My mom seems to enjoy it. Especially the entertainment they have brought in. I did have a concern one day I went and there was nobody at the front door and other people there as well just walked in.

The staff is kind for the most part. It would be great, however if they greeted you with a smile-especially when you come in. The food/ dinning appears very good. The facilities are always clean. The rooms are big. On a couple of occasions, I have had to get someone to help a resident. So there is an opportunity for more awareness.

I would rate all of them between 4-5. It's a good fit for our family members, they understand their needs and respond accordingly, the cost fits their situation, it is a kind and caring facility

There have been issues with dining being too slow or them forgetting to put in her order. There was an incident with housekeeping, she came in and didn't announce herself as mom didn't hear her knock as the tv was on and she was in the bathroom with the door open. My mom looked up from the toilet and the housekeeper was standing in the doorway just staring at her. Other than that it's been pretty good. There are some wonderful people who work there and most are very friendly!

The staff are very attentive to the residents needs.

Based on the experience, we would recommend The Grande community to other families.

The staff is generally friendly and helpful, my wife likes it here There's a lot of staff that have been a long time employees, that's a good sign. In short, I'm satisfied and most importantly my wife is satisfied.

All of the fours stem from a shortage of staff this facility is pretty great and would be all fives if they were not running with state minimums of patience per caregivers currently

I looked at multiple places for my mother. She needed a place that offers independent living and a great social calendar. I looked at a The Grande three times before making my final decision to have my mother become a resident there. Each time I went I observed how the staff treated my mother and the current residents. The staff is always friendly and looks after them. If the staff doesn’t see them, then they check on them. They make sure they eat, which is comforting. Her room is spacious and it includes a small kitchenette. Another reason I chose The Grande was for the social activities they have each day. The only issues were setting up the WiFi and getting the A/C to cool properly. I would recommend The Grande to anyone looking for a place for their mom.

I'd say 4 across the board - she's been here for a year and it's difficult regardless - your patience and care are exceptional - we appreciate all you've done for my mother - keep up the good work

The facility is always spotless the apartments are spacious. The meals are well balanced. My father had been in a different Alf that was way more expensive and Venice palms is a much better facility. My father doesn't participate in the activities so I can't speak to much about them but I The administration is very responsive and available anytime I have a question.

Most of the staff is very nice, the dining hall food is pretty good; great variety and always able to order off of the menu for anything else that you might wanna have. It's not the Taj Mahal, however, the personality of the employees, their attention to the residents supersede a building that looks nice and has no personality. Certainly there are things that they could improve upon and it appears as if under new management they're working on some of these items. My father is in a one bedroom with a screened in patio that is the size of a small one bedroom. He's very happy there. Thank you for checking in. Overall, the staff, especially the weekday care staff are fantastic! They provide very personal and tender care. Things don’t seem to go very well on the weekends, however, and the follow up on certain issues has not always been to our liking. [name removed] and [name removed] were especially helpful in the transition from my mom having to move out of her home into Venice Palms.

Some of the rooms are quite large. The food isn't great. They have a fabulous activities daily. The common rooms are very nice, lots of space. The area outdoor is very nice and quiet, lovely to sit out.

The staff have earned a 10!! The entire staff at VP has gone over the top with willing, knowledgeable service to see that each and every resident is treated well. Since November 2024 I have observed a heap of activities for resident. This will help with their quality of life I'm sure. The medical folks there have been very proactive both with physical and mental health.

From the Executive Director, [name removed] to the front desk, Housekeeping and Maintenance staff are each here to help the residents.

The room cleaning is sub par, the laundry is sub par and the staff helpfulness is definitely sub par. I'm somewhat disappointed. The leadership is helpful but many (too many) of the staff don't [removed] about treating patients.

Based on the experience we have had, they could improve on the overall communication. However, the staff was great. The administration was fair to poor, but we would recommend this community to other families.

The staff is friendly and helpful. For the most part if you need something they are quick to help. Especially the maintenance staff.

What they could improve on would be cleaning the apartments more often. The common areas are fine. It would be nice to have a nurse on duty more than just Wednesday. But for the price it is fine. My sister signed mom up for Venice Palms before we had a chance to look around. If I had it to do over, I would not put her in there. She is going to need more care than they offer before long and it will be hard to move her. We found out recently that she has blood clots in her lungs. We have since brought in Hospice to increase her care.
