We've been a part of Chesapeake for 2 years. It truly is a place where the residents care about each other. The physical building is comfortable, well appointed and something for everyone. Activities abound, catering to socialization, needs and fellowship. Most residents find this a place where they will stay as long as they remain active. It's for couples as well as singles. Nothing like it in this area.

It’s a good place for seniors, activities & games. Newly widowed, newly divorced, need friends….. good food! But it also gives back to residence what they promised in reference to helping us. For an example, I was at the pool one morning for exercise and Decided to go to the car wash we have here on property.(Which is another benefit of a place you can wash your car and vacuum it free!) Then I reached in my backseat of my car and got a towel. Sure enough I locked my car accidentally . so going over to the office they were kind enough to take me to an office. Help me look for the phone number for Volvo and take me back to my apartment where I can get dressed out of my swimsuit. Bring me back to the office. Wait for the phone call from the guy to unlock my car and help me get over there to it, all part of the service of the staff here! Some of us can give you more experiences. But then there are other reasons… Of course friendly residents……and Staff like [name removed] & [name removed]

The staff is outstanding. Friendly, professional, caring - all are interested in the residents' welfare. Cleanliness needs attention: Dirty windows and carpeting are a concern. Rules are not always implemented, such as dogs wandering without leashes, walkers being stored in public hallways the the dining room causing safety hazards.

If I am honest, I wish we were in our own home, but that was not an option for us at the time. Laurel Springs is home now. Our neighbors are great, the staff are helpful, compassionate and friendly. Lots of things to do if you want. Hope this will be our final move.

They changed chefs shortly after they moved in. Replacement was not very good. The meals have gotten better but still not what they used to offer

I am very much a loner and spend alot of time in my apartment doing sewing projects. Because of this, I have not participated in many activities. I enjoyed being the "teacher" of the sewing class. The little time that I am out of my apartment, the people I contact with are friendly. People have been very receptive to my sewing projects (the red. white and blue star t-shirts, for example). Arbour Square has much to offer in a cordial environment.

Nice rooms, safe facility. bus take you many places. Food service is good. Activities are many so plenty to do. You can also rest and do nothing. Cost is comparable to living in a house with maintenance, food and utilities.

While the facility and the residents and staff makes living here congenial and comfortable, it is the variety and number of activities that makes life here enjoyable and satisfying. There is always something interesting to do. And the community is large enough that you can slip away for some quiet time when you need it.

The overall experience has been good and the community is very clean. The staff members are very friendly but this is not a care facility. The meals were ok in the beginning then fired the chef and never replaced with a chef just same line cook so the food quality suffered. Activities ok for wife, but she stopped going, so not worth the price to us.

I would definitely recommend this place.

The staff is very friendly. When short on servers in dining room staff pitches in serving and cleaning up which I never did see at [facility name removed]. The dining room carpet is not cleaned very well often. The quality and quantity of meals has gone down since moving in. Not a lot of places for activities except for the dining room. Not many craft projects to make and take like at [facility name removed]

Clean, safe, friendly helpful staff, good community feel, friendly residents, and fun activities. The value for the money would be a 5 if the food situation was more consistent and they actually delivered on the additional food options from the menu. Meal options of a daily specials and alternate items off a menu were represented to us as being available when we decided to move to Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby. Nearly half the time, or more often than that, when requesting items off the menu rather than choosing the special we are told: Sorry, we are short staffed in the kitchen, we can do the special, or there is soup, but the chef can't handle any of the alternate menu items. This is not at all what we were told when visiting, and again, this happens more often than not.

I would highly recommend Verena at Bedford Falls. I think they do a great job attending to needs of residents as well as varied activities and trips. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The housekeepers are thorough and the grounds are kept well. I also think the shared garden is a great idea. The building is dog friendly also!

I say maybe not as pretty as some other places, but it has a warmer heart on the inside.

The rooms are great and the entire place is very clean and well maintained. The food is okay but they are frequently out of things. The Homecare assistance staff team has a lot of turnover. Some of their staff are very good but some are very poor.

The food has gone down in quality and they have some struggles with getting the transportation arranged for medical appointments. But overall they feel safe and it is a very clean environment! I think it's a good facility and the value for the area is great.

Beautiful facility . What a great place to live it seems to offer lots of activities to meet the needs of many people with different wishes and likes . We did not have a change to eat at the facility but will do that next time .

By & large this is a friendly and safe place to live in. It lacks recreational areas, a theater, a community/lecture room and the cultural and recreational trips are few and far in between. Likewise dining area and food quality need some improvement.

The staff is very nice and genuine. The residents are very vibrant. The activities are frequent and they offer a variety. It's a nice place to live. I feel good that my parents are able to live here. I would recommend this facility to others.
