We met with [name removed] and [name removed] and both set us at ease immediately. They really give Belvedere that feel of a family environment. The cost was higher than we feel our budget may allow but we need to be sure we are factoring in medical assistance at other facilities to get a true apples to apples cost. The room was also smaller than what we would like. Other than that we really liked it.

This is a small, full care community with a totally dedicated staff. It is not a resort. It is a comfortable home environment. The service to their residents is great and the food is fresh and great.

Liked this one, [name removed] gave us a lot of good info on how to look into benefits at VA and Medicaid. Was clean, lots of friendly staff, talked to a couple of the residents and they loved it there. The shared apts were very tight, not sure if that's a solution but Memory Care is expensive. Like that they can attend to all phases of my dad's aging without the need to move again later.

After a nice tour, we determined that this is too small for our needs (very social husband/wife); we found staff to be very caring. The residents seemed content, and the facility looked very clean and welcoming. A good fit for someone wanting a more intimate setting. I especially liked that the building surrounded a landscaping courtyard, which provided a nice view and windows down one side of each hallway. This created a bright environment.

I toured Brookdate in Onalaska on August 6th 2018. I met with [name removed] who was excellent and really seemed to love her job. She spent a lot of time with us and was always available for questions. I liked many things about this facility. It is small with only 19 residents which allows for them to get to know each other more easily. I liked that the residents get peeked in on every 2 hours through out the night but not awoken. I liked that they offered a very prescriptive care plan and were willing to accommodate just about any special care needed. We ended up going with another facility but it was a difficult choice. The other facility had a larger private apartment, more common area, onsite therapy and was closer to my home. I feel my mother in law would have done well here and I hope the same is true of the facility we selected.

I went on a tour here and the staff was helpful. They were not pushy. They answered all of my questions. The people are super friendly and the cost was great. The appearance was faded and the lighting was dark, I recommend families tour many places so they can compare.

I took a tour here. It’s a pretty nice place and they have a large amount of residents that can still do things on their own so there are definitely a variety of things to do. My mom wasn’t that interested, though, because she wanted a bit more support. My sister kind of liked the way it was laid out, though. We went on a Sunday and the guy that walked with us and took us on a tour was very helpful and nice. He took a lot of time to talk with us, show us the rooms, and answer our questions. I don’t think it was the right fit for my Mom’s needs, but it would be fine for someone that’s looking for something independent.

Rooms seem quite small

We toured quite a few communities and this one seemed to be on the older side than most of the other ones we toured. It was not as inviting it could have used some updating. The staff was nice very friendly very informative on the tour We did not eat here but from what we saw the food looked good and smelled very good.

I was primarily looking for a community in a convenient location for me to travel to. I had many options to consider and this community was actually not convenient for me. It would be suitable for another family.

My mom liked this community when she visited. She said the staff were nice and the community was clean. This community did seem to offer some nice amenities and activities.

Although I did not end up physically touring this facility, I spoke at length to [Removed] there, who provided a wealth of information and advice as to the attention given for assisted living at their residence. Compared to the other facilities in my search, it was evident that their location is very focused on providing the utmost care for and attention to the needs to their residents. If you are looking for a high standard of assistance for yourself or a loved one, I encourage you to include this Brookdale residence in your search, and hear from [Removed] himself of their commitment to resident care AND peace of mind for the family and loved ones.

We toured this community for my mother in law, and her needs. Everything went well, and everyone was very kind to my family, and I. The community looked good, you could tell they do a good job with the cleanliness. Our tour guide was great, and very informative. The experience went well, but this was not the facility for my mother in law, and her needs.

My loved one was recently at this community for a short respite stay and for the most part we where very pleased with how things had went for her. The staff where wonderful people and I was comfortable with the care they provided her. She had no complaints about the meals and enjoyed participating in some of the activities from time to time with the other residents. The staff could just not handle her wanting to take walks by her self throughout the day.

My father has recently made the move into this community and so far we are pleased with how things are going for him. The staff are kind and I am comfortable with the care he has been receiving. The property is always clean and nicely maintained for all of the residents. I am impressed at how well he is eating and how much he is loving the meals the chef serves. Overall it has been a great fit and we are very pleased.

My son had a nice tour with this facility. They had someone visit my loved one and give an assessment of her. The next day they said they could not take her because at the time she was bed ridden.

My family and I have always been hesitant about coming to terms with this part of our Mothers life, after retirement! As much as we all want to keep her with us at home, we know she would be better suited in a community that would be more her speed and give us ease of mind knowing that she would be taken care of like family. After reviewing and touring many Facilities we came upon Hanna Oaks and were overwhelmed at how wonderful they were from beginning to end. The facility is beautiful, the activities will keep her busy and the staff has been amazing. They really understood what it feels like to come to a decision for your elderly loved ones. From what some of the current Residents have told us, the new management/owners has made so many strides in improvement of the place. I would have never known there was ever a change because going to them was like going to a great aunts house, you get great company, great food, and there's always something to do. My family and I no longer worry about how my mom is doing because we know she is in great hands. There was a wonderful business office manager, [Removed], that still to this day will randomly call us just to check in with how we're doing and to see if there's anything she can do to make sure our mom's stay is pleasant. Now that's the type of care that I expect.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my loved one at this community. The staff have all been very helpful and made sure to accommodate my loved ones needs as best as they can. They are very good in stressful situations and I am very impressed with the management team. Overall very pleased with this place and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
