Traditions Management

A few things I like most about Traditions are the excellent and caring staff. They have good activities and a great on-site nurse. I would recommend this place to others.

5 for each of these areas. We are very happy with the care our Aunt has received at Park Place. She celebrated her 1 year anniversary there this past Monday. The staff has been very caring and friendly. They treat our Aunt like family and we are very happy with the overall services this community provides.

It was a short but very good experience at Traditions, especially the Nursing Staff and Director of Nursing! The Director is really involved with residents and directly helped me with my aunt several times with nursing issues. Afterwards, she continued to check on my aunt and her condition. She showed a deep and sincere care for both of us. Also, when my hospice company wasn't working out, she guided me through the steps to switch to another hospice organization late in the evening. Also, forgot to mention, there is a lovely couple of women who man the desk at the front. They are SO welcoming and attentive to every single person (guest or resident) coming in and out. I think that The Traditions is so successful in creating such a wonderful caring environment is that so many key staff have long tenures at the facility, Dir of Nursing, Front desk, Activities Dir etc. And everyone works well together. To say it works like a well oiled machine takes the personalization out of what this leadership and staff provide. It really is a wonderful place.

[name removed] passed away 4 hours after admittance. However, my daughter and I have deep gratitude for the care provided by staff prior to admittance and the time prior to her passing. For instance, I had to leave to take care of legal concerns. The director came and sat with her until my daughter & hospice nurse could arrive.

Brookdale Mt Vernon has been wonderful. The workers have been so kind and helpful.

My Dad was in the memory care part of the facility. Meds seemed to be changed often which made it difficult on him. This was due to his Dr. not Brookdale. This was my only real complaint. He passed away after a 3 month stay. I am Very thankful to the administration, nurses and associates that worked with my Dad. They took the time to learn his norms and treated him with respect.

Everyone is always very helpful with helping the other person. They take pride in seeing that you are ok or if you need assistance. The food is getting better, they just hired a new chef.

They will do or say anything to get you in the door.

#1....5. #2...5, and the workers are exceptionally patient and kind. #3.....5 everyone is very friendly, they know all the residents AND their families. #4...we had a hiccup early on, but after a meeting with the nurse everting has been wonderful since. #5...5 they are all terrific and very helpful. #6...3 my mom is not excited about the food. Some of the other residents weren't either. They had a meeting with the kitchen staff and are working on changes. They did do a fabulous Easter buffet for residents and their families. Most excellent. #7...5 the activities are great. My mon is a very social person and tries to do most of the activities. Keeps her quite busy. #8....4 personally I think it is a little expensive, but to see my mom happy and well cared for makes it worth it.

Overall experience: Could not walk when she entered and could walk when she left (10 weeks). They did what need happen for her to walk. Cleanliness: staff kept the place very clean. Friendliness: staff were helpful and often talk to me. Administrative staff always talked and what they could do more. Quality of life: very good because we were they a short time. Administrative staff: always talked to you before prompting. Very helpful in what we could do. Food: food was excellent and lots of options at meals. Activities: Although my wife did not participate. Always asked what she liked. Plenty of activities throughout the day. Value: Excellent Staff and administrative. Object was meant that wife could walk. I think the cost was too much. Objective was meant. My wife and me appreciative of Brookdale...

It is a little pricey. 1. Well staffed - as opposed to short staffed. Mom was at [community removed] at the end of her life. They were short staffed and not as attentive as Lebanon. We had to use Hospice locally to close the gap in care. 2. Excellent programs - engaging the mind, body, and soul of our Mom, which kept her as happy as she could be, given her disease and surrounding circumstances. 3 Responsive staff - any time I did have a concern, I felt the caregivers all the way up to the Executive Director had our best interests at heart and really cared for Mom. Overall a good experience.

My mom loves it there. She tells everyone that it's the best decision she has ever made when she decided to move into the facility. She has made so many friends in her 1st year living there. The activities are great. She plays bingo, cards and goes to the live entertainment they have. The food taste great, and the chef has monthly meetings with the residents to get different food ideas. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Traditions at Hunter Station has worked out great for our family.

As of now everything is wonderful. 5 all around. They seemed to genuinely care about our father. They check on them frequently and inform of any behavior that is not his normal routine.

[name removed]was extremely patient, understanding our needs and is a very good listener. She had answers or suggestions for all my questions.

They really advocated for her when we needed them and the staff was so friendly to her and us. They have lots of activities and the people that run them- [name removed] & [name removed]genuinely have a passion for making activities, memories and experiences the best possible for their residents. [name removed], the medical director, absolutely went above and beyond to get my mother in law the care she needed when a local hospital wouldn't listen to my husband and I. The staff as a whole was always communicating with us and answering our questions or giving us updates. It bought us peace of mind, when she agreed to move as living by herself became dangerous and we really believe this place allowed us to have a little more time with her. The NP, [name removed], they also provided in house was an incredible advocate for her as she transitioned to hospice and helped us with the process.

From move in to all of the activities. Mom loves it. She wasn't very excited to move but she needed assistance. After a week or so she was participating in activities and making friends. Food is good, place is clean and it's fairly convenient.

Overall they are amazing and it's a great community. My dad lives in the Independent Living and my mom is in their memory care unit. They're a great job with both - especially the memory care. The food is average and they always turn over the chefs and not sure on the value for the money but seemed reasonable when we considered others. My parents have long term care policies that take care of a lot of the expense so that is not a big issue to them. Overall it's a very great place and we would highly recommend it. Pretty social community and just big enough but not too big.

The Facility is beautiful. My Dad is living in an Independent Living Apartment. It is spacious, has 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen, which was one of his requirements. He still loves to cook and bake. He bakes fresh bread from scratch every other week! He also has his own garage for his car. All of the apartments are on one floor which is a huge plus for the elderly too!

Overall the care services is a 5/5, but on the weekends we would give it 4/5. I am happy with the relationships of the staff with my mom. My mom feels respected as well as loved from most staff. Yes, we would highly recommend Park Place Senior Living to other families.

I highly recommend Traditions. The staff scrambled to help my family with emergency placement for my father. They sprung into action and secured him furniture and a room in under 12 hours. They were angels in my time of need. Never seen customer service of this level before. [names removed] are the epitome of elder care. There was no ask they did not address for me. They cared for my family member while I live out of town. They loved him through all levels of his care needs. And they always had his dignity at the center of their hearts.
