There is a lake and a pool in the back of the community. The staff are pretty good. The community is clean and well taken care of. My sister likes her room which has a small sitting room in it. They offer assisted living as well as independent living. I would recommend Spring Haven.

The staff were wonderful. They worked with me and I can not say enough good about things about them. They are very accommodating. The food is good and they are working to try and get my dad his food sooner and hotter. They do offer some activities but I wish there were more options. The community is well taken care of.

Things have gone very well at The Grande so far, I'd give them high marks across the board! It's a nice looking place, and the staff has been friendly, welcoming, and professional. Our loved one has settled in well and seems to be doing fine here!

My mother did NOT want to go to assisted living but after one visit to Summerfield she asked us, "When is the moving truck coming?" We were delighted to find a place where she immediately felt like she belonged, which was due to the friendliness of the staff. Although she has only been there about two weeks she has no complaints and seems to enjoy having her own space where she can be alone or step out of her door any time of the day to join others her own age in a variety of activities. Mom seems grateful to not have to worry about the daily chores of keeping up with a large house. (Though I don't expect her to ever admit that!) My husband and I have dropped in many times unannounced and have been pleasantly surprised in most cases. Our only concern is that the caregivers seem not as attentive when the head nurse is off duty. We arrived one time and found that she had not gotten her meds long after they were due. However, when the nurse is on duty things seem to run a bit better. Overall we are very pleased and hope that Summerfield will continue to meet our high expectations for helping my mother enjoy life.

Things have gone very well at Summerfield Retirement so far. The staff is friendly and professional, and they've been very accommodating throughout the whole process of helping my Mom settle in. The facility itself is nice looking, and always spotless! I think they do a great job here, overall.

Food is great. Place is clean. Only issue is one wing has aids on the weekend that are not responsive and doing their job. New management knows this and does seem to be making the right changes to fix it. I would recommend them. Both my parents are they and I feel good about that.

Hi. David at lake Morton is very friendly and kind. Our mom who lives there since our dad passed. We live in WI. He has been more than helpful getting he settled and keeping us in touch with the first few months during her transition. She must be having so much fun-it is hard to find her in her apartment. Thank you David!

WOW the place took us back--My sister and I brought our mom to look it over. We all were very pleased with the rooms-care-food- and service that you offered. We signed that day and mom has now been there 2 weeks and we all could not be more happy.

I am happy so far with my experience for my 85 year old friend, Anna Picheta. However, she is German, from Germany and it's hard for her to be outgoing to adjust to this new surroundings. I hope that she will do so. She is Glucose intolerant and we have spoken to the chef/cook and also to the staff about this food allergy, but so far, they have not made any provisions for her and they told us that they would before she moved in.

I placed my mother at the Grande earlier this month. Right from the beginning I found the staff to be willing to help and make mom feel right at home. Mom has really been enjoying the activities and says she is enjoyng the food choices too. Mom seems to be flourishing since she started living at the Grande. I no longer have to worry about her well being. A weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Great name for a great place.

The following observations regarding The Oaks are what I have experienced during the two months my mother has been residing in her independent living apartment on the 11th floor. The studio apartment is exceptionally clean and well appointed. Maid service once weekly is excellent and quite efficient. The unit has a small kitchen with refrigerator, sink and plenty of cabinet space. The bathroom is large and boasts several safety features, walk-in tub and excellent lighting. Everyone we have met on staff has been helpful, attentive and cordial. There is never a lack of activities (including special trips outside the complex), throughout the day and evening. The view, overlooking Clearwater Harbor, is beautiful and the grounds around the complex are well maintained. The dining room is spacious, the servers efficient and the food is plentiful and good. The only problem areas I have observed are the lack of enough elevators for the number of residents (but have been told two additional elevators will be added in the near future), and somewhat limited guest parking, mainly on weekends. In summary, I am quite pleased with The Oaks and would highly recommend it to others.

Every one was helpful and friendly. The place look clean and orderly and the service looked great. I am sure anyone would be happy here and happy with the staff.

They've been doing a great job here. It's clean, the caregivers are very attentive and friendly, and the place just has a good atmosphere. The director, Lawanda, is so sweet and so gentle. This place has gotten a positive reaction from all of the family members who have visited.

I found the facility staff to be quite helpful, concerned and caring.

Having come from a business environment where the competition is always nipping at your heals and chasing your clients, I whole-heartedly understand that balancing costs with profits and service is necessary for any business' survival today. And I know that, although I'd love for my mother to have "personal, 24 hr attention"; in today's world that is not possible unless $$ is of no concern...but it is (generally for most of us). My point being that a 1 to 1 client to caregiver ratio is financially impossible without big buck prices. Having said that I must say that the folks at Summerfield have never, ever, ever made me feel like $$ was the object of their existence. I am so grateful for the staff's positive outlook and generally optimistic attitude when it comes to dealing with elder care. I know that it cannot be easy to deal with the aging on a daily basis. They have my enduring respect, sincere gratitude and unquestionable support! Thank you Summerfield.

They have lots of activities for the residents and I feel they could do a better job letting the ones with memory issues understand clearly what's going on

The head Nurse [name removed] is fantastic. So caring and kind. When my mother accidentally fell and had to go to the hospital she texted me almost daily. I think it would be great if they had more art, craft activities. Possibly even writing or a reading group. They have puzzles but it would be nice to have a group doing puzzles together.

There was a bit of glitch with the care, particularly at night. The memory care coordinator, [name removed], is phenomenal! She is caring, diligent and patient. She helped both my mom and me get through this change. I can't say enough good things about Kate and how she manages the memory care unit.

First of all , my mother is on the 3rd floor which is memory care. Very different from AL. Most of the staff are very active and hands on. The laundry dept. is great on providing clean laundry but mixes up clothing regularly. I gave up trying to corral my mother’s clothing. She wears whatever. She is kept clean though and that is what is important. One thing – my mother’s wheel chair keeps disappearing and she ends up with another one even though I put her name on the one she came in with. [name removed] them well!
