True Connection Communities

This is a very nice affordable community with lots to offer seniors. My Mother has only been moved in for a little over a week, but the experience has been postivie so far. She has made many new friends, and is staying very busy with all of the planned activities. (She is a social one, so it suits her well!) The staff is very friendly and helpful, as well. I believe we made the right decision.

Overall good - a couple of issues after the move in. Food service ends at 5 pm and early on the weekends. They have been short staffed in restaurant. The housekeeping is supposed to come every 2 weeks and they have only come to MILs one time since she moved in at the end of May.

We really enjoyed our visit to Verena. The staff and residents were so friendly. The meal was good and the waitstaff were friendly and efficient.

I Need to digest all that I saw and will come back to visit soon. I was impressed with the staff and esp the new one and two bedroom ‘homes.’ Very bright, clean and spacious.

I really liked the apartment floorplans. Did not like the fact that it requires a one year lease and did not particularly like the meal structure.

We are very happy in verena at Gilbert. Very good cleanliness, staff is very friendly, apartments size is perfect. I would recommend the community to others who are searching for senior living.

I have an auntie that lives here and she is so happy. She was at a place not far from here so we decided to move her. I am her main source of transportation which is hard being in college and working. One thing we love is they provide transportation to and from the doctor and do lots of outings like grocery stores and even going out for lunch! The staff is very friendly and always are willing to help my aunt feel welcome. They have a new manager and she was very nice and made it a point to follow up with me on a concern my auntie had mentioned to me. Not only did she return my call same day, she also solved the problem. My auntie said "I feel seen and heard here" She went above and beyond for her! It gives me peace of mind knowing they could assist with her doctor appointments and even taking her to her bank. It took a lot off my plate so I could focus on school.

The staff has been so over the top helpful and welcoming to my mother. Also all maintenance requests were handled in a timely and satisfactory way. Mom hasn't had any complaints about food and thought the Mother's day brunch was impressive. She is starting to venture into activities and finds everyone welcoming. The place is very clean. Overall, it's a great fit for my mother.

I have lived here for over a year now and love my apartment. It has a nice view with the woods and a walking path too. My little dog loves it too. The people are very friendly here, including the staff and residents. Lots of activities to keep busy. The rent includes 3 meals a day,housekeeping,laundry service, and internet.Also has PT and OT therapy here.?? They have entertainment come in every month too!!

If you are looking for a place to call home, this is a great place to go. The staff are wonderful and caring. The chef is great! He listens to our complaint, if there are any, and cares and will do whatever he can to make us happy with our meals. I love that I only go to a grocery store to get the things I want (i.e. snacks). I can choose to do my own laundry or have it done for me. That's a perk I love. Housekeeping is done on a weekly basis.

Staff is friendly and helpful. I get the impression that they are cooking out of a recipe book. Nothing is simple. They spent a long time overcooking the entrees. All meats were cooked dry and flavorless. They have recently stopped doing that. I had a quarter piece of chicken last night that was moist and tasty. It remains to be seen if they can continue cooking that way.

I've met a lot of really nice people here at Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby. There are lots of activities to keep me busy such as card games, casino visits and bingo.

The staff was very attentive. The apartments are very nice. The grounds are nice. Lunch was very good, but this is not a good fit for us as we are a lot younger and just feel like that. We would not thrive and this environment. Would’ve been a good place for my parents.

New and clean. Attractive facilities. Does not work for us due to being an excellent independent living option , but then no transitions beyond that.

I moved to parc place to a patio home i loved it however my home was on market 7 months and did not sell so I moved back to my home Grounds excellent Pool and hot tub dated Little dated in common areas but tranquil and clean. Yes, I would recommend this community to others however not a new shiny community needs some upgrades but the patio home was large and felt like I was still in my home. Would still be there if my home would have sold for the right price

I am interest in the facility. The moving time would have to be when I can get out of my current contract, getting a mover , the availability of an apartment there. And of course movers. I do have a family emergency right now and that is also a factor . Please let me know what and when there is an available apartment [name removed]

I have lived at Chesapeake Bay in the Towers building for the past 3 years. I have been very happy here as it meets all my high standards for a quiet well designed living space, to the many amenities offered for my pleasure and convenience. I would most certainly recommend the complex to all who might be interested in adult living. The staff are friendly, helpful and responsive to the needs of residents and the renters are warm and friendly. Do visit and check it out for yourselves.

Verena satisfies my needs and wants very much and more than a 9. I rate it as 9 out of 10 because they don't give me nine and a half out of 10 and I never rate anything as a 10 except maybe my wife. The staff are congenial and pleasant with a great sense of humor and the same goes for the residents. It is that Pleasant congeniality that makes it a place I would recommend for my mother or any other loved one.

A good experience so far. We walk a lot and enjoy walking the outer perimeter of the complex Found one place not ADA compliant. Very small, easy fix. Only saw one maintenance issue. Staff explained how to notify proper people.
