The room sizes are pretty good. They do a good job keeping the residents engaged. Some of the staff spend more time talking to each other than caring for the residents. The food seems pretty good. They have a good variety on the menu. They have a few different outdoor spaces for the residents to use.

Beautiful facility, it definitely doesn't have that clinical or nursing home feel. The Personal Care Rooms are a little smaller than other facilities we've looked at. I think maybe the admissions staff (or whatever you call them) are a little overwhelmed with the new opening and I'm sure they have a lot of families interested in their facility, so just go in with some patience for the tour. Everyone was very nice, though, I would have no concern about the level of respect my mom would be given here.

My reason for admission - rehab for broken foot. Avalon Springs is a quality facility. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was great and I cannot say enough about the rehab department. I definitely would recommend Avalon Springs to family and friends.

I have lived at the long term care facility for nearly three years. During that time I have always been treated with respect and well cared for. While I am well pleased with the staff the upper management and officials with the home office have proved to be inefficient. But managent does not make the facility successful, the staff does! For that reason I would strongly recommend the long term care facility here.
