Traditions Management

When we first visited Traditions, I really liked it. Since my mom is there, I still do! It’s very nice, clean , and lots of things to do. The employees really make an effort to learn the residents names. Love that you can do your own laundry. If you have questions, just call and they will answer.

Has everything she needed in house, hairdresser, physical therapy, Dr visits once a month. Podiatrist comes there. Staff very kind, and helpful and friendly. She loves all of the activities and special holiday events with decorations. She loves it there and even has a new BFF. She was pleasantly surprised at how much room her studio has.

The staff is very nice & helpful. There are so many different room sizes to choose from, it just depends on what you're looking for. My Mom says the food is average & some days are better than others. She isn't able to participate in too many activities because of her health issues but they do offer quite a few different things & try to do "family type" celebrations as often as possible.

From the very beginning of my search it has been very positive. The staff has been personal , answered any concerns in a timely manner ,. The location is where I preferred to be. The is a very ample and varied activities to choose from . I am still in the area where I have lived for many years so thing are familiar so that will not be a big change since I still drive. I think , once I get settled and acquainted it was the very best choice for me and I will be happy with my decision .

Dads been an independent living so it’s a little bit different as far as being with staff all the time, etc. I went to staff when there was an issue and [name removed] (director) fixed it for me! Wonderful apartments! I would live there. Bedrooms and baths are large. There is a shower in the guest/hall bath. Garage. Price tag is hefty but thats in general I think for elder care. Nice front porch and back porch in the independent villas, and he has access to any 1 meal per day, and any others he chooses to purchase for self or guests are $[removed].

Nothing will be all that you hope for! QP will offer sign-on deals but don't feel that pressure. They offer them regularly. The programming discussed on the tours happens primarily in the main areas and is available to memory care patients only if family members take them. The memory care wing is very limited on concerts and special events. There is a clause in the paperwork that requires 30 day notice to vacate: INCLUDING IN THE EVENT OF DEATH. We were stuck with a full month of facility fee because mom died a few days before the new month. Very very disappointed no one pointed this out when mom was in decline. However, staff was loving and patient and should have an award for putting up with all of the families! They truly wept when mom died and that moved me. Mom was NOT alone!

This is a great facility for someone who wants activities. There are many options. They could improve on food quality. Room size is fine. I really like that they include cable and some furniture- made it much easier to move in.

Very thoughtful, all the staff. Food excellent. Nurse very helpful. Rooms clean.

The experience is good except for dining. Everything else is very good. Staff are very good. Have good activities. Residents seem to be friendly for the most part. Very compatible with everyone.

If you are going for a respite stay, make sure you bring underpads/briefs... they are not supplied, which I didn't realize. Also, the period were extremely nice and professional, but they don't do any real skilled nursing help. My husband had a wound on his foot which we told them about, but they never changed the dressing in the 9 days he was there. So if you have someone that needs more than basic care (toileting, meds, food), you might want to try somewhere else. The place is gorgeous and the people are very kind. I have no issues with that at all. Just wasn't what I expected for the care side of it.

The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is I think they give her evening medication too early. My mom is truly thriving; her overall health has improved since she is getting three meals per day, getting medication daily, and is socializing with other residents.

The food in the memory care unit at Traditions at Hunter Station is very limited in choice compared to the main dining room.

Very nice clean facility. Good people. We picked this community because it's convenient to my home, and the affordability.

We were very pleased with the welcome we got from staff! The rooms are large compared with many places. Extra nursing levels are charged if needed. Meals are very appetizing and are more comfort food than gourmet but very pleasing. The community has family meals once a month and they are a lot of fun (such as brunch, Olympic game night, corn roast, etc.) Lots of activities and friendly residents. We are very happy with our choice of this community.

He needed a higher level of care and they were making us pay extra for a sitter. Could improve Training of staff to take care of dementia patients better and understand the disease process. I did like the activities, they took him to church, and the food was good. Private rooms were very nice.

The initial review of Meadow Brook with [name removed] was completed well, and I am pleased with my apartment. The move in went well thanks to the help of son [name removed] and his wife [name removed],and daughter[name removed]. The staff have been helpful, and appreciate [name removed] help with a few things.

I'd say it's really nice and don't think twice about moving there. I wish there was more parking up at the big building. My parents are in the Villas and they don't go up to do activities very often, they said it's hard to find parking. Dinner is so early and it doesn't run long enough. But everyone is really friendly and I'm happy that they are there.

I was worried in the beginning that my mom wouldn’t like it and I had made a mistake suggesting that she go into assisted living. After about 2 weeks she got her routine and started socializing. Now she tells her friends and family that she just loves it At Traditions of Hunter station. She plays bingo, cards, and enjoys the live entertainment. She is almost always doing something. Thank you “a place for mom” with suggestions on facilities to visit and helping us get the ball rolling.

.HOUSEKEEPING does an excellent job with the weekly cleaning of rooms/apartments. Housekeeping personnel are friendly and accommodating. FRIENDLINESS: Everyone is very friendly. Nurses/aides are great. Reception staff is outstanding. CARE: Overall, the care is excellent. However, there is room for improvement in staffing for nurses and aides. I am not sure if staffing guidelines come from corporate or if those decisions are made by in-house management. STAFF: . nurses/aides are dedicated - very kind and caring . However, there seems to be an increase in turnover of nurses/aides, which could be attributed to frustration over staffing issues . MEALS. Quality of meals is inconsistent. ACTIVITIES: Traditions has an excellent activities director and offers many different activities .However, I would suggest more encouragement for those who might be shy or having trouble adjusting to what in many cases can be a life-changing experience. VALUE: Comparable value.

The medical director is unresponsive to calls. Rooms are not swept and bathrooms aren't cleaned well enough. Food and social was very good.
