Overall I think the experience was great for her, they were pleasant to her. When we first visited we got a lot of information about the activities, so I know they offered a lot, but I don't think that she participated much. She is very particular about food so she was not pleased, I had a meal once when we first went to visit and it was fine. We chose this based on price and location. It just wasn't a good fit for her. She was one of the youngest people there. I didn't have a lot of experience I was there a couple of times.

I had been living for a few years at a facility which was becoming an increasingly poor match for me. They were beginning to admit new residents that were less and less capable and I was finding myself surrounded by older and older people. It was tending to dilute the activities and made it harder to find and make new friends. Plus the rent kept rising higher and higher each year and I no longer considered it reasonable. I looked at 2 places recommended by A Place for Mom. The first was very nice but just did not feel right for me. The second place I visited felt immediately right. The apartment was lovely and in a great configuration, larger by square feet than my previous apartment. The management was very friendly and the people there came right up and introduced themselves and asked about me and told me about themselves. This was an alert group. The person who came with me also felt the apartment and the arrangement looked very good. And the price was substantially lower than what I had been paying before. And here I only had to pay for the meals I ate. And now with a full kitchen available to me I could go back to cooking for myself again. Something I had been missing and unable to do in that little partial kitchenette I had before. Even my own washer and dryer! Everything I wanted and at a lower price. And it just felt right, I belonged here.

I came in to tour for my parents and my entire family was impressed! The anytime dining availability was something that no other community offered. The residents seemed happy, busy and well cared for. Homey feel, clean and comfortable. I hope this is the community my mother and father choose.

We brought my parents here because my in-laws had a wonderful experience at Plumbrook for over 2 years. My mom and dad moved to Plumbrook 3 years ago and my dad since passed away. My mom has flourished in the community and is not only supported by friends she has made but also by the staff. My mom is very active in the community and she even leads some of the activities. The whole family is grateful for Plumbrook and how they have wrapped their arms around her. This is definately the best place for my mom.

This senior community is my #1 favorite. The price was well within my budget. However, the distance was too far. Now that my needs have changed & distance is no longer an issue, I wish they offered assisted living.

So far, this is the most interesting and it has floor plans that are perfect. But the freeway mess surrounding it is a deterrent.

My dad has lived at Pine Ridge for four years. I checked out several places prior to him moving there. There is a higher male population at Pine Ridge and I was very impressed with the staff and the fact they take an interest in the residents lives and families. The staff is very kind and caring and treat all the residents with a caring and respectful attitude. They have always been very helpful when we needed extra assistance. My dad now needs assistance with his medicines. Right-At-Home comes in three times each day. Since starting that service, my dad's blood pressure runs much better. The facility is clean. There are activities for the residents and there are a couple family activities.... a picnic in the summer and a Christmas party. My dad's favorite activity was the monthly trip to the casino!! We know my dad's life is richer since living there. My mom passed away 7 years ago. He lived on his own for three years. He gets more exercise and is around other people more than when he lived on his own. We love knowing his meals are provided. Once a week, the laundry is done and his apartment is cleaned. Then when we come to visit, we can visit!

The people are friendly, the staff is friendly, they'll do anything to help you and its a really nice place. We're getting a good value too, I looked around quite a bit because I'm still cooking and wanted to find a place where you didn't have to buy your food and they do put out a menu for two weeks so you can let them know if you want to order lunch. They have low impact chair aerobics, water aerobics and they have lots of programs; like on friday they're having a party for the Great Gatsby and they always have people coming through and giving an hour program. There's lots going on if you want to get involved. The apartments are a good size too, all the doorways are for wheelchairs if you needed them and we have a front porch where we can sit out and watch the people go by. It's a nice size and people are wonderful, they really are.

I chose them because my mother is still a very active person and I have had my dad at Holidays so I was very familiar with those but I wanted something that had a lot of activities. Compared to others I looked at, Parc Place gave me a much better idea of activities. She's enjoying them, we're trying to get her to do more and more and she's enjoyed quite a few of what she's done. They absolutely encourage her participation which is good because we want her to get involved in more. The food is pretty good, it could be better and I've had better at others but we chose this soley because of the things they provided for more active people that didn't need to be scheduled.

We did a lot of shopping beforehand, we did this over a year time period went back several times, my parents are real happy there. They're not really using the care services per sey right now other than going to dining and things like that but they're loving the activities. My mom is still very active, very agile, and she was really kinda hesitant that she wasn't ready for this, that maybe my father was, but she wasn't, so it was a little harder transition for her in accepting that this is not what she made it out to be, that its not going to be a nursing home, that its a fun place to be. Debbie and Tanya, their activities directors are awesome peopel, they're always asking the residents what they want to do and my mom is doing more now than she ever did before and they really helped her come out of her shell.

Pine Ridge has been working out very well for our loved one. I don't have any issues with them so far. She likes being here. They are a little more costly then I expected. We have the full package so we thought that was with everything included but there are still charges for things that she does or needs. The food is good and the apartments are nice. Overall is has been a good place and we are pleased with them. I would recommend this community to anyone just make sure you ask about any additional charges that might happen.

I came with my mom to tour Parc place without an appointment but the guy in the office was very friendly and showed us the place and explained all the information about what do they offer. I ended up renting an apartment for mom there after visiting all the other communities. I think I made I made the right decision. Mom is so happy over there.

We toured this residence Saturday afternoon and Mom was very impressed with the size and storage of one of the units. She liked the amenities and planned activities. The location was more to her liking. Everything seemed to be well maintained. She liked the outdoor space and that she would be able to have some flowers or a small garden, in addition to the community garden area. Although the price was a little high, Lawana informed her of a military assistance program that might help with the rent. She also liked the onsite beauty shop because she likes to get her hair done weekly. She likes to cook but likes the option of having meals delivered if she ever needs that service. This one is the highest on her list. She will keep in contact on this residence.

My mother loved this place best, compared to three others that we looked at. Love the amenities (two swimming pools!), the meal options, and the fact that they are attached to a medical building where all doctors could be accessed by walking. Price seems very reasonable when considering all that is being offered, and in comparison to other properties visited.

This is on the short list.
