True Connection Communities

My experience has been positive. The physical ""plant" at Verena is really nice, especially with the recent changes of new carpets, furniture etc. My concern is with services that are promised. We residents are charged A LOT of money month for services beyond rent for the apartments. We have been patient with the under-staffing because this happens everywhere. In short, I have been a patient patient! I still drive, but parking is a problem, especially when many of us can't do a lot of walking. Residents who don't drive often should not park close to back entrances. Food offered really needs to be improved. I applaud the efforts to offer us health food choices.. But I don't think the people cooking are skilled cooks. Very often, what one orders isn't what one gets! Don't name a salad or entre unless one can produce what is genuine. What you call an item on the menu, you are establishing expectations! It is not a good idea to promise more than can be delivered!

I moved here many years ago. I love the area and the people who live here. I do not feel lonely. The staff is friendly and helpful. I just wish they stayed here longer. I have met some of the greatest friends I have ever had.

Not too big and not too small. Updated and bright. People seem friendly. Outside pool area is inviting and comfortable. Dining area is large and clean. Parking is ample and accessible. Suites are updated.

My wife & I have been at the Verena at the Glen, VA., for the past two years. By and large it has been a pleasant and postive experience due to a caring, dedicted administrative staff coupled with a warm and friendly maintenance and other services help. Residents are friendly, frequently in good spirits and ready to give a hand whenever and to whomever may need it. Social, cultural and religious activities are available. The place is ideally located in close vicinity to professional offices, various eateries and large and small assorted businesses.

It has been a big adjustment, but its starting to feel like home. I have jumped in and am making lots of friends and even teaching a line dancing class. I like that I don't have to cook and the food is yummy!

The staff is very friendly and helpful! People are very friendly. Its home! It's great to have transportation to things and appointments. I have made some great friends here. The apartments are nice and feels like home.

Mom has been there for several months and loves it there. Everyone is friendly and helpful. She likes the activities and participates in most. She likes the food and being able to chat with other people. She has access to her car and is able to still feel independent without having to go grocery shopping or cook meals.

I’ve lived here since the fall of 2018 and have been content all those days. It isn’t a perfect place, but it is a safe place. Perhaps the friendliness of the staff is the most important factor to me; I know each one cares about me. The various services could be better. The maintenance could be completed faster. The transportation could be more prompt. The food service could be more palatable. The housekeeping could be a bit more thorough. Each service has room for improvement. Yet, this is my home and I plan to stay as long as I’m able to take care of myself. I would recommend Verena without hesitation.

We have only lived here for 2 months and so far we are loving it. Very friendly residents and staff, always ready to help; patio homes are great - dog park is a great feature for us! The grounds are very well kept and tended to. We are looking forward to many years here.

Overall good experience so far with the Verena at Leander community. Staff turnover results in staff who want to help but don't know how. Food is very good but current chef is leaving soon. Can be slow to resolve issues.

My mother has never been happier. We picked this community because of the great energy, friendliness, and activities.

Verena at Delray is the perfect place for our father, who is still living independently. Private care services are available, but the facility is 100% independent living with no assisted living residents.

The team that works for Pine Ridge is excellent - communicative, caring, thoughtful. They go out of their way to get to know clients and to make them feel at home. Homestead, the group that offers care the clients (medications administration, shower assistance, etc.) is inconsistent. Some people are warm and wonderful while others are super abrasive and rude. This team does NOT communicate well with families.

We really like the closeness of the community but they are currently short staffed in the kitchen and dining room

We have been very pleased with our experience at Preston Place. Management does seem to change frequently and is not very solid, but we like everything else.

Our family had an in person tour and it had a very lively environment to it, it is a nice senior community with a lot of couples. However they do not have a pool which is fine, but that was something our loved one really wanted. It was a good top choice.

Seriously consider it. The management really works hard to make this a pleasant place to live. We can do our laundry at night time for free.

This community was very nice, we are really deep in our religion and we felt like our loved ones would not have others that were similar around them to be comfortable.

The community has been on lockdown due to the pandemic. and the food has been being delivered to the residents' rooms. It appears they are opening the dining room back up for the residents to use. The staff have been okay to work with. There was an issue that we would like to have been dealt with differently.

Aventine at The Phoenix made it into our final two. The facility itself was a little nicer, but they did not have as nice of an apartment. They had us in for a dinner experience, and it was a disaster. I think the wait staff was new, and she let us order two things that they were completely out of. In the end, the nicer apartment at the other facility won us over.
