True Connection Communities

There was a Director Change almost immediately after I moved in. This brings it down to a 3, however, the maintenance and [name removed] in the office all earn 5's across the board. The utmost reasoning I chose to live here was the private patios, kind of a little piece of having my own home, where I could be outside but shielded from foot traffic.

The community is very welcoming and inclusive. There are a variety of activities and events offered to engage, educate and entertain the residents. The property is well-maintained and contains to undergo updates and renovations. As a result, the rates have increased slightly.

I am a very active 66 year old. I really enjoy my cottage but most residents are in there late 70's and 80's. I do have a YMCA close that is for 55+members at a monthly rate of 35 a month. I'm still getting adjusted with clearing storage buildings. This may be more info than you need but to explain why I really don't feel it is a good fit for me. I will probably look for a home when my lease is up. I will say staff has been very helpful and nice but I need very little assistance from them.

Overall I like living here.

I would give it a 4 right now. It is under new management and is being upgraded all over. The landscape is gorgeous and so many things are being done with improvements. It has full days of things to do. Someone told me this place has the most activities of any they looked at . Now the reason I didn't give it a 5 - the Community Fee costs the same as one month's rent; whereas, every other place we looked at the Community Fee was $[removed]. I've been here a month and a half and we still don't have a rod for one bathroom's toilet paper to hang on. We did get a newrod but it was too short and ow they have ordered a whole units f said we would have it in 2 days and that was almost / weeks ago. I know that seems small but we are very happy here. Everyone we have met is super nice. Our apartment had been completely redone - new paint, new tile floors, new bedrooms carpeting, new refrigerator, new dishwasher, new stove, new granite countertops in kitchen and both bathrooms. Another nice thing- you get a $[removed] referral fee if someone you refer moves in.

4.5 rating of Villas. They are helpful, pleasant and will go out to make sure you get what you want and what you are looking for.

My husband and moved to Parc Place [date removed]. He was killed by street racers on [date removed], just 6 months after moving. I chose to stay at Parc Place. With this decision in mind, I think of living here similar to life in general. Like life, Parc Place has it's positive and negative, it's ups and it's downs, changes I have enjoyed and changes that I wish had not taken place. But this is life! All in all, I am still glad I can call Parc Pace home. There are 3 areas that could be improved very quickly: maintenance could be trained more and the landscape people need new or better equipment. And #3, security. Yes, we have gated entries, but that is not a "live person" on the property. The staff for the most part are very efficient and seem to really care for their clientele. The chef and his staff are very kind and gracious and try to please so many with so many different taste and opinions. But this is Life! Thank you for this opportunity to express my opinion.

Staff very friendly and nice to work with. Cottages reasonable to rent. They should certainly consider Verena at Hilliard.

Its a graet place to live ,you can play games all day if you want,or you can rest all day if you went.I lived her for 21/2yeras now and i love it.so come and some fun when you are old. I play poker two times a week. Life hear is best you can find.

Our son and daughter-in-law wanted us to live closer to them now that we are in our mid to late 70's. So we sadly left Sun City, but really love living here at Verena Independent Living in Gilbert, AZ. Our apartment is attractive and bright. The residents are very friendly and the delicious food is served by delightful young people. There are plenty of activities to keep residents occupied. The convenient location to Gilbert restaurants, services and medical facilities are very much appreciated. Our two pups enjoy playing with other pups at the dog park every morning. With a responsive management staff, there is little reason to NOT live here!

The current Verena team is amazing. The office team, especially [name removed] are wonderful! Their prompt response, kindness, understanding and care is beyond words. Their chef and dinning team are exceptional! There were some bumps in the road in the past. The entire team is just that; a team. I would even say more like a family. I am so impressed with all the positive changes and care that exudes from everyone. I hope this continues and I look forward to the continued collaboration from all. My Mom & I are so grateful for everyone.

The staff I've met are all friendly and helpful, though busy at times. Large open dining area, lovely courtyard with access from her room.

Excellent staff - which breeds high overhead which, of course, is passed to renters. Thus 81% occupancy. I will be moving to an "age in place" apartment. I'm soon to be priced out of the "retirement community" market. I' pay $[fee removed] monthly which includes no meals other than complimentary very limited breakfast.

Overall experience is very satisfactory. All through I'm very satisfied giving an excellent review, there is always room for improvement and this is not meant to be negative. I come from a life long career in the hospitality food and beverage management industry. I highly recommend Pine Ridge to anyone looking in this area. I am very happy with my choice and the staff.

I’d like to say that our new director is great. I’m not happy that we can’t choose what we want on our salad. We need more activities, especially for people who don’t get out much. I wish they had the fall monitoring available again.

It’s been acceptable so far. I’ve met a lot of friendly people. I haven’t had any negative feelings except for the food menu. It would be nice if there was more protein offered, especially on weekends.

Pine Ridge at Plumbrook is the best place I have lived since moving to senior independence living three years ago. My first place was for assisted living which was expensive and am needed. Plumber has a better location, pricing, physical plant, layout menu, activities and square foot age for the price. The staff is exceptional and really cares for the residents. Local transportation is provided and many activities outside the compound are planning and taken. We call ourselves God's waiting room because when he call us we're ready to facility funny.

Things that could be done connected. Upgrading carpet in Veranda, Need lights at Veranda entrance. Remove mud dirt on sidewalks. Ride a scooter and we needs a fence along concrete to prevent scooter from going off ledge. More chair and tables in veranda.

Preston Place is a very friendly community. It's building are older and have their aged problems. Our Exec Dir is new to our community and is definitely making a difference. She see's things with fresh eye and new ideas. She's a very caring person and we are so very happy she's here. I believed given time and resource she will make our Preston Place a home we can be proud of.
