The care staff at Wildflower Place are very nice and caring. The problem is the new management. I have never been so disrespected or talked to so rudely by anyone at this facility before until now. Not really sure what happened from the time the other Executive was there and now. I would not recommend anyone at this point to go there with their loved one until they can figure out how to resolve this issue.

I would definitely NOT recommend Bickford Senior Living at Raytown for your loved one. They have over promised and under delivered on every single issue that we have faced. They will tell you what you want to hear and then not follow through. Please do your research

SLEAZY COMPANY RIPPING MATURE ADULTS OFF. My father just received an annual renewal for $540 more per month. He is pretty self reliant and they have NO activities happening there. They sit around and wait for their three meals per day but there is NO justification for an additional increase of $540 per mo. Nothing is changing, they just raise their rates every year by that much!!! They are ripping these poor people on fixed incomes off! AWFUL people!

Worst facility in the state. Ran by goons. Envilant is corporate greed at its best. There are no activities, apts are dirty, the food is the worst. Management are clowns have no idea what they are doing. Employees walking out during their shifts, residents moving out weekly. The ED [name removed] is the WORST. THE residents pay HUGE money to live in filth, eat [language removed] food and be treated like they don't matter. Place should be shut down. Have unlicensed unexperienced employees working there. DO NOT put your loved one here.

This facility is very understaffed. They promise you things and they do not happen. They have some very devoted people but they can not take care of everybody. Nobody answers the phone and nobody on week-ends to help. Many times the halls smelled of urine. For the money you pay they should do more for the residents. The food was to be home cooked but I never found that to be true. The same things were served over and over. Food was usually cold and service was very slow. I would look at other places first for the money you pay and little service. Talk to the residents before you choose a place. Learned a lot from them after moved in.

MY sister lived at Cimarron around 6 weeks. We realized immediately some things we were told in our first visit was not true. There was no maintenance worker and her fridge did not work. She was told that they used a man from Big Spring and he would come if he had time. The carpet was dirty and had big stains and she was told that they did not have a working vacuum. There wasn't an activity director during her stay. Many mornings no staff was available to serve breakfast. The residents were allowed to roam the halls at night hollering, crying and banging on doors disrupting her sleep. After voicing our complaints several times with no positive response my sister moved out.

My mother was only under their care for four days. She ended up bruised and received substandard care. They claimed that they didn't trim nails (demanded that I do it), her tooth brush wasn't unpacked, her laundry wasn't done, she was only given water to drink( no other options), the foods she was offered were not finger foods (even though I told them that was the only type she was capable of eating), the intake person told me they would have no problem with the type of dementia she had but the director told me she should never have been excepted. To say that I am not happy is an understatement.

I placed my momma there in September and the fees were good. Staff nice. Next month, I got a bill for twice the fees. Director said momma calls a lot and care givers wasting their time with her. This is awful. I moved her with me and my special needs son - and I am still getting charged. I didn’t give enough notice. Well they didn’t give me ANY notice for the jacked up fees. This should be illegal.

This is the worst place! Very un clean. The employee turn over is horrible. Management staff are very unprofessional, rude, don't know the residents names, don't seem to care for the employees. From what I've seen the employees are not well trained! Most of them are very un clean. Seems like they hire anyone with a pulse. The food is horrible! There kitchen is filthy. Dinner is suposed To be at 5pm you will be lucky if u eat by 5:30, food is cold, caregivers cook don't use gloves or wash their hands. The only thing that place has going for them is the activities. The lady, [name removed] does a good job with the residents. She cares and does fun activities with them. As far as the lady that is the marketing person, if she would keep her nose out of the air she might be able to keep trying to take money and make empty promises to the elderly. Very sad place! The only words I have to say is NEGLECT! Run people do not put your loved ones here!

This facility is OK until you need quality care with a disability. I have been very disappointed in the turnaround is ridiculous in the staffing. Not going back.

