Nice but we were really looking for independent living.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. I was quite impressed by what I saw here! The facility was clean and well run, and the staff all seemed friendly and professional. Unfortunately, it was one of the more expensive options we saw, and out of our price range.

Nice place. Very clean and new feeling. Front office is responsive and available. Food is lacking. No medical services really by the owners, but good "vendors".

My mother has decided that she will be moving in with me. The concept behind this community is a great idea, if you have planned your retirement well and like to travel.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. We actually toured (and ultimately chose) a few Sunrise communities in the area, and we were quite impressed with all of them. Sunrise at Buckhead was a nice looking facility, the staff all seemed very friendly, and the residents seemed well taken care of. It wasn't the community we ended up choosing, but they looked like they do a great job.

I loved the facility -- especially the public areas and the services offered. The 1 BR den was a bit small as an alternative for two people. The people who helped us there, Garnet and Shannon, were wonderful.

Overall I think they have done a good job at Sunrise so far. It's a smaller community, and I like that they're able to give the residents more individualized attention. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff all seem friendly. I also like the the dining service always provides a few different choices for meals.

The Fairmont at Manassas was my second Facility Tour. I guess I should have researched better before going because I was under the assumption this was Assisted Living/Retirement but it is ONLY Retirement and if a resident has a Medical Issue, the Staff only calls 911, no Medical Assistance. If you are requiring someone just to check on your loved one to make sure they didn't loose their balance and fall, this is not the place. I spent 2 1/2 hours talking to the Community Sales Leader then a brief tour. I was there during lunch, but by the time we did the tour, lunch was over so I did not get a chance to sample the meals. The 1 Bedroom Suites I toured were small, the Bedroom was okay but the living area and Kitchenette was very small & crampted. The refrigerator in the Kitchenette was under-counter which would be difficult for someone with balance issues to reach the inside. I will continue my search.

Very nice facility but out of my price range

Smoky Springs was clean, and staff and residents were very friendly. Made a visitor and new comer welcome.

2BR - 1p $3799 Studio - $2349 418sqft, $2049 362sqft

Great Location. I liked the big studios. NIce layout. The public spaces need to be updated. New carpet, new furniture. Residents didn't appear as happy as the residents at Benton Village

Nice, friendly place. The staff were very sweet and addressed us each time we saw them. Dad is not ready for assisted living.... yet. But good to know this is an option.

This was a very nice community. It was more of an independent senior living and they didn't have any medical help. If the care needs increased we would have to move again. It wasn't a good fit for our needs.

I was pleased with them, but not with the home health service they had in house. I didn't have a choice of which service to use, we had to go with theirs. The nurse could not care for his wound, and he was no longer able to stay there. The people were very nice, very considerate. We were very impressed with it. The food was very good, they have programs for the residents.

Very accommodating. Would need ground floor apartment for the dog. Ability to lock-in the rate.

We visited this Estate. it was very nice,friendly and very clean. The rooms were a little small and our furniture is a little bulky. The price is too high for the size of the apt.

It has been fine, no problems so far. They've been very accommodating. They've been really good. A place for mom has been more than helpful providing different resources to go to. We really appreciate what they've done for us. It's a real nice place. We found them to be friendly. We had a few meals they weren't the best but they aren't bad, they are pretty nutritious and they have a lot of choices. The responsiveness and communication in the billing department could use a little improvement. There are good activities. There's enough of a choice that she can do a book club instead of bingo. It takes a little while to get to her in the evening when she needs help. When we were down there and wondering what to do, and where to go A Place For Mom was a great resource.

Caregiver supervision is exemplary. Staff is helpful

We have been very pleased with Sunrise of Decatur so far. The staff has been very friendly and seem to care about the residents. The facility is lovely and well maintained. We've never noticed any oders and all the residents in the Reminiscence unit look properly cared for. The executive director, Rhett is always happy to answer any questions and his newest assistant, Zack, is s the sweetest thing on four legs.
