Meals and dining are good except the dining room. People are forced to sit in an assigned seat at each meal. The people dine with the same people every meal and have limited availability during dining to socialize with the others not at their table in the dining room. We spoke to the staff on several occasions and have been told they are working on addressing the issue.

This is not a place where residents are placed into a room hence forgotten about. They keep a trained eye upon each resident. This offers peace of mind.

While it was a stressful situation we could not do it without the help, resource's and guidance provided by A Place for Moms. Summerfield also stepped up and offered the best professional experience. We picked this community because of they offered best overall service options and care, at an affordable price.

Overall it was a good experience, follow up with management if you have any concerns. We picked this community because of the room size, location, and grounds

This facility seems to struggle with having/keeping enough staff on hand. Sometimes they are short staff and/or have no shows. Some staff get overwhelmed and overworked. The food selections are sometimes poor, but they try to accommodate as much as they can. I think they have had a few turnovers in the kitchen with the cooks.

I visited PM to help a friend choose a place to live. She liked what we saw and the friendliness of residents that she met. She decided to take an apartment and has been there for several months now. You would need to survey her to know how she likes it.

Caring and attentive staff, they felt like family. Overall it is a really good place. I would recommend Venice Palms Senior Living to others.

Friendly, new owners are doing a lot of improvement work outside for some nice hang out areas. It's clean with nice rooms, and it is safe.

I give my move to the Oaks of Clearwater from River Commons Port Charlotte 2 years ago immediately after Hurricane Ian. A point of contention has been resident involvement in corporate decision making. A recently hired Executive Director has noticeably improved the situation withich better advanced notification of changes to site management. The two prior Executives during my first year did a very poor job of keeping residents informed as to how and when and if shortcomings in the physical plant and senior res care services would be improved. I think Corporate has gotten the message.

There were some initial rough spots when [name removed] first went, some I expect are normal to everyone adjusting to a new living arrangement and some because of the transition to new owners and staff changes.

Dining room is understaffed and food is average at best. Certain areas could use more deep cleaning. My mother in law is in independent living currently but will be transitioning to memory care at some point. We may move her to another facility for that since I've found out they never let the memory care residents outside.

I would really recommend this place.

I have no issues with the staff at Lake Morton Plaza, they all seem nice and helpful. Communication with the family is okay, sometimes it takes awhile for them to get back to me. They do provide light housekeeping. The meals seem to be good from what I've seen. Moving in was fairly easy. The rooms are very big and nice. It's a full one bedroom apartment. I would recommend Lake Morton Plaza to others.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The price is reasonable and very clean. My mom is very well adjusted there! As far as the food goes, they could have more variety in vegetables. For activities - try to get some good entertainment that the residents would enjoy and can participate in. I would like to see the families of the residents to have a monthly meeting on our concerns and suggestions.

My grandma loves it. All the residents are happy.

They were very supportive, even before we signed a lease, to help with the hospital and rehab forms. The move in process was seamless, very adaptable to my timing, and very friendly about letting me have the room a couple days early. The meals were better the first few weeks, but since they moved from Truewood to Summerfield, the meals seem to have gotten more sparse. We hope that picks back up. They are willing to let me text them, which is good, but the front desk never seems to pick up the phone. I would recommend them to others. It has been a month and a half, and I am very pleased with the entire experience, and the is one of the nicest and friendliest places that I looked at.

I would definitely recommend this facility. The staff is very friendly and kind to the residents. The communication is good. They have been very helpful and keep me informed. Thank goodness for housekeeping! They do a great job with cleaning and laundry. Move in was smooth, they helped me with acquiring furniture and a TV for my father's room. He loves the food! They had a nice luncheon for both Thanksgiving and Christmas where the family was invited.

Housekeeping cleans my apartment once a week. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is simple and very good, most of the time. Transportation available for outings. There is no "load elevator," making the move in somewhat cumbersome. Overall, I would recommend the facility to others.

The staff is welcoming and friendly. Immediately after move in prescription drugs were not administered although family provided the medication for a couple days until our loved one was put in the system - a bit concerning. Then medication was misplaced and again no meds for a couple of days and Truewood verbally told us they would pay for meds, however we were billed by Truewood. However, all other aspects of this facility are wonderful from housekeeping to food!

It is like a family. I picked this community because of the ambiance. They offer lots of fun activities.
