True Connection Communities

The Brookdale Eden Estates was a beautiful community. I really liked the independent living. The staff was very friendly and the tour guide answered all of our questions. Unfortunately, they did not have housing available when we were looking.

My wife was reluctant to sell home and move to retirement community but once moved in she is on the team. The inhabitants are all friendly, all of the employees are great and always in good humor. We're for the duration.

Outstanding in all ways. Solid original construction in a beautiful green setting, carefully maintained. Attentive, caring staff with a low turnover. Management company and owners are local, a plus if you have ever dealt with a national company that is investor-oriented. Community of friendly people support a social atmosphere that is very positive. Transportation is scheduled for all needs, and there is ample parking for drivers. Apartments have nice kitchens for independent living, with lunch meals at center and frequent activities with food. Extensive and varied activities. Many residents use walkers or wheelchairs; aging in place is handled through home health services. My son's family from far away loved staying here in a guest room for a summer visit. A happy place.

Our parents moved to Meadowstone Place about 5 years ago. My siblings and I researched many places in the North Dallas area. What appealed to our entire family most is that, even though these are apartments, the minute you see one of the units, you realize that these are homes in a lovely neighborhood full of trees. The units each have a front and back door and a fenced patio. Our Mom loves to keep plants and flowers all year long so this is perfect for her and she can see them from her kitchen. There are activities for every kind of interest and you can participate as little or as much as you would like. Even after we lost Dad, Mom would not think of moving anywhere else. Actually, the staff makes Meadowstone Place what it is. It is apparent that they love what they do. The care and thoughtfulness in all they do is outstanding. We love visiting Mom and the staff know us all by name . We like to think of them as an extension of our family. We know she is safe there and we appreciate that there is an active Dallas Police Officer that always lives on the premises. We could not be more pleased to have our Mom living in Meadowstone Place.

Residents are very friendly and welcoming. Many activities on and off the property in which to participate if one chooses. Very large, quiet apartments. Staff is especially helpful and prompt to answer questions, concerns or take care of problems. Committees for all kinds of interests and a resident council allowing for input. Location is within 2 miles of several different grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants. Convenient to downtown Dallas and all major highways. So happy to have found this gem.

Villas is a good community for independent active people. The staff are wonderful and answered our questions. There is a small store that is run by the residents. This community is a renovated hotel. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit for my loved one. There is an independent in home agency there and I was not impressed with their communication.

My Father has been residing at Arbour Square since mid-January, 2016. He made the move from his home in Reading, PA to be closer to my 2 Brothers after the passing of our Beloved Mother in December of 2015. Our entire family is impressed with his cute little apartment, the kindness shown by all the staff, the amenities and activities available, the good food served in the lovely dining area and the physical therapy he receives. It is such a relief knowing he is safe and secure in a clean, beautifully appointed environment. He is slowly adjusting to his new "digs".... and we hope that as time goes on he will find his "niche" and feel more "at home". I visit him as often as I can ( I live 7 hours away)....and my experiences there with staff and residents are always pleasant.

My parents relocated to Arbour Square in 2011. It was a big change for them, leaving the city they had lived in their whole life and moving to an apartment. Their apartment was bright and cheery and the staff and residents made them feel very welcome. My dad volunteered to do some work with the office staff, which he just loves. In 2014 my mother passed away, and again the staff and residents were very supportive and kind to my father. He continues to reside in his apartment and still does volunteer work. His favorite activity is doing jigsaw puzzles and he has quite the reputation. The common areas and dining room are warm and welcoming, the staff kind and caring. I am very happy to have my dad close by and well taken care of.

Villas of Shelby wasn't out first pick but we looked at numerous places and this one is pretty good. They have a wide range of activities. My parents haven't participated in them yet but I really hope they do in the future. The staff is very friendly and caring here. Overall we are pleased.

I was so impressed with all the wonderful rooms to assist the residents enjoy their new home. The staff has been there for a number of years, and that speaks greatly about the degree of happiness exhibited by those who live here. Brightness, cleanliness, and upkeep as well as activities are assets. It was a pleasure to meet the staff. Kathy

I could not have asked for more compassionate and helpful people than at Preston Place. Moving my parents who are in their mid-eighties was going to be tramadic enough since they were coming from another state and from a 3 bedroom house to a 650 sq ft. apartment. However, everyone at Preston Place has made them feel at home and have been so helpful in their transition.

Mom has only been a resident for one week and has participated in more activities than in the last 4 years (involving exercise). So far, everything has exceeded expectations. Thank you Lynette and Lisa for support!

We have been pretty happy with al the experience we have had. People are very helpful and accommodating and loved is happy at facility.

We helped our mother move in to Parc Place last month. Her apartment is wonderful - lots of windows, natural light, open and airy. Her unit has a great deal of room for a one-bedroom, plus good storage space. The staff at Parc Place has been truly caring and helpful. They have treated Mom as part of a "family" of residents. We could not be happier with our choice of this retirement community; we feel it is the perfect fit for our mom.

The food there is really good. I have eaten there with mom and dad a few times and the food has always been really good. They are really good about accommodating any situations that arise. It's been a good experience.

I think they do a great job overall at Pine Ridge Retirement! The facility itself looks very nice. It is clean, and very nicely decorated without feeling "overdone", it has a very comfortable feel. The staff are all very friendly as well. They also do a good job with the food here, we've had a few meals here and enjoyed them.

On two previous independent visits to Verena at the Reserve I was so impressed by the residents and the staff. Then when my father recently asked about senior living options in Williamsburg, I suggested he look at Verena. Barbara Bane gave us a super tour and has been very helpful as we plan his transition to an apartment. Verena at the Reserve is a lovely facility and the residents are very friendly and the food is delicious. Very excited with my dad's choice!

My mom moved into Preston Place almost 18 months ago. She is very happy and stays very active! The staff is always available to answer questions and give her the support she needs. As her daughter, I can't imagine a better place for my mom. I feel confident that the staff looks out for her and has her best interest at heart. The activities are outstanding and very diverse. Mom always is eager to sign up for bingo, entertainment at the Veranda and line dancing with Jill is one of mom's favorite activities! My mom does cook for herself and although she doesn't eat at the Veranda, the cooks provide wonderful snacks and treats for the different events held there! We are concerned about the cost and we hope that mom will be able to live as long as she's able in her beautiful apartment! Mom is a young almost 85 and lives independently! We love Preston Place!

We've had a great experience at Villas of Shelby so far! The staff are all very friendly, and they're very accommodating when it comes to any requests or assistance you need! They've got a good variety of activities, and they've been putting in a lot of effort to improve them further. We're very happy with this place, and would recommend it to others who are looking!

It has only been a month since my Mom has moved from NYC to Preston Place and I am so happy to see how the community (residents and staff) have welcomed her. We are so happy with her apartment and the help we received to get her settled in. She has already volunteered to help in certain areas; has participated in various activities; has been invited to church and other activities in the neighborhood by her new friends. She did not keep her car yet is very happy with the transportation Preston Place provides to make doctor appointments and do some shopping. My brother and I feel very confident our mother will enjoy her time at Preston and we enjoy visiting her and meeting her neighbors.