My mother has lived at Cimarron Place almost a year. Her room and board rent is increasing. All of the residents are old and on a fixed income. As for my 94 year old mother this is quite a shock. How can this be? I am very disappointed. [Name removed]

Every time we would go my Father would need the diaper changed, as they didn't have enough people. Management was helping with dinner set-up and delivery of the food so between 5pm and 6pm - Good luck getting any help assistance or just proper discussions. Carpet was stained and a mess the turn-over rate of people was extremely high. Keep your loved ones out of this place as the chance for UTI is very high. Tried contacting Corporate but that was a complete joke, they dont care either as its all about the money. Sorry I ever got involved in this place but learned a valuable (but expensive) lesson.

Director is a quack. Aids are not trained thoroughly. Building needs serious updating. Food is terrible. Turnover rate is ridiculous. Company wants money money money.

its a shamble...staff turnover every 3-6 months. Terrible management. When there is bad management, the caregivers do what they want. Sometimes my mom got her meds, some times she didnt. My moms room had a horrible urine odor, and her hair was always dirty. She passed away recently, otherwise i would have moved her out.

Ridgeview Place is clean and tastefully decorated. However, based on my experience, there are two very important issues that may make it necessary for a resident to pack up and leave. The first involves resident care. The assisted living section promises residents that caregivers will answer a resident's call (by pressing a pendent call button) within 5 minutes. Residents face a 30 to 45 minute wait for a necessary or urgent issue to be addressed. After living at this facility for a while (approximately 10 - 12 months) points (additional monthly charges) start being added for care that supposedly is provided on a daily basis. But, in my experience, that care item or service item is not provided often enough to warrant the additional monthly increase. I personally believe this is unconscionable. Buyer Beware. Corporate Public Relations Department, please check into this.

Pictures of facility are very old! Carpet frayed and ruined, furniture stained and needs replacing, staff incompetent, massive turnover in staff. See for yourself!!!

It started off like a dream. The only reason I am giving it a .5 is due to [Removed], the sales woman. She honestly seemed wonderful. She knew all of the specifics that we needed for my Dad on how to obtain his prescriptions efficiently. [Removed] sent me flowers, which I thought was really nice, when my father was admitted to the hospital. She helped with scheduling another evaluation when needed. The day before the evaluation I called [Removed] to update her on my father’s condition and she reassured me that they would be able to help. [Removed] was optimistic about being able to take care of him and said that everything would be fine. She had me leave a check for the community fee as a visual, they would bill us per month for 3 months for the fee and they wouldn’t cash the check. I went back and forth for a bit with the ER and Kent place because of my father’s deteriorating condition and the ER saying the facility was not adequate for the care he needed. Kent Place rescheduled another evaluation. After filling out some of the paperwork for him to move in, I was forced to talk to the director due to a few discrepancies and she started yelling at me because I wasn’t willing to take over financial responsibility for my Dad in the event that he wasn’t able to pay his rent. After going back and forth like this for a while they said he could move in, even though the second evaluation hadn’t been done yet. The day of move in, my husband was ready to move my Dad’s things to Kent Place and suddenly I get a call from the ER saying that Kent Place wants to send ANOTHER evaluator. The week after I wrote the check for the community fee, I checked my account and found out that Kent Place cashed the check the DAY I wrote it when they said they wouldn’t. They took that money and then called my Dad’s friend who was at the ER with him and had him take over as the POA because I refused to move my Dad’s things in. After everything that happened, Kent Place said they would be prorating his rent and paying us back for the U-Haul (which they haven’t). After 35 days of him being there, I asked them why they cashed the check for the community fee the day I wrote it when it was supposed to only be a visual and I haven’t heard anything from them. I had to set him up for automated withdrawals for his rent and even after 2 months, they haven’t charged him because they won’t work with the VA or cash the checks the VA sends. I’ve tried talking with them and they won’t return my calls. The entire time talking with them, they told me not to worry about anything. I can’t even visit my Dad now because of how awkward they’ve made everything. They really don’t know what they’re doing and I don’t want anyone else to have to experience this.

Facility is well maintained, though I do not recommend. Company does not ensure the safety of people living in facility. Some staff are nice and friendly.

Make sure you know they can't handle Veterans. These people cashed a check for $2000 for community fees and then denied the ability to care for me leaving me without enough money to move in to a place that can take Veterans fiduciary payments.
