped that for the money we were paying it would have been a better experience. I wasn't able to participate in activities i was really sick. The meals were okay the community was just having trouble with the cook. It was a clean and up-kept. I really miss the staff they were very nice to nice and very attentive of my needs.

My mother has been there for two weeks and really likes it. Friday afternoons the Happy hour she really likes. The only thing I saw when I moved her in was a spot on the carpet but I used some spot remover and got it cleaned up. They also had to get a new refrigerator because the one in her room didn't close. The people are really friendly, they say hi to you in the hallways. I am glad I found this place for my mother until a later time when she may have to go into a nursing home because of onset of dementia. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a place which is safe and friendly for their loved ones.

My loved one is doing very well here at this community. I'am very pleased with all they have done for us. The community is very well maintained, they do a very good with keeping his room and the community nice and clean. He is really getting involved in the community, he enjoys happy hour. There are many activities offered for him to try. He is very pleased with the meals. I know he is being cared for very well. This is a community I would recommend.

This is a clean environment for my mom to stay. The community is more above than the last place. The staff are much more caring and accommodating. I really like them. It is a nice facility and the experience is good so far. My mom must be eating good because she has gained weight since being here!

My father hasn't made the move into this community. From the looks of things he will most likely have to stay home with me, but this was a nice community. I was going to be comfortable with the care they were going to be providing him with. From what I saw the community looked nice and well maintained. The staff was kind and friendly. This is a lovely community.

I was impressed with the care from the staff team. They were attentive and patient with my mom. The place looked tidy, clean, and open. They were in the process of changing rugs to the lower levels but it does has a home feeling. My mom liked eating breakfast only. The food was restaurant style and they provided great service. I would recommend to others.

My tour of this community was decent. It is a nice community, from what I saw everything seemed to be well maintained. They don't offer many accommodations. The staff was kind and friendly. They answered all my questions. It just wasn't the community for my brother. It was a good tour.

We spent most of our time talking about strategies for bringing up the "conversation" about leaving one's home to move into assisted living. Alisha was personable, relaxed and attentive to what I perceive to be my in-laws' primary needs and their resistance to change. The facility itself is small: only about 40-odd units consisting of studios, one bedroom apartments, and a very few units where two adjacent studios have been connected to make one larger unit for couples who need more space. I only got to see a one bedroom apt. It was quite small but I imagine would be adequate for one person or an extremely cozy couple. Overall RiverRun's common areas and hallways are clean, spacious and well-lit. No funky odors. I didn't see very many residents about, but being mid-afternoon perhaps many folks were in their apts resting. The employees I met appeared friendly, smiling and busy. This is the first visit AL place I have visited so far so I have nothing to compare. Also Alisha recommended visiting several places and narrowing it down before getting into the nuts and bolts of the specifics. Perhaps another visit during the morning or a mealtime will provide more insight into the residents' experiences. I appreciated Alisha's advice and the materials she provided. She's awesome!

This place appears to be always clean and maintained, I have no concerns. The staff are helpful and kind and care for Mom the best that they can. It seems like there is an outing every other week and activities through out the week. The food is really good with healthy, right-sized portions. I would recommend this community.

Within the first few hours of staying here, my dad somehow wandered off three times. The community and I realized we needed a more secure environment. This is not available here so I ended up staying with my dad for a few days to ensure he does not wander off. During my stay I took care of my dad most time time, even though I was in their community i feel like I could have received my support till we found a better fit for my dad. I did like the community but there was a lack of communication between me and the staff. It could have been a better, helpful experience.

Everyone is friendly, even the residents. It's very clean. They're in there at least twice a week. You can tell the moment you step visually and the aroma. The staff is attentive. Everything is going very well right now. The food seems to be good. My mom seems to like the food, no complaints!

Sara was very patient, diligent, and helpful with my fathers transition . The Staff is very responsive and understanding of my father's needs and concerns. Overall, a much better transition than I expected- we are very pleased.

My husband has Parkinsens, with some dementia recently added. Being too difficult to care for him in our home, Astor Place welcomed him. The staff is friendly and some have prior experience with those faced with dementia, which is very helpful. Needing assistance with many things, his level of care has been adjusted, so with "points added," be prepared for rising costs! Activities are slim. They are working on a new calendar and recently hired a new activity director. Hopefully, that helps the boredom I've seen. Overall cleanliness of the building is good. The individual rooms get cleaned weekly, laundry done as needed. If the resident isn't very mobile, and let's say, popcorn spills on the floor, it might not get picked up, as it's not time to vacuum. The garbage cans are emptied often though. I genially think the staff is kind to their residents.

Very happy with the workers. The management that came when this community changed owners, not as much.

I like the friends and safe environment here. New friends have made some move in plans. We have an activity director who helps to keep us active.

We have not made a permanent decision for Mom in regards to Cimarron Place but having the convenience of having her stay there from time to time has been great! The staff are all very nice and welcoming and anytime we go to visit there is always someone there to greet us. Mom has really enjoyed her short stays there and even made a really good friend that she enjoys her meals with and activities. We have not made the decision to keep Mom there permanently but if we had to this would definitely be the place for her. In the mean time we'll continue to utilize their services from time to time and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We toured here, and it was nice. It was in the top two. My parents chose the other one based on the layout of the rooms. It was a nice place, but we just felt this wasn't quite as good of a fit.

Very nice people, they take very good care of my father. My only complaint is for the money per month they should supply paper products for their residents.

I know this industry faces challenges every day with this segment of our community, and Parkhurst employees continue to go above and beyond their duties. I would like to see better wages for caregivers at the facilities and Less turnover. Also, I would like to see more $ put into quality food. No white bread, white rice, organic when possible.

Clean facility and staff eager to keep families and residents happy. They "bend" the policies and rules a bit and make it difficult for families who deal with a demented and agitated loved one. Knowing my mother keeps medicine and cleaning products in the room doesn't help the family when they know she shouldn't have either. Facility also needs someone consistently manning the front desk.
