True Connection Communities

We really liked this facility, but they didn't provide transportation to our doctors/specialists at Baylor Plano. So we've kind of put them on hold.

Great place

Only thing I am not satisfied with is the meals. They only offer one a day and you get one option and you get no say in what food you get daily. I do not like that. I have to cook for myself or go out to eat to other 2 meals a day.

Overall, Parc Place has generally been a good experience. I think the space they allot for in their cottages is good, if not a bit small. We have a two bedroom, but are getting ready to move into a three. They also have 3 car garages here, which is almost unheard of in other communities. The staff is very helpful, and they do try. I feel they are overwhelmed however with the workload. They have a lot of activities here, and they have a great communication system so that we can always know what is going on in the community. Overall, it has a good experience.

I am very content and happy being here. I have things to do outside of the community that keep me busy so I don't tend to do any of the activities here. The staff is friendly and nice. They keep the community very nice the housekeeping does a good job in cleaning my living area. The food is very good I enjoy it. I would recommend this community if asked.

I thought this was a nice community when I visited. The staff I met were nice. This community does not offer any patios or balconies with the apartments.

Preston Place I was not very impressed with it, it seemed like a younger crowd to me and there were children there, it was not what I was looking for. Most of the people who lived there still worked.

In general things have gone pretty well with Preston Place so far. It's a nice looking, clean community, and the staff have all been very friendly. I really liked that it doesn't really feel like a "retirement home", it doesn't have that antiseptic feel to it. We have had a few snags however, mostly involving setting up things like the cable service and the call button necklace service.

My Mom has been a resident here for awhile and mostly everything is good. This place does need some updating on the inside. The carpeting should be replaced in the main area when you come in and to the elevators. There are multiple stains and after so many cleanings there is only so much that can be done. Also, the furniture in the living area should be replaced as well, especially the lamps which look very old and cheap. The staff is very friendly, always smiling and very helpful. There are many activities going on and I would have rated this a 5 star except for the fact activities get cancelled on a weekly basis because the people that are supposed to run them do not show up. This is an independent living place but many times it looks like a nursing home because there are many residents that have some type of memory issue. You especially notice this when you walk in the door and see four or five residents asleep on the couch. Food is good and my mom and her friends get plenty of it.

My main complaint is there is no staff in charge on weekends, holidays or after 5 pm. Sometimes college girls are at the front desk all night. The staff there are lovely and caring, they seem to care about their residents. I don't worry about abuse or theft. The food is less than good, pretty awful most times I ate with her. No maintenance staff after 5 either, something's wrong there. If you're not a morning person, there are no late activities after dinner. High turnover in staff probably due to poor pay.

My mom needed a little more assistance then they wanted to give. Room sizes are good, dining is great staff is wonderful

The homes are very old and very little has been done to modernize them. A lot of people complain about maintenance and the time it takes to get anything done. The staff is very helpful but they require 60 day notice before you can move.

I have Lived at Arbour square for almost 2 years and I am happy to say living at Arbour Square goes beyond my prayers and dreams . Living here at arbor Square gives me a strong sense of peace, and relief! I am truly respected and treated like a family member! There is an attitude of true caring, honesty, truthfulness , and individual Attentiveness to everyone, regardless of your need or your circumstance! The total staff at Arbour Square genuinely cares about you and what’s going on in your life and how they can help you and your family adjust to any needs.

The ancient HVAC system needs to be REPLACED instead of repair patch jobs! The residents are expected to pay their monthly rent ON TIME. Twice or three times in past 2 weeks system has gone. During the winter the heat went out. Hot water is not always available. For a facility that is presented as a GREAT facility money needs to be spent on HVAC upgrades and any other system that is constantly going out. The size and breed of dogs needs to be addressed and LIMITED as they could cause residents to fall. The first item medical professionals note when a patient has limited mobility in additional to allergies. Activities are GREAT! Common areas and decor are also very nice.

It's a great value for the cost. Lots of amenities. I would improve the admission process. My dad was only there for a month. They were not prepared for his level of care. They should probably do in person or virtual assessments before admission cause this building is more for the younger (closer to 55) age seniors or seniors that are still active (minimal cane or wheelchair usage, no memory issues, etc). I explained what I knew about my father's medical concerns and was hold it would be no problem. Only to have to remove him after paying a $[removed] intake fee and setting up all his utilities and buying him food. I also was told by [name removed] that if or when he ever needed a higher level of care that they would assist me with resources and they didn't. They also insisted I set up a spectrum account through their rep and I did only for spectrum to disconnect the service the same day so he didn't have service that whole month he was there

My apartment, I like. I get good service with housekeeping and maintenance which is excellent and it is everything I want it to be. But the common areas are dreadful because of the acoustics. It makes socializing more difficult and almost impossible especially if you have a hearing problem both in the restaurant and upstairs.

Great maintenance and willingness to help. Staff was great. Remember this is when I get there. Many of the tenants were friendly but had issues and so I left due to it and the rising cost. Many residents were very old and I’m only in my 60s. I thought it would be Senior apartment living but it was not.

Staff here is excellent. They care and go out of there way to make sure we are comfortable and well taken care of. Corporate is another story. There are so many people who live here on a fixed income that can’t afford the Exorbitant rental increases that are being expected. There are so many people that are looking for other places to live and that’s a shame because lots of these people have lived here for years. We have a family and it’s a shame to see your family broken up over money when you can go up on the people that are coming in the new people you can charge anything you want. They don’t know anything different.

Meadowstone place is full of kind, friendly, active residents. The apartments are large and having outside entrances and living spaces for each apartment is extremely appealing. True Connections communities manages the property and cares more about the bottom line than about the people who live here. They spent over [fee removed] to renovate a clubhouse (that ended up with less storage and tables that are way too large and heavy to move) yet apt windows leak. Also bought new furniture for around the pools (the cushions have been chewed up by squirrels and the tables are small and we have fewer of them.) If there is a maintenance issue that requires a return visit, one can wait weeks and have to put in several request before anyone comes back to finish the job. Residents have asked to have a catered meal brought into the clubhouse, billed to their accounts, so they can eat w friends yet they have been told NO on multiple occasions. People feel like they're being treated like children

I feel the rent has gone up but i had to purchase my own wifi from AT&T. It was not taken off my rent like I asked to consider! It was not a choice because my cottage number [removed], never had service and I work from home some. I am hybrid! Work in office and home! It is how I pay my bills so since I put in fiber with AT&T, not 1 issue in almost 2 months! Before it was a weekly issue
