I had a good visit with the Shelle Stebleton at Preston Place. The facility was big and had a different look about it. I saw some things I liked but I felt I liked McDermott Crossing better.

Things have been going very well at Verena! My loved one seems very happy here! It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and is a very open and airy feeling community. The staff have all been very friendly, and they do a great job with the care and amenities they provide the residents. I've also heard good things about the food!

During our tours we were overwhelmingly pleased with Pine Ridge. It was a very nice looking community, the staff all seemed very friendly, and they had all sorts of activities going on to keep the residents entertained. However, my loved one ended up moving himself out shortly after moving in. He said things weren't clean, there was no hot water, his room was cold, etc. I don't know if they didn't do a good job explaining how to use their services to him and helping him adjust, or if they put on a good face just for tours, but something obviously fell apart after he moved in..

Like very much. Meats dad's needs and wants. Very family friendly. Family is very important.

Toured but not really a fit for us. Studio was quite small.

would reconsider if i returned to richmond in the future

Everything is going fine, pine ridge is fine, im not doing so fine, I'm having some lung problems but the care is very good.

I'm in another state so I don't go there very often, really the only thing that's been a negative is they don't work with insurance at all and that's been a real problem for us because my husband has power of attorney so it would have been helpful if the third party provider worked with insurance. I do know about the activities and she is aprticipating in them but they aren't her favorite things. I think they do try to get her to participate. They said it would be a really good fit but I don't know if it is because of her needs. I think they're equipped but everything is sort of individualized; you have to pay for every little thing you have done. I think they're doing everything they can to make it as good a fit as possible, but having that third party not work with insurance is huge and we didn't even think to ask that question until it was too late.

Wonderful facility. Not sure if this is what I am looking for. Lots of activities. I think this is for a younger more active senior. Loved the units and facility.

Popped in without an appointment. This property does not offer assisted care as i was already told. The common areas are spacious and are very similiar to a 5 star resort. Accomidations are large and well arranged. Shower only, no tub.

This is currently one of our two preferences.

The impression we got from Preston Place is that it is a well established stable community. Landscaped with very mature trees it gives the impression of living in a forest with lots of nature. Of the 4 places we toured in the last two days, in the one bedroom model, it appeared to have the most spacious LAYOUT, and definitely had the most storage/closet space, including storage out on the patio. The unit we are currently planning on moving on had recently upgraded the kitchen to cherry cabinets and beautiful granite countertops. They are in the process of upgrading all units and are approximately 10% done with that project. They are currently in the process of relandscaping the pool area to add in a large gas barbeque as well.

I went here and really liked it. liked kitchen, people.

My mother and I looked here two years ago. It is lovely and she really liked it except that the walk to go anywhere was not covered and she would need to walk too far to go to the main area.

We visited here with my family and enjoyed the tour. It is really a great place. One of our favorites.

Great facility, loved the patios/balconies and the courtyards. Staff was pleasant. Dining experience was great. I think mom would like it here.

Activities & transportation

SOUNDS GOOD! Grab bars in shower, has laundry in each hallway or they will do also.

The patio cottages are beautiful, and I would like to have something like that.
